January 2006 (has links)
Abstract: The present research was developed in citrus orchards located in commercial property in Rio Claro - SP region and it had as an objective the determination of the effect of cultural practice in the reduction of the source of inoculum and, consequently the reduction of strictness black spots in citric fruit, caused by Guignardia citricarpa. Two experiments in distinct areas were developed. In the first one, the influence of intercalary culture (peanut and coastcross grass) and later the skim of the a dough formed on the orange trees top 'Natal', in the floating of ascospores and in the strictness of the disease, while in the second experiment, the effect of different treatments were evaluated [(1) urea 12,5 g/liter; (2) calcium nitrate 12,5 g/liter; (3) dolomitic calcareous 2t/ha; (4) efficient microrganisms 1% from the active product; (5) the combination of the commercial products Stuble Aid® + Compostaid® 0,75 mL/liter + 0,75 g/liter and (6) Control] in the acceleration of the 'Siciliano' lemon trees leaves decomposition fallen down on the top trees and in the severity of the disease. It was concluded that the coastcross grass was the most efficient species in the supression of the discharge of the ascospores and in the decrease of the severity disease. In the second experiment, the treatments represented by the addition of microorganisms were the most efficient in the acceleration of the lemon trees leaves decomposition, however as for the severity of the disease, all the treatments presented the same performance, with statistically significative decreases in relation to control. / Mestre

Made available in DSpace on 2014-08-20T14:30:15Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao_Carolina_Camporese_Franca_Pinto.pdf: 1194614 bytes, checksum: 3e427b619208da3e88e0c1ce57f53f1f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-06-28 / The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review of prevalence of black stains and their association with dental caries. Also, this study aimed to estimate the prevalence of dental black stains from a cohort of children born in 2004 in Pelotas, RS, Brazil, evaluating the association with dental caries. For the systematic review, the following electronic databases were accessed: Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, EMBASE, MEDLINE, PubMed, LILACS, BBO. No language restriction was used and the combinations of the following keywords were used: prevalence, black stain teeth, black tooth stain, and their equivalents in Portuguese. The search was limited to studies in children and adolescents with deciduous and permanent teeth, and all studies showing prevalence of black stains were included. The selection of studies was done by three reviewers independently. The cross-sectional study included a sample of 1129 five years old children belonging to the Pelotas birth cohort. Children were visited to carry out examination and a questionnaire including questions about demographics conditions, habits and behaviors related to oral health. Clinical examination included assessment of the presence or absence of black stains and presence of caries by DMFT. Logistic regression was used to analyze the data. The prevalence of black stains was 3.5% (95% CI 2.5 to 4.7), and the prevalence of caries was 48.4% (95% CI 45.4 to 51.4). Black stains and decay were more prevalent in light or dark-skinned black children, in those from mothers with lower level of education and low income level. Adjusted analysis revealed that the presence of black stains was associated with lower levels of dental caries (OR=0.51; 95% CI=0.26-0.99; p=0.048). Considering the results from the systematic review, 129 papers were found from the search with the keywords, and nine met the established inclusion criteria. The prevalence of black stains found in the studies was 10.4% (95% CI 6.8 to 14.1) for permanent teeth, and 4.0% (95% CI 0.43 to 7.5) for deciduous teeth. From the selected studies, five showed lower caries experience in individuals with black stains on the teeth. Conclusions: Based on the analysis of the reviewed studies and considering the data from the cross-sectional study conducted, it is suggested that the diagnosis of black stains should be based on the presence of black spots and / or the formation of linear pigmentation round the gingival margin and / or diffuse the dental crown, and these patches must be difficult to remove, and must be present in at least two teeth. Dark stains can be considered a condition of protection to tooth decay, but studies must be conducted so that the determinant of the black stains and therefore the actual protective factor is known and further explored / O objetivo do presente estudo foi realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre prevalência de manchas negras e associação com cárie dentária; e estimar a prevalência de manchas negras dentais em crianças pertencentes à coorte de nascimentos de 2004 de Pelotas, RS-Brasil, avaliando a sua associação com cárie dentária.

Arqueologia guarani na bacia do rio Santo Anastácio-SP: estudo do sítio Célia Maria / Guarani Archaeology the River Basin Santo Anastácio - SP: Study Site Célia Maria

Pereira, David Lugli Turtera 29 February 2012 (has links)
The research conducted in the archaeological site area Célia Maria, located in the River Basin Santo Anastácio (tributary of the Paraná Basin), State of São Paulo, demonstrated a precolonial Guarani occupation. The pottery was dated by thermoluminescence, standing occupation around 450±60 years ago. This work has data concerning pottery indentified in Site Célia Maria, who also had three black spots, polished lytic and as possible combustion structure. From the techno-typological ceramics analysis, we demonstrated the gestures sequence to the production of technical artifacts, as well as graphically reconstitute the form of vessels, from fragments of edges. These reconstructions allowed inferring the shape and function of the ancient Guarani containers. The data added to the spatial characteristics of ceramics tributes of Site Célia Maria were compared with other available research that focused on the presence of the Guarani in the Basin of Paraná and Paranapanema.

Maladie des taches noires de l'ananas : étude des relations hôte-pathogène et compréhension des mécanismes physiologiques de résistance / Pineapple fruitlet core rot disease : host-pathogen interactions and physiological mechanisms of resistance involved

Barral, Bastien 14 December 2017 (has links)
Fruiltet core rot (FCR) disease affects the fruits of mature pineapples. Current disease controls are not available. A deeper knowledge of the pathosystem is needed to find an effective means of control FCR.A diagnostic survey conducted with producers during the southern winter revealed a prevalence of the disease of 74%. Pathogenic fungi belong to several species: Fusarium ananatum (72% isolates), Talaromyces stollii (21%), F. oxysporum (6%) and F. proliferatum (1%). Their toxinogenic potential was determined. Fusarium fungi produced mycotoxins identified as fumonisins FB1, FB2 and beauvericin. On a pineapple culture medium, a concentration of beauvericine of 34959 μg kg-1 was measured for the species F. proliferatum.A method of inoculating Fusarium ananatum directly into the parenchyma allowed to describe the biochemical response of the fruit. The phenylpropanoids pathway is involved, particularly with the elicitation of caffeoylisocitrate and coumaroylisocitrate in the infected zone. A comparison of the metabolic profiles shows that the response to inoculation of resistant cultivar 'MD-2' is higher than in the sensitive cultivar 'Queen'. Most of the metabolites elicited by the attack are already present in healthy mature fruits of the resistant variety. The antifungal potential of the phenolic compounds was evaluated. Coumaric, caffeoylquinic and ferulic acids inhibit mycelial growth at concentrations similar to those found in infected fruits. An imaging approach allowed to describe the anatomy of the fruits of the two cultivars, to identify the key roles played by nectaries and carpel margins in the infection and colonization process of Fusarium ananatum.

Regionale Verteilung von Fahrradunfällen auf dem Schulweg in Bayern

Renner, Simon 05 December 2016 (has links)
Analyzing the number of accidents between 2007 and 2011, registered by the Kommunale Unfallversicherung Bayern, revealed great regional differences in bicycle traffic accidents on the way to school in Bavaria. A multi-stage, multi-methodical study design was set up to find answers to the question, if it is actually more dangerous to cycle to school in districts with high accident rates. The reasons for regional discrepancies in these accident rates were identified, while a varying rate of bicycle use was detected the main cause for interregional differences in the number of accidents.Regression analysis indicated that the majority of spatial variance in accident rates is based on different cycling conditions; the further and more hilly the way to school, the less accidents occur. However, it can be assumed that this correlation is a consequence of lower bicycle use. On the other hand in regions with similar cycling conditions great differences in bicycle traffic accidents can be observed, which the study shows for the district-free, mid-sized cities Rosenheim and Schweinfurt. This case-control-study on the way-to-school mobility measured for the two cities the exposition-adjusted risk of accident and was performed to reveal if this effect is also caused by varying bicycle use rates. The study pinpointed the fact that distance- and time-related incidence rates are almost identical in both study regions, which is an evidence for bicycle use rates mainly affecting the number of accidents. The reasons for differing bicycle usage were examined empirically by questioning pupils and teachers. As a conclusion, accident black spots in pupils` bicycle traffic are statistical artefacts, as the accident risk was gathered from the accident rate without knowing bicycle use rates. However, regardless of the region, cycling to school is remarkably more dangerous than cycling to work, a fact that underlines the urgency to act preventively.

Σκλήβα, Παρασκευή 05 February 2015 (has links)
This master thesis aims to study road accidents and identify hotspots at Western Greece Region.
