Česká food blogosféra a její vývoj / Czech food blogosphere and its development

The thesis deals with the Czech food blogosphere and its development. It describes food studies and theoretical disciplines which had participated on the development. It presents current trends of online gastronomy. It defines blogs with the short note of the Web 2.0, describes their history. Also mentions the authors of the blogs as online influencers who might influence own readers and their opinions. It is followed by the history of foreign and Czech food blogs with their main representatives. Commercial possibility of blog and professionalism of bloggers is also mentioned. Part of the thesis presents the external and internal motivations to write blog. Shortly, the thesis describes the critism of food blogs and also the plagiarism issues. The thesis presents the future of blogging as well. The conducted qualitative research is based on six semi-structured interviews with food bloggers and deals with their opinions of the Czech food blogosphere and creating and maintaining the blogs. It researches their motivation to write and tries to find out the positive and negative aspect of blogging and presumed development of Czech food blogs.

The main objective of the thesis was to explore the phenomenon of fashion blogs. Not in terms of their marketing or journalistic function as it was originally intended, but in a way of an examination of the position of the blog author. We focused on the reasons for the motivation of the authors of the blog leading them to continue their work. The first chapter outlined the process of creation of the blog and the development of the blog in general. Based on research of the literature related to the fashion and media, the development of the fashion blog in the Czech Republic was described. The second chapter studied theoretical preview on blogs, which showed the strong relationship between media and blogging, defined marketing influence in the blogging and described product placement. At the same time we have shown from a theoretical point of view, based on the literature sources, the importance for the authors of the blogs of building social capital by blogging. This fact was analysed in the research part of the thesis when the individual answers of the Czech bloggers were presented. The research part of the thesis compared the theory with the practice based on conclusions of the Czech discourse on fashion. The main objective of this master thesis is to discuss the phenomenon of fashion blogs and exploring its features and benefits for the Czech discourse about fashion. The evolution of blogging as a technological phenomenon with mass expansion of the internet and its development is mapped by researching respective literature that deals with fashion and its communication in the media, besides that there is also explored the nature of blogs and their place among traditional media such as print, television or radio. The research would not be complete without proper examination of the motivation that leads to the formation of blogs and of course results of such blogging that can be considered successful. Given that the fashion industry is built on communication of trends and subsequent sales of products that can be described as fashionable, the work aims to deal with the transformation in use of media for this purpose. Following that there is then examined the relationship between blogging and journalism, respectively fashion magazines and the nature of advertising, which is inevitably included in the fashion industry. The popular women’s magazine Sou mais Eu, published by Abril publisher, provides this study with a report on the story of life of Melita Luzia Santos. This text is compared to narration, with no journalistic mediation of the protagonist in her personal blog, Saída de Emergência (Emergency Exit). According to the discussion interlined in Phillipe Lejeune on the Pacto Autobiográfico (The Autobiographical Pact), both the magazine and the blog are autobiographic with different degrees of subordinate representation and writing opening. Both texts selected have a grammatical “I” that refers to the name of Melita Luzia dos Santos, the difference between them is in the fact that on the magazine the journalist is the one who writes it while on the blog the protagonist is the one who writes it. On this dichotomy, the usage or misusage of “I” in the narrations are compared from the conception of an identity language, these proposed by Roland Barthes on O Grau Zero da Escritura (Writing Degree Zero). This work has also provided the theoretical support to choose Quarto de Despejo (Beyond All Pity), by Carolina Maria de Jesus, as the referential model of truth functional language. The choice of this methodological approach has been crucial to accomplish the analysis out of the limits imposed by a spelling and andocentric culture that would, likely, point at a traditional linguistic analysis. Michel Foucault with the text A vida dos Homens Infames (The Life of Coward Men) and Gayatri Spivak with the work Pode o Subalterno Falar?(Can the Subaltern Speak?) compose the theoretical surrounding that, in the end, lies over subordinate female self-narrations in contemporaneity, whose extent and contextual implications required the usage of the dialectic method. / Centrado na investigação da linguagem identitária marginal no circuito editorial tradicional e na blogosfera, este estudo de caso se articula em uma análise comparativa entre duas narrativas em primeira pessoa. A revista feminina popular Sou Mais Eu, publicada pela Editora Abril, fornece ao estudo a matéria jornalística com o relato de vida de Melita Luzia Santos. Este texto é comparado à narrativa, sem mediação jornalística, da mesma protagonista em seu blog pessoal, o Saída de Emergência. De acordo com argumentação pautada em Phillipe Lejeune no Pacto Autobiográfico, tanto a revista quanto o blog são autobiográficos com graus diferentes de abertura à representação e à escrita subalternas. Ambos os textos selecionados têm um "eu" gramatical que se refere ao nome próprio Melita Luzia dos Santos, a diferença entre eles reside no fato de que na revista quem escreve é o jornalista enquanto no blog a própria protagonista que toma frente ao texto. Sobre esta dicotomia, o (des)encontro dos 'eus' enunciados nas narrativas são comparados a partir da concepção de uma linguagem identitária, proposta por Roland Barthes em O Grau Zero da Escritura. Esta obra também ofereceu o suporte teórico para a escolha da obra Quarto de Despejo, de Carolina Maria de Jesus, como modelo referencial de linguagem em funcionamento de verdade. A escolha deste caminho metodológico foi decisiva para que fosse realizada a análise fora dos limites impostos por uma cultura grafo e androcêntrica, que, muito provavelmente, apontaria para uma análise linguística tradicional. Michel Foucault com o texto A vida dos Homens Infames e Gayatri Spivak com a obra Pode o Subalterno Falar? compõem o cerco teórico que, em última instância, repousa sobre as autonarrativas femininas subalternas na contemporaneidade, cuja amplitude de implicações contextuais exigiu a adoção do método dialético.

Greimas, E. Landowski and A.C. Oliveira, it will be investigated how women s Fashion and Beauty blogs named Elfinha and Vende na Farmácia? (Little Elf and Is it Sold on the Drugstore?) engender themselves in lieu of the consumers speeches (bloggers and readers), considering the way by which such virtual spaces have become value objects - as much as for the addressees (consumers and blog readers) involved in this interaction - as for the market and its corporations, who seek for nearness with their respective targets. The research hypothesis states that the dissemination of internet uses has enabled the amplification and diversification of the addressees voice place in mass communications. Nowadays, social networks, virtual pages, discussion forums and blogs present an advantage in terms of information transmission speed and even an efficacy related to traditional medias, once the interaction is more direct and able to produce nearness effects and, therefore, reduce mediations between interlocutors. Especially on the blogs case, the media s nature allows itself to be converted into a place for content production that is availible for everyone to reach. Hence, bloggers and readers have the opportunity to turn themselves into sanctioners that, in the specific cases linked to Fashion and Beauty, lead to a make-consume carried together. In Elfinha and Vende na Farmácia? the interaction happens among bloggers and readers that, equally, are consumers and network users, what brings them close throughout expression and content plans and favors the development of a mutual identification, encouraging the establishment of a communication contract and the dynamic of interaction regimes described by E. Landowski. In the context of a post-modern society, in which an individual s place is established from and by the act of consuming, the modalities (volitional and cognitives) permeate more and more the interactions also within these blogs. Thus, they become another marketing instrument, once they are capable of modalizing their relations with the readers towards a managed interaction, largely held by the manipulation and reactive adjustment regimes. However, the blogosphere professionalization - through relations increasingly regulated by mercadologic initiatives - jeopardize some of the characteristics that have raised its post to a value object: freedom, democratization and authenticity / Utilizando as teorias da semiótica discursiva desenvolvidas por A.J. Greimas, E. Landowski e A.C. Oliveira, será investigado como os blogs de moda e beleza feminina Elfinha e Vende na Farmácia? constituem-se em lugar da fala de consumidoras (blogueiras e leitoras), considerando o modo pelo qual esses espaços virtuais tornam-se objeto de valor, tanto para os destinatários (consumidoras e leitoras dos blogs) envolvidos nessa interação, quanto para o mercado e suas corporações, que buscam proximidade com seus respectivos públicos-alvo. A hipótese de pesquisa afirma que a disseminação de usos da internet possibilitou amplificar e diversificar o lugar de voz dos destinatários das comunicações massivas. Atualmente, redes sociais, páginas virtuais, fóruns de discussão e blogs ganham em velocidade de transmissão de informações e mesmo em eficácia com relação aos meios de comunicação tradicionais, uma vez que a interação é mais direta e consegue produzir efeitos de proximidade, reduzindo as mediações entre os interlocutores. Em especial no caso dos blogs, a natureza da mídia permite que esta se converta em um lugar de produção de conteúdo ao alcance de todos. Blogueiras e leitoras têm então a oportunidade de transformar-se em sancionadoras, que, no caso específico das temáticas ligadas a moda e beleza, levam a um fazer-consumir junto. Em Elfinha e Vende na Farmácia? a interação acontece entre blogueiras e leitoras que são igualmente consumidoras e também usuárias da rede, aproximando-as, por meio dos planos da expressão e do conteúdo, e favorecendo o desenvolvimento de uma identificação mútua, o que fomenta o estabelecimento de um contrato de comunicação e a dinâmica dos regimes de interação descritos por E. Landowski. No contexto de uma sociedade pós-moderna, em que o lugar do indivíduo se estabelece a partir do e pelo consumir, as modalidades (volitivas e cognitivas) permeiam cada vez mais as interações também dentro desses blogs. Eles se transformam, assim, em mais uma ferramenta mercadológica, uma vez que são capazes de modalizar suas relações com os leitores em direção a uma interação gerida, em grande parte, pelos regimes da manipulação e do ajustamento reativo. In this diploma thesis I deal with the topic of blogs. My main goal was to introduce the part of blogs called mommyblogs and to define it as a separate category in the theoretical background chapter. In the practical part, I decided to use quantitative methods of data collection through a questionnaire survey. The survey was aimed at both mommy bloggers and their readers. I supplemented the questionnaires with depth interviews with selected mommy bloggers. Which helped me to obtain even more detailed data, which enriched the data obtained from both questionnaires. I found out what motivates mommy bloggers to blog, but also what their attitude is towards cooperation with companies and how they select and label collaborations. Have they ever felt exploited either by companies or by social media? The respondents also touched on the topic of ethics and responsibility - either regarding the placement of photos of children on social media or regarding products whose promotion is bound by regulations. I tried to find out the ability of the readers to recognize advertisements on blogs and social networks of mommy bloggers. And also how the advertising message of mommy bloggers affects their readers. This thesis focuses only on bloggers from the Czech Republic.

This diploma thesis deals with food blogs as a current phenomenon. The theoretical part first brings a look at the historical context and development that preceded the existence of blogs. It focuses on communication, media and the Internet. It also offers definitions of these key and related terms and theoretical background that are needed to understand the context. Subsequently, the work discusses journalism and the position of blogs in this field. It continues with a detailed elaboration of the topic of blogs. It analyzes their historical context in our country and in the world, defines concepts, distinguishes types of blogs, draws attention to the pitfalls of blogging, deals with etiquette and laws, presents current trends and surveys, addresses authors - bloggers and their motivation, the position of bloggers towards journalists, the expected future and influencers. Diploma thesis "Different approach to mediation in the blogosphere and the mass media" deals with the means blogs and mass media use to mediate news topics and expert topics to their audiences. In addition this study deals with the relationship between blogosphere and mass media. In the theoretical part this study brings depiction of the development of blogs through the scope of democratic media and democratization of the public sphere. Theoretical part furthermore discusses different approaches to the blog definitions and its basic characteristics. On the basis of this discussion it divides blogs into different types. Finally, this part offers summary of the former studies concerned with blogging. This part creates the base for the construction of research questions and hypotheses. The practical part is concerned with carrying out the content analysis of the articles connected to two different topics. As news topic was chosen the topic of placing the US radar on the Czech Republic territory. This topic was covered between years 2006 and 2008. As expert topic was chosen the introduction of the new micropayment service Paysec. Individual findings are interpreted with the help of statistical methods. Conclusion discusses generalized findings and theoretical implication of the study.

The first part is devoted to information and communication specifics of modern Russian blogosphere. The second part deals with questions of the communicative behavior and its structure, different classifications of the basic types of bloggers and understanding of characteristics of their communicative behavior. The third part is devoted to the analysis of the communicative model blogger Veronica Belotserkovskaya and set of her voice masks used to create her online identity. / Тема данного научного исследования лежит в области изучения различных форм проявления авторского «я» в интернет-текстах. Блог Belonika интересен как самой личностью автора, так и уникальной авторской нарративной стратегией. Первая часть работы посвящена информационной и коммуникативной специфике современной русской блогосферы. Во второй части рассматриваются вопросы коммуникативного поведения и его структуры, приводятся различные классификации основных типов блогеров и разбираются особенности их коммуникативного поведения. Работа посвящена сравнительному изучению доминантных и специфичных метафорических моделей, конструирующих образ СВО в период с 24.02.2022 г. по 24.08.2022 г. в англоязычной и русскоязычной блогосферах. В качестве материала для исследования были использованы персональные политические видеоблоги: англоязычный видеоблог «CaspianReport» и русскоязычный видеоблог «БесогонTV». В ходе исследования были выделены и проанализированы 293 метафорические модели, 146 на английском языке и 147 на русском. В первой части работы рассматриваются подходы к определению политического дискурса и анализируются его особенности. Далее рассматривается процесс метафорического моделирования в политическом дискурсе, поскольку теория политической метафоры является одним из активно развивающихся направлений когнитивной лингвистики. Далее рассматриваются блогосфера и сфера интернет-дискурса и их характерные особенности. Во второй части работы описываются источники и принципы отбора материала, выявляются и систематизируются концептуальные метафоры в англоязычном и русскоязычном политических персональных видеоблогах. Основываясь на материале исследования, анализируются доминантные и специфичные метафорические модели, участвующие в создании образа СВО в сюжетах видеоблогов. В ходе анализа выявилось, что в англоязычном видеоблоге самой частотной сферой-источником стала «Игра и спорт», в русскоязычном – «Человеческий организм». Также в работе описан подробный анализ фреймов в сферах-источниках выявленных метафорических моделей. Для каждого видеоблога делаются сравнительные количественные наблюдения, представленные в виде диаграмм. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы в практике преподавания иностранного языка, курсов по политической лингвистике, дискурсу, политической метафорологии, межкультурной коммуникации. В приложении приводится список проанализированных англоязычных и русскоязычных метафорических единиц в контексте сюжетов видеоблогов. / The work is devoted to the comparative study of dominant and specific metaphorical models that create the image of a special military operation in the English-speaking and Russian-speaking blogospheres. The analysis of events covers the period from February 24, 2022 to August 24, 2022. Personal political videoblogs are used as research material: the English-language videoblog "CaspianReport" and the Russian-language videoblog "BesogonTV". During the study, 293 metaphorical models were identified and analyzed, 146 in English and 147 in Russian. In the first part of the work, approaches to the definition of political discourse are considered and its features are analyzed. Next, the process of metaphorical modeling in political discourse is considered, since the theory of political metaphor is one of the actively developing areas of cognitive linguistics. Next, the blogosphere and the sphere of Internet discourse and their characteristic features are considered. In the second part of the work the sources and principles of material selection are described, conceptual metaphors in English and Russian-language political personal videoblogs are identified and systematized. Based on the research material, the dominant and specific metaphorical models involved in creating the image of a special military operation in the plots of videoblogs are analyzed. During the analysis, it is revealed that in the English-language videoblog, the most frequent source-domain is "Game and Sport", in the Russian–language – "The Human body". The paper also describes a detailed analysis of frames in the source-domain of the identified metaphorical models. Comparative quantitative observations are made for each videoblog, presented in the form of diagrams. The results of the research can be used in the practice of teaching a foreign language, courses in political linguistics, discourse, political metaphorology, intercultural communication. The appendix contains a list of analyzed English and Russian metaphorical units in the context of videoblog plots.
