Incidence de la prise en charge hypnothérapeutique sur le fonctionnement psychique et l'image du corps des sujets douloureux chroniques / Impact of hypnotherapeutic treatment on the psychic functioning and body image of chronic pain subject

Bondier, Morgane 26 September 2014 (has links)
La prise en charge hypnothérapeutique semble exercer une incidence au niveau de l’image du corps et de l’instance moïque à même de contribuer à la restauration de l’équilibre psychique / This thesis work seeks to study the psychic dynamic of chronic pain subjects, as well as to assess the impact of a hypnotherapeutic treatment on the psychic functioning in this population. This research strategy relies on the following methodology: Rorschach test, ill tree test, MMPI-2 test, on a 36-subject population distributed in a clinical group and a witness group. On chronic pain subjects, results show a psychic functioning pronounced by the presence of an Ego that can not deploy sufficient protection to re-establish a balance following a somatopsychic break that the pain represents. Following a hypnotherapy, results show modifications of the psychic dynamic. They show a strengthening of the ego allowing a revision of the emotional sphere, as well as a better relation to reality and a narcissistic restoration. The treatment generates a better the perception of body image. The impact of psychic functioning from the effects of the hypnotherapy treatment seems to be related to the psychopathology level of the subjects. Results show that hypnosis can potentially be used as a psychotherapeutic technique. Hypnosis treatment seems to exercise an effect on the body image and the ego that may contribute to the restoration of the psychic balance

Parenteral nutrition in the palliative phase of cancer in patients : orality to orality through the skin

Mathieu-Nicot, Florence 08 December 2014 (has links)
The practice of prescribing parenteral nutrition in the palliative phase of cancer leads to different reactions in patients. In this work, we will take a psychological approach to the experience of body image in this phase of cancer. Interviewing patients who accept or refuse this parenteral nutrition, we will focus on certain functions of the “Moi-peau” concept defined by Didier Anzieu. Indeed, creating an artificial area of the body for nutrition purposes disturbs body image in the field of orality. How will the “me” of the subject invest in this new body economically ?

Utterborn, Ylva, Leguisamo, Pilar January 2017 (has links)
As women's perception of their own body focuses on devaluing it rather than responding positively to it, current research on positive body image among women today is scarce. Previous research on the topic has mostly examined a negative body image and the relationship between media and the body. Considerable research for this study has been done by Frisén (2014) and Christina Holmqvist Gattario (2013), their studies have discussed the motives behind a positive body image, which has proven to be a focus on the body's function rather than appearance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out how young women develop a positive body image. This study is qualitative in nature and consists of eight interviews conducted among young women aged 20 to 26 years. The theoretical framework selected for this essay is Roland Paulsens’ (2010) development of Pierre Bourdieus’ (1979/2010) theory of Physical capital and Fanny Ambjörnsons’ (2003) theory of Making of femininity. The results of this study show that relationships with a boyfriend or family, have played a crucial role for the perception of a positive body image.

This research studies body image (Mental Body Representation) and offers an analysis from the perspective of Carl Gustav Jung¿s symbolic representation. This is a key aspect of Jungian theory and refers to the conception of image, as well as symbol and archetypes, as studied and described by the Swiss psychiatrist. The interface between body image and symbolic representation, as understood by Carl Gustav Jung, aims to contribute to the analysis of both studies. To deal with this subject this research is divided in three chapters. The first chapter emphasizes body image studies and their respective perspectives. It seeks to explain the meaning of contents in order to understand the relation between body image and symbolic representation. A brief historical is presented, with its multiple components, conceits and implications regarding the theme. The second chapter addresses symbolic representation and archetypal definitions pointed out in the writings of Jung and other authors who offer research in Jungian symbolic representation. The third chapter emphasizes mental body studies and body conception according to various authors, including: Françoise Dolto, Michel Foucault and the Neurologist Antonio Damasio. This dialogue establishes a parallel between Jung¿s approaches and other related authors. The final chapter deals with the study of mental image and the concept of body in C. G. Jung, paying particular attention to the concept of body image representation (body image). In summary, it is proposed that these are the studies that guide the interfaces between body image and body representation (mental and body image conceptions) / Doutorado / Atividade Fisica, Adaptação e Saude / Mestre em Educação Física
