A historiografia relativa a esse conjunto, em algumas das localidades estudadas, distinguiu aspectos norteadores da análise, principalmente na acumulação de capital que ultrapassou a cultura do café e atingiu o setor industrial, deixando progressivamente à margem as relações do financiamento e do crédito aos cafezais. Desta forma, passamos a interpretar e verificar o mérito da lavoura de café e as relações de crédito predominantes em Descalvado, além dos reflexos na escala social dessas atividades. A pesquisa histórica foi sendo desenvolvida no decurso de sub-períodos, analisando os momentos de crise e expansão da cafeicultura, elementos tão rotineiros na produção de café como produto nuclear. Para desenvolver a pesquisa, recorremos aos métodos e aos debates recentes, presentes em pesquisas na área de história econômica que lidam com fontes, tais como: os Livros Cartoriais, em especial as escrituras de dívidas hipotecárias e de penhores agrícolas. Esse procedimento confere panorama mais amplo e adequado para a análise das questões econômicas do município, observando seu papel no desenvolvimento da dinâmica de acumulação da riqueza em Descalvado e seus impactos na esfera social / This study aims to analyze the coffee complex through the close relationship between the need for credit, which is essential to the maintenance of the coffee plantation, at regional level, in which we will observe the nuances and variations of this complex in the town of Descalvado, comprising the period from 1873 to 1915. The historiography on this set, in some of the towns that we studied, has distinguished some aspects that guided the analysis, mainly the accumulation of money that exceeded the cultivation of coffee and hit the industrial sector, leaving financing and credit for coffee plantations progressively aside. In this way, we submit to construe and verify the merits of the coffee farming and the credit relations prevalent in Descalvado and also the reflections, at social scale, of these activities. Historical researches have been developed during sub-periods, analyzing the moments of crisis and expansion of coffee, that are routine elements in the production of coffee as the core product. To develop the research, we will resort to methods and recent debates present at investigations in the area of economic history dealing with sources such as: Notarial Books, in particular with the writings of mortgages and deeds of agricultural liens. This procedure gives us a wider and more appropriate framework for the analysis of economic issues in the town, noting its role in the development of the dynamics of wealth accumulation and its impacts in the social sphere in Descalvado

Na região, um dos mais importantes representantes foi o do Coronel Estevam Marcolino de Figueiredo, personagem central desta pesquisa. Objetivando relacionar estes três elementos fundantes - política, economia cafeeira e modernização urbana - , onipresentes no vertiginoso processo de transformação que varreu o interior de São Paulo no final do século XIX e início do XX, será utilizado como recorte histórico o período que vai de 1889 a 1914 e como referência urbana a cidade de Patrocínio Paulista, onde nosso personagem central nasceu e deu os primeiros passos na política, se afirmando como líder político local e como deputado na Câmara dos Deputados do Estado de São Paulo e na Câmara Federal. Tendo construído sólida carreira política e arrebanhado enorme apoio popular, Marcolino foi também homem influente na cultura e na sociedade, contribuindo para a consolidação política e social de sua cidade natal no rastro das transformações movidas pela força econômica do café na virada do século, estas por sua vez pautadas por novos modelos culturais. O Coronel Estevam Marcolino personificaria esse ideal por sua sua grande influência política, que o projetaria em nível estadual e federal. In the region, one of the most important representatives of the Colonel was the Estevam Marcolino de Figueiredo, central character of this research. Aiming relate these three elements structures - politics, economy and upgrading urban coffee - and ubiquitous in the vertiginous process of transformation that varreu the interior of Sao Paulo at the end of the nineteenth century and beginning of XX, will be used as crop history the period from 1889 to 1914 and as a reference to urban city of Sponsorship Paulista, where our central character was born and took the first steps in politics, as if saying local political leader and a deputy in the Chamber of Deputies of the State of Sao Paulo and the Federal Board. Starting from the photographs collection produced by the agricultural expert Armínio Kaiser between 1957 and 1970 at the north area of Paraná State coffee plantations, and from this collection (re)emergence context in the social circuit, because of the cultural projects called Revelações da História (History Revelations) and Grãos de ouro em sais de prata (Golden granes on silver salts), which have been developed in Londrina-PR between 2007-2008 and 2008-2009, respectively. While the first one developed recovery, preservation actions over the material of 1291 photographic negatives, and diffused it across several ways, the second one searched through Londrina rural districts registering on vídeo the testimonies from coffee growers around 139 Arminio Kaiser s photographs. The photographer Armínio Kaiser (the operator, on Roland Bathes conception) relations with the photographs were thought not only about the production moment, as well as the moment of its heritage turn , after decades. At the same time, the narratives produced by the coffee growers were presented and analyzed when they make contact with the Kaiser s photographic registers (these are the spectator narratives). Finally, searching to build an historical narrative which includes multiple image appropriations since the photographer until the observer contemplations the present work prints the necessary thought about the photographic and spoken discourses themselves on the historical text, as the ways to operate on stands and language translations observing a point of view from the Present Times History / A presente dissertação discute a fotografia como vetor de narrativas. Parte-se de um conjunto de fotografias produzidas pelo agrônomo Armínio Kaiser entre 1957 e 1970 nas lavouras de café do norte do Paraná, e do contexto de (re)emergência deste acervo no circuito social, a partir dos projetos culturais Revelações da História e Grãos de ouro em sais de prata , realizados na cidade de Londrina-PR entre 2007-2008 e 2008-2009, respectivamente. Enquanto o primeiro projeto desenvolveu ações de recuperação, preservação e difusão do bem material (1291 negativos) através de diferentes meios, o segundo percorreu distritos da zona rural de Londrina, a registrar em vídeo depoimentos de trabalhadores e ex-trabalhadores do café em torno de 139 fotografias de Armínio Kaiser. São problematizadas as relações do produtor das fotografias (Armínio Kaiser, o operator, na conceituação de Roland Barthes) com o material produzido, não só no momento da produção como, décadas depois, no da sua patrimonialização . Ao mesmo tempo, são apresentadas e analisadas as narrativas geradas por trabalhadores e ex-trabalhadores do café no contato com registros fotográficos de Kaiser (as narrativas do spectator). Finalmente, a busca pela construção de uma narrativa histórica que contemple as múltiplas apropriações da imagem operadas desde o fotógrafo até sua contemplação por um observador - imprime a necessidade de se pensar a própria presença da fotografia e da oralidade no texto histórico, bem como o modo de se operar as traduções de suporte e linguagem numa perspectiva da História do Tempo Presente
