Sammanbrott igen? : A qualitative study of case workers ́ experiences with foster family breakdowns in the field of child welfare

Olsson, Marielle January 2022 (has links)
The studys purpose was to investigate social workers and foster care consultants' experiences of breakdowns in foster homes. A qualitative approach was used and five semi-structured interviews were conducted. The theory used was Erving Goffman's Dramaturgy and Anders Broberg's interpretation of John Bowlby's attachment theory. Data was analyzed thematically where three different themes emerged. The study shows that social workers and consultants need good cooperation, clear assignment and a familial relationship with foster homes in order for foster homes to be able to continue even when it is difficult. Social workers and foster care consultants need to be responsive, curious and accessible to avoid breakdown. Research shows that breakdowns are often initiated by foster families and are stated to be due to the child's behavior and lack of understanding of the child and its experiences. This is partly consistent with the respondents' experience of the reasons behind breakdowns.

Brevard Childs : the logic of scripture's textual authority

Driver, Daniel R. January 2009 (has links)
Brevard Childs argues for the inner logic of scripture’s textual authority as an historical reality that gives rise to the material condition by which the church apprehends and experiences God in Christ. The church’s use of (or by) scripture thus has a larger interiority: the shaped canon of scripture, Old and New Testaments, is a rule of faith which accrues authority in the church, through the vehicle of the sensus literalis. Childs’ work has been misplaced, however. Part one locates it internationally, attending to the way it has been read in English and German and finding that it has enjoyed a more patient reception in Europe than in Britain or North America. To illustrate, Childs’ definition of biblical theology is contrasted with that of James Barr. Their differences over gesamtbiblische theology involve opposite turns toward and away from Barthian dogma in biblical inquiry. Part two examines Childs on biblical reference, introducing why intertextuality is not midrashic but deictic—pointing to the res. This coincides with an understanding of the formation of biblical literature. Childs’ argument for canonical shaping is juxtaposed with Hermann Gunkel on tradition history, showing “final form” to be a deliberate inversion of form critical principles. Childs’ interest in the Bible as religious literature is then set alongside his studious confrontation of Judaism, with implications for inter-religious dialogue. Barr and Childs are compared again in part three, which frames their respective senses of indirect and direct biblical reference in terms of allegory. Both see allegory at work in the modern world under certain rules (either biblical criticism or the regula fidei). Their rules affect their articulations of trinitarian dogma. Finally, Psalm102 highlights divergences between modern and pre-modern interpreters. If scripture comprehends the present immediately, some postures of the church toward the synagogue may be excluded.

Původní zdroje inspirace v českém umění 1980-2015 / Primal sources of inspiration in czech art 1980-2015

Steigerwaldová, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
Main focus of this work is to compare and map the evolution of primal sources of inspiration in Czech art in the years 1980-2015. It brings the overview of the authors, who adopted the elements of visual reality, and describes the ways how they used it in their works. Highlighted are the authors whose works are influenced by some of the following topics: commerce and kitch, pornography, comic books, graffiti and street art, folklore, culture of natural nation and childs drawings. Reasons and motivation of the authors for using these extraordinary ways of expression are also clarified. The main part of the work is completed by a context of the exhibitions which took place in the defined time period and follow the topic. It is possible to imagine the evolution and the meaning of primal sources of inspiration in the context of post modern art, according to the basis of the discovered findings.

Factores asociados a la falta de búsqueda de atención en establecimientos de salud por síntomas de infección respiratoria aguda en menores de 5 años, a partir de la Encuesta Nacional Demográfica y de Salud Familiar (ENDES) 2019 en el Perú / Risk factors associated to the lack of seeking care in health facilities in children under 5 years of age with acute respiratory infection symptoms according to the 2019 Perú Demographic and Health Survey (ENDES 2019)

Reyes Cuestas, Ricardo Manuel, Saavedra Custodio, Dante Josué Esduardo 13 November 2020 (has links)
Introduction: Among the factors that are associated with morbidity and mortality from respiratory diseases in children, one of the main problems is the lack of care seeking by the health system. However, there is little information on the factors associated with it. Objective: To determine the association between sociodemographic characteristics and the lack of seeking care in health facilities in children under 5 years of age with acute respiratory infection symptoms according to the 2019 Perú Demographic and Health Survey (ENDES 2019). Material and methods: Observational, cross-sectional analytical study, based on the secondary analysis of ENDES 2019, which will include caregivers of patients under 5 years of age with acute respiratory infection symptoms who have responded to the survey. Results: 34.35% did not seek care in health facilities. The presence of medications in the home (RP=1.64, IC 95%: 1.37-1.97)and the age of the minor (RP=1.26, IC 95%: 1.17-1.35). On the other hand, be part of the richest quintile (RP=0.26, IC95%: 0.11- 0.55) and the age of the caregiver (RP= 0.99; IC95%: 0.98 - 1.00) had a negative association with the lack of care in health facilities. Conclusions: The lack of seeking care in health facilities is frequent in the Peruvian population. Lower wealth persists as a barrier to seek care in health facilities. Self-medication could explain the availability of medication at home as a risk factor for not going to health facilities. / Tesis

Das Ereignis des Verstehens

Jastrzembski, Volker 28 January 2008 (has links)
The starting point chosen in this work is the hermeneutic consensus achieved in the Jewish-Christian dialogue. Reflecting upon some of the fundamental aspects of theology, the study develops more in-depth hermeneutic criteria based on the insight that the Bible of Israel is the shared common heritage that both establishes a link between Jews and Christians and is the point of origin of two religious traditions that have interpreted the heritage in different ways. It primarily deals with the conceptions held by Brevard S. Childs, Rolf Rendtorff and Erich Zenger who cover paradigmatic positions, ranging from a focus on the canon and on christology to a common Jewish-Christian reading and to a hermeneutic approach of “canonical dialogism”. The study yields the following results: Firstly, building on considerations embraced by the theory of reception, Old Testament hermeneutics within the Jewish-Christian dialogue have to be defined as a specifically Christian reading that, at the same time, continues to depend on the dialogue with the equal-ranking Jewish reading. Secondly, this hermeneutic approach has to be designed as a theological interpretation that relates to the canon of the Old and New Testament. This involves taking into account the diversity of the biblical material by using Zenger’s concept of canonical dialogism as a starting point. Thirdly, as is makes a contribution to “post-Auschwitz theology”, this reading will not be able to adopt a neutral standpoint. Fourthly, it will expand upon the christological interpretation and, in doing so, it will go by Childs’ concept of the christological relation being an extension conceived in pneumatological terms. Fifthly, by adopting Derrida’s deconstruction and his notion of the “event” as a messianic irruption, this hermeneutic approach can only conceive the act of understanding as an event where God is revealed, an event to be described in pneumatological terms that can not be warranted by any methodological effort.

The Evolving Role of the Solo Euphonium in Orchestral Music: An Analysis of Lorin Maazel's "Music for Flute and Orchestra with Tenor Tuba Obbligato" and Karl Jenkins' "Cantata Memoria"

Kittaweepitak, Boonyarit 08 1900 (has links)
The euphonium has been an integral part of wind bands and brass bands for more than a century. During this time the instrument has grown in stature in both types of band, as an ensemble member and a solo instrument. Until recently, however, the instrument has been underrepresented in orchestral literature, although a growing number of composers are beginning to appreciate the characteristics of the instrument. The purpose of this research is to explore the perceived rise of the euphonium in an orchestral environment through analyzing the significance of the role it plays within Lorin Maazel's Music for Flute with Tenor Tuba Obbligato (1995) and Karl Jenkins' Cantata Memoria (2005); specifically, how the euphonium contributes to the orchestral scores in relation to its capabilities as an instrumental voice.
