Anselmo, Márcia Almeida January 2009 (has links)
The work is presented in the context of studies of communication and culture. It is considered that the social relationships established as a result of globalization, place the subject in situations that may arise in processes of social inequality. Considering the effects of the socioeconomic context causes the children's condition, question whether the access of children and adolescents to the production of the Boquinha, the newspaper insert Boca de Rua, may represent a proposal for emancipatory action. Accordingly, it is observed that features emerging from the production and transmission, construction and reception of symbolic forms, examining the identity of the group. To do so, uses the theoretical framework and methodological Depht Hermeneutics, proposed by Thompson (2002), to analyze the communication process of the newspaper and find the representation developed by children and adolescents. It appears that journalistic practice, produced in the cultural sphere, allows producers create stories, from the viewpoint of the communication community, serving as a tool for the construction of emancipatory action and the formation of youth identities citizens.

Heidegger's theft of faith : a campaign to suspend radical theology

Weidler, Markus Mikula 05 May 2015 (has links)
In this inquiry I pursue two tasks. First, I locate the roots of Heidegger's philosophical project historically within a specific theological discourse bent on redefining the relation between religion and politics. Heidegger's main, if covert, intent was to combat the egalitarian, pluralistic impulses carried by a tradition of critical Christology, which leads from F.W.J. Schelling's (1775-1854) Philosophy of Revelation to the work of the radical theologian-philosopher Paul Tillich (1886-1965). These egalitarian impulses spring from a broadened understanding of religious community as a material communication community unified through the use of shared symbols into a community of understanding, knowledge, and interests. The theoretical expansion and deepening of such a communication model, I detect in the writings of the renegade Neogrammarian, Hermann Paul, here considered in light of the "neo-Idealist" initiative of one of Paul's most prominent critics, the Romanist Karl Vossler. Prior to the advanced theological exposition of symbolically mediated communication, in works such as Tillich's book Dynamics of Faith (2001; Engl. orig.1957), the Neogrammarian movement in language studies, I argue, holds the key to accessing the cloaked Christological subtext of Heidegger's thought. Second, after thus locating Heidegger's philosophical agenda within its intellectual-historical context, I expose how Heidegger manipulates philosophical rhetoric to achieve the suspension of Schelling's theological legacy. My analysis of Heidegger's rhetorical behavior is focused on his Letter on Humanism (written 1946, published 1949), a text very overt in both its philosophical biases and its politics. The Humanismusbrief comes the closest to revealing Heidegger's own self-positioning within his generation. The work's conclusion provides a brief look ahead, or Ausblick, to indicate the main features of how these findings about the Letter can be brought to bear on Heidegger's masterpiece fragment, Being and Time. Through this approach, Heidegger's inherently political philosophy gains a much clearer profile in the context of its formative phase in the waning days of the Weimar Republic and opens a new perspective on later attempts by its author to "re-apply" his philosophical program to the cultural situation of postwar Germany, as well as to the ethical-epistemological problems remaining after twelve years of German isolationism. / text

Within the main objectives, we intended to track the researches; the authors; their distribution within time and space; identify the institutions and advisors which promote the subarea; define the theoretical methodological approaches; and point referential authors/concepts. By means of exploratory research and the application of four filters, we got to a final sample of 102 researches, 87 dissertations and 15 theses, subjected to quantitative analysis, by means of Content Analysis towards the pre-established parts (Abstract, Key Words, Introduction, Summary, Closing Remarks and Methodological Chapter, when existing), and a qualitative analysis of the full content of the 15 theses. The method guiding this research is the historical dialectic with a view to finding an analysis of a context and attentive to the contradictions and changes that the object is involved; and the bibliographic research which supports it is anchored in authors, such as, Jorge González, Cicilia Peruzzo, Regina Festa, Pedro Gilberto Gomes, Gilberto Giménez and Augusto Triviños. The research was held with software NVivo support. Quantitative results indicated: a) predominance of community communication research (68%); b) prevalence of empiric studies (79%); c) the variety of denominations attributed to the experiences by the researchers; d) the constant struggle of the popular classes to democratize communication and to achieve social rights; e) the relevance and influence of the organic intellectuals on the studied experiences; f) methodological problems; g) UMESP, USP and UFRJ as the lead producers on this sub-area, and; h) Cicilia Peruzzo and Raquel Paiva as the supervisors who mostly advise theses on the theme. As for the qualitative analysis, there were some criteria that permeate the PACC: 1) the definition of subaltern classes; 2) the importance of the communities’ active participation in the communication processes and; 3) forms, contents and objectives that complement each other and give identity to the experiences / Mapeamento das dissertações e teses referentes à subárea da comunicação popular, alternativa e comunitária (CPAC) desenvolvidas nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação stricto sensu no Brasil, de 1972 a 2012.

"LUCHAR PARA TRANSMITIR, TRANSMITIR PARA TRANSFORMAR" LE PRATICHE POLITICO-COMUNICATIVE DEI MEDIA ALTERNATIVI IN ARGENTINA: IL CASO DELLA RED NACIONAL DE MEDIOS ALTERNATIVOS / Luchar para transmitir, transmitir para transformar Political-communicative practices of alternative media in Argentina. The Red Nacional de Medios Alternativos case study

DE GUIO, SUSANNA 24 September 2018 (has links)
The research project investigates the relationship between communicative action and political agency, which is a constitutive characteristic of alternative media practices. The analysis focuses on an empirical case of study, the argentinian Red Nacional de Medios Alternativos (RNMA). The study also analyzes possibilities and limits linked to the RNMA reticular form of internal collective organization. By adopting a socio-historical approach (Costa & Mozejko, 2009), RNMA social practices are analyzed looking at the material conditions in which they are produced and to the agents' ability-to-act, considering the mutual influence between the actions of the social actors and the limits imposed by the social structure within which their choices are placed. The research then analyzes the RNMA political-communicative practices; characterizes the social subject who act these practices and the context of their production; the intertwining of these three orders of problems defines the position of power occupied by the RNMA in relation to the other social actors involved in the political and symbolic struggle for the control of the rules of representation of social reality
