This qualitative thesis discusses the process of preservation of the community building Källör. In a case study the political processes around the issue of the preservation of the society building is examined on the basis of the concerned laws (PBL & KML), where the protection of cultural-historical buildings is treated in relation to the case of Källör. The voluntary commitment and its significance for the building, is examined through the community center association of Källörs (bygdegårdsförening societetshuset Källörs) work for the building's preservation and goal to run it as a community center (bygdegård). Finally, it is investigated whether and how the place has been important for the involvment of the association. Nine interviews were conducted for the study, six with members of the association and three with professional and responsible persons in the case. Materials in the form of laws, decisions, investigations, brochures and municipal plan overviews were also used for the study. The material was analyzed through the study's theoretical framework; the arm’s length principle (armlängdsprincipen), authority, authenticity, Sense of Place and Genius Loci. The case study shows that the issue of preserving the local cultural heritage is a complex and dynamic process. Those involved can interpret the laws and the cultural-historical value in different ways and the building is not always judged to be objective based on its cultural-historical value. The work of the association has made an impression in the political process and the place has also proven to be important for the associations commitment. The question of the preservation of the local cultural heritage is complex in where laws and collaborations have the potential to be developed, in order to ensure that the local cultural heritage is assessed according to it’s cultural-historical value and thus does not risk being lost. This is a two year master’s thesis in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies.

En la provincia de Huaura, uno de los principales factores de deserción estudiantil, es la preferencia por los trabajos agrícolas y la falta de una metodología educativa que responda a los intereses de los locales. Por ello, se planteó como proyecto de tesis, un complejo de carácter educativo-comunitario orientado a desarrollar el programa arquitectónico en relación a la pedagogía por Alternancia; la cual, reconoce la importancia de una formación técnica y básica en el medio rural. A partir de este principio, la escuela logra erigir espacios para el aprendizaje que van más allá de permanecer en las aulas y establece la distribución de estos, basado en los procesos productivos de una agroindustria. Finalmente, la propuesta arquitectónica desarrolla la apertura de los espacios físicos para permitir los nexos entre el campo y el espacio público, semi-público y privado; lo cual, incentiva la formación teórico-práctico de manera experimental y pone en valor las actividades agrícolas-pecuarias. / In the province of Huaura, one of the main factors of student desertion is the preference for agricultural work and the lack of an educational methodology that responds to the interests of the locals. For this reason, as a thesis project, a community-educational complex in the district of Santa María was proposed; which was oriented to develop the architectural program in relation to Alternation pedagogy; which recognizes, in rural areas, the importance of technical and basic training. In this way, it was possible to develop in the architectural proposal the nexus for the connection of the field with the public, semi-public and private space; which encourages theoretical and practical training in an experimental form and places value on agricultural-livestock activities. / Tesis

The diploma thesis was prepared as an architectural study. The theme of diploma thesis is the design of new synagogue with Jewish community center in Olomouc. The part of the work is the creation of Jewish community center, synagogue, museum of Jewish culture and kosher restaurant. The plot is on the site of a synagogue that was burned by the Nazis in 1939.

The subject of the diploma thesis is design of an architectural study of the New synagogue in Trutnov. The first synagogue on this location was destroyed in 1938. Only the foundation system of the first synagogue have been preserved. This architectural study creates space for the recovery of the Jewish community in Trutnov. The Jewish community needs space for daily and spiritual life. The buliding program is therefore divided into two main objects. The synagogue with a prayer room and a mikveh is located on same place as the first synagogue. The preserved foundation system of the first synagogue creates a barrier from the sloping terrain for the new synagogue. This creates a symbiosis of the original and the new. The community center contains spaces for education, administration, catering and celebrations. The location of the community center respects the original villas, which are located close.

The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a new synagogue in Brno according to the assignment. The goal of the thesis was to design the architectural proposal of the synagogue as well as of the new centre for the Jewish community and Jewish museum. The Jewish community in Brno is a closed community. The aim was to create a place for members of the Jewish community which would be separated from the public space. The proposal is divided into two parts, the museum with public space and the buildings of the Jewish community. The Jewish community area consists of the kosher restaurant, offices, library, community hall, mikveh ritual bath, synagogue and garden. The suggested structural organization enabled to separate public space of Jewish museum from the internal private area for the Jewish community while keeping the overall integrity of the venue.

Kohoutovíce is my interpretation of urban district moving on the edge of village and cold war urban development. Duality who are giving into context grew old buildings and cold war development as a place with exception identity. Identity based on mutual disharmony forming a function unit when one part complements other. Action causes a reaction. Culture Social center with the Town Hall as the main bearer of the idea of mutual penetration between coexistence looking for its history and future. Instead of overlap, which aims to reflect both the present and future needs and significantly cities and boroughs, necessary for quality of living and use. The project implements existing hall located on the border of the original buildings, but also in direct contact with another typical feature of the whole territory, and panel buildings. Duality, otherness, diversity as incompatible interaction forming a single center of gravity in one place. Persona grata.
