Fully-differential current-mode CMOS circuits and applications

With increasing interest in current-mode analogue processing due to its high performance properties such as speed, bandwidth and accuracy compared to voltage-mode processing, new current-mode alternatives to various conventional circuit designs are appearing. In this report, a novel circuit design to construct a fully-differential current-mode operational amplifier ( OP-AMP ) is suggested. A standard CMOS process and a 5 volt power supply are utilized. Simulation results using SPICE are presented. For the current-amplifier, a highly linear behavior ( THD 0.02% ) and an excellent frequency response ( 10 MHz ) were observed. Using this new differential OP-AMP topology, fully-differential switched-current delay cell and an integrator circuit were also developed successfully. / Graduation date: 1991

This thesis describes the analysis and comparison of Folded Source-Coupled Logic (FSCL) with standard static CMOS, cascode voltage-switch logic and differential split-level logic gates. The advantages of FSCL are low switching noise and high operating speed. The effect of voltage and device scaling on these topologies is evaluated in terms of average delay, power dissipation at maximum frequency, power-delay-product and current spike noise. Several two-summand adders are designed and simulated using MOSIS 1-μm CMOS process parameters and evaluations are performed in terms of area, delay, noise and power dissipation. / Graduation date: 1994

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva de psykosociala och existentiella behov som kan uppstå hos kvinnor med bröstcancer samt i hur stor utsträckning bröstcancerpatienter upplever att dessa behov tillgodoses i vården. Dessutom var syftet att få en uppfattning om betydelsen av komplementär och alternativ medicin för bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnor. De vetenskapliga artiklar (n=25) som ingick i studien söktes datoriserat samt manuellt och en kvalitetsgranskning gjordes av litteraturen utifrån olika bedömningsformulär. Resultaten visar att de behov som uppstod hos kvinnorna med bröstcancer var behov av stöd, behov av information samt behov av kontinuitet i sjukvården. Majoriteten av kvinnorna upplevde att det psykosociala och existentiella stödet i sjukvården samt den information de fick hade stora brister. Detta ansågs i stor utsträckning bero på en bristfällig kontinuitet. De komplementär- och alternativmedicinska behandlingarna visade sig vara mycket betydelsefulla då de i stor utsträckning tillgodosåg de psykosociala och existentiella behoven hos bröstcancerpatienterna. Behandlingarna minskade psykiska symtom som oro, ångest och depression avsevärt hos kvinnorna samt hjälpte dem att hantera och bearbeta känslor förknippade med cancerdiagnosen och nå ett accepterande av sin sjukdom. Kontinuiteten upplevdes dock ibland som bristfällig även inom den komplementär- och alternativmedicinska vården.

China changed its communistic economy policy to the open one during these 20 years. China¡¦s cheap labor force, plentiful natural resources and vast market have attracted lots of MNC to settle subsidiaries/manufacturing plants there. But the unique political and economical system of China and the special culture of Guan-Xi had made many MNC fail in the entrance of China market. Therefore, many MNC rely on the knowledge and competence of Taiwan subsidiaries. This research deals with the extent to which factors would affect the interactions, especially the complementary relationship, between Taiwan and China subsidiaries. Regarding the characteristics of industry in which MNC are, the following factors increase the extent of complementary relationship between Taiwan and China subsidiaries: 1.The higher speed of technology replacing in the industry; 2.The more support by China government; 3. Their affiliated industries are highly globalized. Regarding the business models of MNC, the more consistency of which their customers¡¦ need have, the higher degree of complementary relationship between Taiwan and China subsidiaries are. Regarding specific of parent companies and subsidiaries, the following factors increase the extent of complementary relationship between Taiwan and China subsidiaries: 1.Subsidiaries rely more on HQ to get core resourses; 2.The more activities which Taiwan and China subsidiaries have in common.

An OFDM System Based on Complementary Code CDMA and its Performance Analysis

In this thesis, the feasibility of complete complementary code based OFDM CDMA system is studied. The complete complementary code is composed of several sets of auto-complementary codes, any two of which are cross-complementary codes. The perfect correlation between code sets is the distinguishing feature of complete complementary code. In this thesis, we designed a new OFDM CDMA system architecture according the property of complete complementary code. The most obvious characteristic is that the bit stream in the new system is no longer aligned one bit after another in time. Instead, a new bit will start only after one chip delay relative to the previous bit, which is spread by an element code of complete complementary code. The proposed new CDMA architecture can offer an MAI-free operation in both down-link (synchronous channel) and up-link (asynchronous channel) transmission under the AWGN channel, because of the use of the CC-codes. However, due to the special spreading modulator-offset stacking modulator (OSM), we¡¦ll encounter a ¡§ multi-level ¡¨ problem . If we can¡¦t solve this problem , the linear power amplifier will not be able to support the whole system . Hence , we try to clip the multilevel into a smaller magnitude . And also , we try some other mapping methods to solve the multilevel problem .

Use of Parallel Computing Techniques to Search for Perfectly Orthogonal Complementary Codes

Because using the perfect orthogonal code in CDMA system means elimination of multi-path interference and multiple access interference, we will discuss this aspect in this thesis. At first, we address a algorithm to how to search a flock of perfect orthogonal code, which consisting of many codes have a characteristic of perfect auto-correlation and perfect cross-correlation to each other. Following, we will compare perfect orthogonal code we find with the present complementary codes include complete complementary code (CCC), super complementary code (SCC), and two-dimensional orthogonal variable spreading code (2D-OVSF code). Considering that the run time of searching perfect orthogonal code is long in case of high processing gain (PG), we construct a PC cluster based Linux O.S or Windows O.S for the operation of parallel program to faster our production of perfect orthogonal code.

First, we proved that the - Columnwise Complementary codes is better than - Columnwise Complementary code in time selective channel by explaining the probability of happening MAI elimination in frequency domain and proposing a method to use - Columnwise Complementary codes in one cell. Furthermore, we proposed the method to increase the capability of resisting of frequency selective fading channel without decreasing the capability of resisting of time selective fading channel. Finally, we showed some simulation results about receiver velocity and MAI elimination in frequency domain.
