This diploma thesis deals with a design and manufacture of an active print head used for 3D printing of concrete mixtures. The aim is to ensure functional parameters of the print head at a minimal mass. Extrusion of the material from the print head is ensured by a screw conveyor, shaping of the material is carry out by a rotatably mounted nozzle provided with trowels. The dimensioning of the main elements of the print head is based on the parameters measured during tests with the older version of the print head and on the FEM analysis. The print head was manufactured and is able to extrude concrete mixture with an admixture of aggregate (fraction 4–8 mm) at a rate of 0,5–2 m3•h-1. The weight of the print head is 16.4 kg, which is 30 percent less than an older print head weighed. The manufactured print head was tested during the printing of a real object and met all the required parameters. The print head is ready for implementation in a machine providing large-scale printing of parts in the construction industry.

[pt] O principal objetivo desta dissertação consistiu em investigar os papéis das
ações de redesenho do trabalho e da segurança psicológica na prevenção de
sintomas do burnout. Para tanto, foram conduzidos dois estudos. O primeiro estudo
consistiu em uma revisão teórica das relações entre redesenho do trabalho,
segurança psicológica e burnout, considerando o impacto da interação entre
profissionais de diferentes gerações no ambiente de trabalho. Já o segundo estudo,
consistiu na proposição de um modelo no qual as ações de redesenho do trabalho
exercem um papel de mediação na relação entre segurança psicológica e sintomas
do burnout. Uma análise quantitativa foi conduzida, baseada na aplicação de
escalas de avaliação de segurança psicológica, ações de redesenho do trabalho e
sintomas do burnout e a partir de questionários respondidos por uma amostra de
179 trabalhadores dos setores químico, petroquímico e de óleo e gás. Através dos
resultados obtidos, foi proposto um modelo no qual as ações de reformulação
cognitiva desempenharam um papel de mediação parcial na relação entre segurança
psicológica e os sintomas primários do burnout. Tais resultados reforçam a
importância do desenvolvimento de ações direcionadas à capacitação de equipes e
lideranças nos temas segurança psicológica e identificação de oportunidades de
redesenho do trabalho. / [en] The main objective of this dissertation was to investigate the roles of job
crafting actions and psychological safety in preventing burnout symptoms. For this,
two studies were conducted. The first study consisted of a theoretical review of the
relationships between job crafting, psychological safety and burnout, considering
the impact of interaction between professionals from different generations in the
work environment. The second study consisted of proposing a model in which job
crafting actions play a mediating role in the relationship between psychological
safety and burnout symptoms. A quantitative study was carried out, based on the
application of assessment scales of psychological safety, job crafting actions and
burnout symptoms and from questionnaires answered by a sample of 179 workers
in the chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas sectors. Through the obtained
results, a model was proposed in which the cognitive crafting actions played a
partial mediation role in the relationship between psychological safety and the
primary symptoms of burnout. Such results reinforce the importance of developing
actions aimed at training teams and leaders in psychological safety issues and
identifying opportunities for job crafting.

幼兒園教師協力工作塑造之研究 / A Study of Collaborative Job Crafting of Preschool Teachers陳易君, Chen, Yi Chun Unknown Date (has links)
自《幼稚教育法》推動以來,我國幼兒園開始採用每班安置教師二人,由兩位教師共同經營一個班級的做法。過去不少研究發現,合班關係有其效能及其必要性。因此,合班的教師如何建立有效的合班關係,並從中得益自我實踐成為重要的研究課題。
因為幼兒園工作環境充滿變化性、不確定性與壓力,加上教師們皆具有專業的背景以及在工作執行上擁有許多的彈性與自主權,學者們認為幼兒園合班關係,可以採用協力工作塑造的概念,進一步昇華幼兒園合班關係。Leana,Appelbaum,& Shevchuk (2009)就提出,幼兒園教師的協力工作塑造,有助於確保幼教現場的教學品質,除了對生手教師來說,有助於提升其工作成效,對熟手教師來說,也能夠協助提升其工作附加價值。
因此,本研究以質性研究方法,立意取樣三對獲得「教學卓越獎」的合班教師搭檔進行半結構式訪談,了解幼兒教師在合班關係中協力工作塑造的樣貌,包含幼兒園面臨問題時的解決與創新、工作職責與人際溝通之間的協調,以及自我認同等實務及歷程;待回收研究相關資料後,運用質化資料分析軟體MAXQDA進行訪談資料的分析,並進行編碼、整理與分析,以了解並探究本研究之待答問題。最後,透由訪談內容以質性研究方式歸納剖析其協力工作塑造之歷程與實務內涵。
研究結果發現,在協力工作塑造的歷程,可以分為四階段,分別為第一階段關係塑造、第二階段團隊建立、第三階段職責塑造與創新階段、第四階段為認同塑造。各個階段皆有其關鍵要件,在關係塑造的關鍵有四(含歷程性),為相互尊重、了解、欣賞、互信與學習;團隊建立階段為從個人至協力合作;職責塑造與創新階段為一動態歷程,視幼兒、雙方與班級學習情況而萌發;認同塑造的關鍵為自我認同的再強化、從自我認同到團隊認同。進而討論,協力工作塑造之概念於組織、團隊及個人之關係。

We'll meet again : music in dementia careHara, Mariko January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this study was to explore how musicking (a term denoting any music related activity, see Small 1998, p. 9) could be used locally to support people with dementia and their caregivers in a sustainable manner. The data for the study came primarily from a group known as “Song Birds”, a community-based volunteer music group working with people with dementia and their caregivers in the south of England. Participant observation was combined with interviews and an extensive ethnographic study of the music and care world surrounding the group. The data was explored using a grounded theory approach investigating three time phases, “preparation for the events”, “during the events” and “in-between and after the events”. The main findings related to the lay crafting of the events and the emergence of pathways between “music and care nodes” in a local, social network. The preparatory physical and social crafting of Song Birds events created a transitional time and place that guided the participants from everyday life into their collective musicking. This crafting was essential to the success of the musicking and produced inclusive activities that considered the different capabilities of all participants. As a result of these carefully crafted events, dementia identities were temporarily displaced and relationships were transformed. The musical repertoire was an important resource in this crafting and evolved according to the participants’ changing situations. The positive musical benefits and affordances (see DeNora 2000) from such weekly events could be transferred into participants’ everyday lives through multiple music and care groups and the pathways that connected those groups which constituted a “music and care world”. Such musically fostered networks helped generate a virtuous cycle that maintained the music group as a sustainable activity. As dementia care was a long-term activity, such sustainability was important to the on-going community support for people affected by dementia. Community musicking thus allowed people affected by dementia, their relatives and friends to remain together.

Ce mémoire fait état de ma démarche de compositeur à l'intérieur d'un cadre plus large qui inclue une démarche de direction. Croyant que ces disciplines vont de pair, j'ai consacré ma maîtrise à composer du matériel pour orchestre et pour chœur, deux ensembles qui exigent la présence d'un chef. Je pouvais ainsi approfondir ma connaissance de ces « instruments » à l'intérieur du cadre rigoureux offert par la Faculté de Musique de l'Université de Montréal. Parallèlement, mes activités de chef ont aussi eu une influence sur ma compréhension de ces ensembles et donc sur mon écriture. Ce travail récapitule donc le matériel que j'ai écrit pour ces ensembles, prenant soin de souligner à la fois où mon expérience d'écriture grandie, et où mon expérience de chef impacte mes choix de composition. / This work is about the composition part of a larger ambition that also includes conducting. Believing that those two disciplines are closely related, I took most of my time as a master's student composing for orchestra and for choir, two ensembles that require a conductor. This way I could deepen my understanding of those "instruments" with the help of rigorous teachers at Université de Montréal's music faculty. At the same time, my conducting activities also had an influence on my understanding of those ensembles therefore on my composition. This work goes through the material I wrote for those ensembles, pinpointing where I felt my experience as a composer was growing, and where my experience as a conductor influenced my composition choices.

regulations, stakeholder demands, environmental policies and much more. In
order to not only survive but thrive, they need to lead and motivate a diversified
group of employees with different economic, cultural, and socio-political
values. Today’s leaders need to develop effective managerial strategies, learn
to inspire those both inside and outside of the organisation, and guide change.
This study aimed to provide insight into change-oriented leadership and
examine its effect on psychological capital (PsyCap) and psychological
empowerment as antecedents of work engagement and change-oriented
organisational citizenship behaviour (changed-oriented OCB).
For purposes of this study, a quantitative research design was employed using
both paper and pencil and electronic questionnaires. Data was gathered by
using a probability sample of employees within a manufacturing organisation
in South Africa (N = 736). The measurement instruments were revalidated for
the South African sample through both confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and
partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). All the
measuring instruments retained its original factor structures and reported
acceptable reliabilities of change-oriented leadership (α= .908), PsyCap (α=
.848), psychological empowerment (α= .860), work engagement (α= .883) and
changed-oriented OCB (α= .897).

Relationships Between Job Design, Job Crafting, Idiosyncratic Deals, and Psychological EmpowermentMiller, Marsha 01 January 2015 (has links)
Although much is known about employee empowerment and work designs, numerous companies and management practitioners struggle to implement empowerment initiatives effectively because it is not known which approach best facilitates individual levels of psychological empowerment. Traditional job design theory focuses on the role of managers and portrays employees as passive grantees of empowerment. Employees may influence their own empowerment by taking an active role in work design. The primary purpose of this correlational study was to examine whether job crafting or idiosyncratic deals are more or less empowering than job design and how work locus of control influences these relationships. It was hypothesized that job crafting would be the strongest correlate with psychological empowerment. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was designed with measures adapted from existing instruments. A sample of 150 adults, drawn from various industries in the United States, completed a voluntary, online survey. Data analysis, which used Pearson correlations, revealed that job crafting had a stronger relationship with psychological empowerment than did idiosyncratic deals and management-driven job design for employees with high internal work locus of control. Findings from this study may help organizational leaders understand how employees with high internal tendencies are psychologically empowered when actively engaged in designing their own work. Employees may then feel empowered to advance the company's social agenda and make personalized contributions to the greater society, essentially becoming goodwill ambassadors for the organization.

Crafted 'children' : an ethnography of making and collecting dolls in Southwest AngolaPonte, Maria Ines January 2015 (has links)
Grounded in multi-sited fieldwork within an agro-pastoralist highland village in Southwest Angola and in ethnology museums in Europe, Angola and Namibia, my research interweaves an ethnographic and a historical approach to better understand the meanings and social relationships generated by what I call “elusive dolls”: dolls that are difficult to find and slippery when encountered. The study explores postcolonial significances of African dolls, made by agro-pastoralist people, which have been sparsely collected for display in museums since colonial times. Using multiple field methods such as participant observation, archival research, photo-elicitation, and filmmaking, I trace the social relationships involved in the making of dolls in Southwest Angola and in the housing of the same kind of dolls in ethnology museums, paying particular attention to the material and social networks established around the practices of making and collecting them. Following the logic of local languages (olunyaneka, oshikwanyama), I use the notion of “crafted ‘children’” to define handcrafted dolls made of different materials, and address the meanings these dolls embody for makers, collectors and museum curators. I take a historical perspective to examine the dimensions of storage, research and display and address contrasting curatorial approaches to dolls in museums. While most curators have tended to focus on dolls and their supposed functions, a few have engaged with dolls in relation to other domains of the lifeworlds of rural makers and their skilled practices. Examining the limits of historical ethnographic research about local doll-usage, I build upon these alternative approaches by curators and ethnographically explore the relational dimensions of these dolls in two worlds in which they have material and social lives: Southwest Angola and ethnology museums. Firstly, I examine the regional diversity of these dolls, as crafted “children”, in the rural context through a situated understanding of ethnic and ecological diversity and rural-urban relations. Secondly, I explore the twofold notion of labour – that is, the labour in crafting and the labour in making a living - in the regional domestic economy of agro-pastoralist populations, showing how a resilient rural lifestyle, local and urban resources, seasonal demands, and personal skills linked to age and sociality generate and shape the practices of doll-making. Finally, I examine drawing and photography in published and unpublished material about dolls and show how the visual connects the worlds of curators, field-collectors, makers and ethnographers. A large part of the literature on ethnology museum collections tends to focus on “repatriation”, discussing relations between museums and “source communities”. By contrast, an analytical framework connecting doll-making and collecting, the regional conditions of a crafting practice and its local immersion in rural everyday life, appears only marginally in the literature - this is where my research makes a significant contribution. My thesis contributes to critical museology research, Africanist studies, and visual anthropology and engages with debates on materiality and skill. The film that accompanies the thesis, Making a Living in the Dry Season, is grounded in a long-term stay in a village, and examines the twofold notion of labour mentioned above through the practice of doll-making. I recommend first reading the thesis up until Chapter three, followed by watching the film, and then turning to the remaining chapters.
