The concentration on healthcare information technology has never been determined than it is today. This awareness arises from the efforts to accomplish the extreme utilization of Electronic Health Record (EHR). Due to the greater mobility of the population, EHR will be constructed and continuously updated from the contribution of one or many EPRs that are created and stored at different healthcare locations such as acute Hospitals, community services, Mental Health and Social Services. The challenge is to provide healthcare professionals, remotely among heterogeneous interoperable systems, with a complete view of the selective relevant and vital EPRs fragments of each patient during their care. Obtaining extensive EPRs at the point of delivery, together with ability to search for and view vital, valuable, accurate and relevant EPRs fragments can be still challenging. It is needed to reduce redundancy, enhance the quality of medical decision making, decrease the time needed to navigate through very high number of EPRs, which consequently promote the workflow and ease the extra work needed by clinicians. These demands was evaluated through introducing a system model named SVSEPRS (Searching and Viewing Segments of Electronic Patient Records Service) to enable healthcare providers supply high quality and more efficient services, redundant clinical diagnostic tests. Also inappropriate medical decision making process should be avoided via allowing all patients‟ previous clinical tests and healthcare information to be shared between various healthcare organizations. Multidimensional data model, which lie at the core of On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems can handle the duplication of healthcare services. This is done by allowing quick search and access to vital and relevant fragments from scattered EPRs to view more comprehensive picture and promote advances in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. SVSEPRS is a web based system model that helps participant to search for and view virtual EPR segments, using an endowed and well structured Centralised Multidimensional Search Mapping (CMDSM). This defines different quantitative values (measures), and descriptive categories (dimensions) allows clinicians to slice and dice or drill down to more detailed levels or roll up to higher levels to meet clinicians required fragment.

<p>När en kassaflödesvärdering genomförs prognostiseras företagets värde genom att summera framtida kassaflöden och diskontera dem med företagets kapitalkostnad. På grund av att prognostiserade kassaflöden är uppskattningar inför framtiden karaktäriseras en värdering alltid av hög osäkerhet. Till underlag för prognoserna används en omfattande mängd information. För att ett tillförlitligt värde ska kunna beräknas är det viktigt att relevant och pålitlig information samlas in och hanteras på ett effektivt sätt. I dagsläget är det problematiskt att hantera omfattande mängder information och ett tillräckligt datorstöd saknas. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att konstruera ett förslag till en databas till stöd för informationshantering vid kassaflödesvärdering.</p><p>Uppsatsen är skriven utifrån en kvalitativ metod. En omfattande referensram presenteras till syfte att ge läsaren möjlighat att bekanta sig med både kassaflödesvärderingar och databaser. Vidare används ett fallföretag för att exemplifiera hur en kassaflödesvärdering går till, vad den kännetecknar och vilka informationshanteringsbehov som föreligger.</p><p>Uppsatsens resultat består av en konceptuell samt en logisk och fysisk databasmodell utvecklad i Microsoft Access. Den logiska och fysiska databasmodellen består av 20 tabeller där relationerna sammankopplar olika faktorer som påverkar företagets kassaflöde. Möjligheter som databasen ger upphov till är bland annat en förenklad härledning av företagets prognostiserade värde. Vidare kan en större mängd information lagras och hanteras i samband med värderingen. En databas kan också skapa en högre grad av flexibilitet och möjlighat att anpassa värderingen till företagets specifika dynamik. Det finns också möjlighet att lättare identifiera företagets risker och hur riskerna påverkar kassaflödena. Tänkbara problem med databasen är risk för lagring av irrelevant information och att det kan vara problematiskt att påvisa en tillräcklig validitet för databasen.</p><p>I uppsatsen argumenteras också för att det finns möjlighet att även använda den föreslagna databasen vid kassaflödesvärdering av andra företag. Det är dock viktigt att påpeka att flera attribut i den föreslagna databasen är specifika för fallföretaget och kan bli irrelevanta för andra företag.</p> / <p>When a discounted cash flow valuation is performed, the value of the asset is determined by summarising the predicted cash flows and discounting them with the cost of capital. Due to the fact that the future cash flows are predictions, a valuation is always affected by uncertainty. In order to improve the accuracy of the predictions, an extensive amount of information is used. To be successful, it is important to collect reliable and relevant information and manage the information in an efficient way. At present it is difficult to gather and manage information and sufficient computer aid is missing. The purpose of this master thesis is to construct a proposal for a database to support information management for discounted cash flow valuation of corporations. The thesis is conducted with a qualitative research method. An extensive frame of reference is presented in order to give the reader the possibility to get to know both databases and cash flow valuations.</p><p>The result of the study is a conceptual model as well as a logical and physical database model. The proposed database consists of 20 tables where the database relationships connect the value creating factors of the corporation. Possible positive effects of the database are simplified deriving of the corporate value and capacity to store and manage greater amounts of information in a logical manner. The database can also improve the flexibility and adjust the valuation to the dynamic nature of the corporation. Furthermore, the identification of risks and risk factors can be improved. A potential problem with the database is the risk of storing irrelevant information. It can also be difficult to prove a sufficient validity for the database since no user valuation has been carried out.</p><p>In the thesis, the author also argues that the database can be utilised for discounted cash flow valuation of any corporation. However, some tables, attributes and relationships need to be changed and adjusted to the specific nature of the corporation.</p>

Based on the gained findings, a new tool is designed and implemened. It accepts UML class diagrams and database models from the free diagramming environment Dia and for each of these offers three target languages. The key feature of this tool is its modular design allowing new target languages to be added easily.

As zonas costeiras são áreas complexas que contemplam ambientes terrestres e marinhos que, além de possuírem enorme riqueza ambiental, também são áreas atrativas aos seres humanos por oferecer alimentos, lazer, negócios, transporte, entre outros. Algumas dificuldades de gerenciamento ocorrem pela complexidade, conflito de interesses e pelo fato de não haver padronização no levantamento de dados e disponibilização para a comunidade científica, órgãos públicos, etc. O uso de geotecnologias pode auxiliar na organização, padronização e compartilhamento destas informações em Atlas Web além de apoiar no planejamento e tomada de decisão pois agregam, em um único ambiente, diversos dados provenientes de fontes distintas. A construção de um modelo de dados espacial voltado à área ambiental, para ser utilizada em Infraestrutura de Dados Espaciais (IDE) é exemplificada a partir da modelagem de um bioindicador, Macrobentos, de qualidade de sedimentos. Este trabalho apresenta as etapas necessárias para a construção de modelo de dados espacial de Macrobentos e emprega a Região Metropolitana da Baixada Santista como referência, além de ilustrar e discutir as principais dificuldades para organizar os dados não padronizados. Conclui-se que a estruturação do conhecimento quando se trabalha com dados ambientais em um modelo é essencial para sua posterior integração em IDE. Constatou-se no processo de modelagem que questões metodológicas relativas ao processo de coleta podem dificultar ou até mesmo inviabilizar a integração de dados provenientes de diferentes estudos. A construção de um modelo de dados espacial e sua posterior publicação via Geoportal, como o apresentado neste estudo, poderá ser utilizado como referência para novas pesquisas com objetivos semelhantes. / Coastal zones are complex areas that include marine and terrestrial environments. Besides its huge environmental importance, they also attract humans because they provide food, recreation, business, transportation, among others. Some difficulties to manage these areas are related with their complexity, diversity of interests and the absence of standardization to collect and share data to scientific community, public agencies, among others. The use of geo-technologies can be used in the organization, standardization and sharing of this information through Atlas Web and assists planning and decision making issues because it aggregates different files from distinct sources. The construction of a spatial database integrating the environmental business, to be used on Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) is illustrated by a bioindicator, Macrobenthos, that indicates the quality of the sediments. This research shows the required steps to build Macrobenthos spatial database based on Santos Metropolitan Region as a reference. Besides, it tries to illustrate the problems related to organize non standardized data. It can be concluded, when working with environmental data, that the structuring of knowledge in a conceptual model is essential for their subsequent integration into the SDI.
