Výskyt extrémních teplot a jejich vliv na výnosové parametry zeleniny v ČR / The incidence of extreme temperatures and their effect on yield parameters of vegetables in the Czech Republic

Švorcová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is focused to the occurrence of extreme temperatures in the Czech Republic and monitors their effect on the yield of vegetables. The aim is to prepare a review of literature on the impact of extreme weather conditions on yield and quality of selected vegetables. The thesis is focused on the cultivation of vegetables grown for fruit, namely tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum). Besides meteorological effect they are also taken into consideration environmental conditions, crop rotation, effect of diseases and pests. It is also briefly described growing vegetables, history and specific characteristics of tomato. The research was carried out on areas of the Elbe and the South Moravian vegetable growing region, they are in the Czech Republic for the cultivation of tomato in terms of temperature and favorable natural conditions perfect. For this study, yield data from 1977 to 2015 for the Czech Republic and Central Bohemia has been used. The relationship between yield of tomato and extreme meteorological indices was investigated. It was prepared by descriptive statistics and trend equations yields of tomatoes in the period, together with variations that are designed after pentads and it was created correlation coefficient with range of favorability or unfavourableness individual indices at different growing seasons phonological phases of tomato to its yield. According to the classification of the correlation coefficient is seen that due to the number of dry days of July were both observed area yields were reduced by 41%. It follows that not only extreme temperatures but also reduce rainfall adversely affect tomato yields. As results, we can mentioned that the proceeds of tomatoes are largely influenced not only by the high temperatures and the subsequent drought, as well as heavy rainfall and floods. Based on the results of this study can be confirmed that the extreme temperatures occurring in our vegetable growing region have on the yield of tomatoes adverse effect.

Lewza, Rebwar, Akalin, Ayse January 2016 (has links)

Bondesson, Emilie January 2015 (has links)

Boleko

<p>Changes in the climate and the environment are largely consequences of human influences. Resources are given to teach adults about the environment. However, there are problems in focusing on adults because it is difficult to influence people when they already have created a lifestyle. We have instead chosen to focus on teaching children about changes in the climate and the consequences of this.</p><p>Many of the toys available on the market today encourage children to consume. Luxury cars and dolls with hundreds of accessories are often made of materials that has have a negative effect on the environment.</p><p>Another problem we often encountered during the year is the declining interest in technology and science. According to Department of Education, the number of students that began studying at engineering programs at university decreased by 30 percent from 2001 to 2007. Our market research also shows that primary teachers often have a lack of knowledge and insecurity in the field of technology.</p><p>We wanted to develop a product that will raise awareness about the environment while stimulating interest in technology and science. Ideally this would be done through physical activity in the outdoor environment. We wanted the product to be equally appealing to boys as well as girls and could be used by several children at once. In addition to this, the product would not be consuming in itself and could instead be used for many years by children of different ages. So with the children and the need for this sort of product in focus we have created the concept Boleko.</p><p>Boleko includes an environmental-friendly playhouse with several exciting and fun features that aim to increase interest in science and technology. As a supplement to the playhouse there are introductory stories and explanatory texts. The playhouse has been built of materials carefully selected to have a low environmental impact. It is designed as a zero energy house, which means that no heating system is required even though the playhouse can be used through out the whole year. The electricity in the playhouse only comes from renewable energy sources and generates energy for the amusing features inside. Thanks to Boleko concepts such as energy, magnetism, friction, gravity, light reflection, mathematics and mechanics become real in an inspiring way and stimulate interest in science and technology. </p><p>Children of different ages with different backgrounds have been involved during the process and they have tested Boleko. They have given us good feedback which we have had tremendous benefit of. About twenty companies and organisations have been involved in the development process. Since they believed strongly in our product, they have offered support in terms of service, materials and additional funding.</p><p>We are extremely proud to have developed a product and a concept that meet all of our demands. Boleko is right in time, it has a good purpose, can generate good profits and contribute to a sustainable development.</p>

<p>This social psychological qualitative study demonstrate how the children’s play begin and what significant important it has in the child’s identity progress. The main subject in this social- psychological study is the child’s self and how through imagination, creativity and spontaneity the human’s personal identity is discovered. </p><p>However the study is based upon the children’s plays in day- care, the children whom are being objects for the study are from 3-6 years old. With help of psychological and social theories not only we give the study a social- psychological angle but we also describe the importance of the free play in achieving recognition and acceptance of the innersole. Although building an identity is an ongoing process we believe based on the result of the study that some characteristics are imperative to cherish and encourage already in the childhood. Free play offers free mind and free will which is the root to distinguish the significant feature of the human being.</p>
