Vertrauenswürdigkeit und Wissenschaftlichkeit von Visualisierungen im partizipativen Prozess der Endlagersuche für hoch radioaktive Abfälle in Deutschland

Nach über 60 Jahren Nutzung ziviler Kernenergie in Deutschland und dem Atomausstieg bis 2022 stellt sich die Frage nach der Endlagerung (hoch-) radioaktiver Abfälle. Für die Endlagersuche in Deutschland trat 2017 das Standortauswahlgesetz (StandAG) in Kraft, das ein partizipatives, wissenschaftsbasiertes und transparentes Verfahren fordert (Deutscher Bundestag, 2020). Um die in diesem Verfahren auftretenden Fragen und Ergebnisse gesellschaftlich und wissenschaftlich fundiert diskutieren zu können, werden von den am Prozess beteiligten Stakeholdern in zunehmendem Maße auch digitale Informationsangebote bereitgestellt. Diese nutzen verschiedene Arten des Informationsdesigns (Umwandlung komplexer Daten in einfachere, nützliche und efektive Informationen, um Bedürfnisse und Ziele Nutzender kontextabhängig zu erfüllen (Herrera, 2013)), u.a. Kartendarstellungen, wie sie auch in anderen partizipativen Verfahren eingesetzt werden, um niederschwellig Information bereitzustellen (Moser et al., 2020). Vertrauen ist besonders wichtig, um den Betroffenen bei der Entscheidung zu helfen, ob sie an öffentlichen Beteiligungsprozessen teilnehmen (Santamaría-Philco & Wimmer, 2018). In früheren Umfragen wurde den verschiedenen Stakeholdern generell ein sehr unterschiedlicher Grad an Vertrauenswürdigkeit zugestanden (Drögemüller, 2017; Hocke, Stolle & Gloede, 2003; TNS Opinion & Social, 2008). Bei kritischer Würdigung der Fähigkeit dieser Stakeholder, die öffentliche Meinung zu beeinflussen, stellt sich die Frage, ob eine Beurteilung des Inhalts anhand des Informationsdesigns oder aufgrund des dem Stakeholder zugestandenen Vertrauens erfolgt. Wissenschaftlichkeit hingegen ist als Kriterium vor allem mit Blick auf das StandAG relevant, welches einen wissenschaftlich fundierten Prozess fordert. (Åter)skapad text? : En studie om textkritikers informationsbehov, konjekturer och editionsskapande i ett digitalt sammanhang / (Re)written Text? : A Study on Textual Critics' Information Needs, Conjectures, and Editions in a Digital Context

Introduction Digital databases and libraries have for the last 20 years become ubiquitous tools in the philological study of ancient texts. While these databases provide easy access to texts, critical information is often lacking. One example of that is information regarding conjectures and conjectural emendations in the texts. A number of projects in recent years have aimed to collect conjectures in a digital format and present them online, but none have so far been aimed at Ancient Greek philology. To further develop this area of research it is the aim of this thesis to illustrate how conjectures on Ancient Greek literature can be collected and presented in a digital context to fulfil the information needs of philologists. Method Semi structured interviews were conducted with philologists at Uppsala University, University of Oslo and Oxford University. The interviews were tape recorded and the transcripts of the interviews formed the data for analysis. Analysis Qualitative analyses were carried out on the data. To analyse the information needs of the philologists, theoretical approaches found in hermeneutics and information scientific research on the interaction of library professionals and philologists were used. Results It was found that the information needs of philologists varied depending on their professional orientations, e.g. if they were focused on textual criticism, reception studies, ancient or medieval philology. In the interviews it became clear that the use of digital tools varied somewhat between the philologists. The interviews also showed that there are a number of active projects aimed at producing digital critical editions. University and other research libraries are generally where information on proposed conjectures can be found. Conclusion Generally the philologists expressed a need for easier access to the reasonings behind conjectures. Searching for such information is time consuming because it has not been recorded with the same scholarly rigor as other kinds of information. The establishment and online publication of bibliographic records is a first step to amend this need. Current open-source projects aimed at producing digital critical editions can form the basis for further developments in the field. Since research libraries are where information on conjectures can be found, they play an important role in making this information accessible. Further interaction between philology scholars and library professionals is encouraged in order to identify where information can be found and how it can be digitized and made accessible. This is a two years master’s thesis in Library and Information Science.

Целью исследования является создание эффективного инструмента на платформе визуального программирования Dynamo в Autodesk Revit для автоматизации аэродинамического расчета систем воздуховодов в цифровой информационной модели. Задачи: исследовать возможности платформы визуального программирования Dynamo; разработать алгоритмы и скрипты для проведения аэродинамики в цифровой информационной модели. Гипотеза исследования предполагает, что автоматизация аэродинамического расчета позволит сократить время проектирования и уменьшить вероятность ошибок. Результаты исследования подтвердили эффективность использования разработанного скрипта для автоматизации расчета: он ускоряет процесс, обеспечивает более точные результаты и повышает качество проектных решений в области вентиляции. / The aim of the study is to create an effective tool on the Dynamo visual programming platform in Autodesk Revit for automating the aerodynamic calculation of duct systems in a digital information model. Tasks: to explore the possibilities of the Dynamo visual programming platform; to develop algorithms and scripts for conducting aerodynamics in a digital information model. The hypothesis of the study suggests that automation of aerodynamic calculation will reduce design time and reduce the likelihood of errors. The results of the study confirmed the effectiveness of using the developed script to automate the calculation: it speeds up the process, provides more accurate results and improves the quality of design solutions in the field of ventilation.

High school students' use of licensed databases and digital resources via the public library in the East cobb area of Atlanta, Georgia, USA

The study aimed to examine high school student usage of licensed databases available through public libraries in Atlanta-USA. A descriptive quantitative survey was conducted via a web-based questionnaire among 135 East Cobb high school students. The findings revealed that most students are aware of these licensed databases, but their usage is low (1:10) compared to Google. However, as students advance in grade levels, their database usage increases and GALILEO is the most-used licensed resource. Factors that influence student database usage include: specific academic needs; teacher instruction to use specific databases and frequent Digital Information Literacy (DIL) instruction. Most students receive DIL instruction at school, but their DIL skills are still inadequate. To increase usage of licensed databases as reliable information resources, the study recommends collaboration between public libraries and high schools, including incorporation of Generation Y's digital information preferences such as Google-type simplified interfaces, cutting-edge technology and time-saving search features. / Information Science / M.A. (Information Science)

A literatura da última década tem revelado a existência de tensões e conflitos, no uso das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação da Internet TDIC por docentes na Educação Superior, que vêm dificultando a adoção do uso dessas tecnologias por eles em seu cotidiano de ensino. A tese que se apresenta resulta de um estudo de caso, realizado em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior: a IES-P, no qual se investigou as representações de seus docentes sobre o uso educacional das TDIC pela perspectiva da Antropologia Dialética de Henry Lefebvre. Essa investigação buscou responder a seguinte questão: Qual seria a natureza das tensões e conflitos no uso educacional das TDIC que predominariam nessas representações? Teve-se como objetivo verificar quais seriam as implicações dessa natureza sobre a relação que se estabelece entre os propósitos e práticas educacionais desenvolvidos pelos docentes. Esse estudo desenvolveu-se em duas fases. Na primeira, aplicou-se um questionário que foi respondido por 62 dos 439 docentes da IES-P, com o objetivo de identificar, descrever e caracterizar o cenário da pesquisa e o perfil dos participantes. Na segunda fase, realizou-se uma entrevista semi-estruturada com 12 docentes participantes da primeira fase, sendo seus dados submetidos à análise de conteúdo com o objetivo oferecer subsídios para a análise das representações desses docentes sobre o uso das TDIC. Os resultados dessa pesquisa revelaram a predominância de uma dupla natureza para essas tensões e conflitos. Apoiando-se em autores como Bruno Latour e Pierre Lévy, chegou-se a uma proposição que explica essa dupla natureza como resultado da coexistência de dois domínios do uso educacional das TDIC: o sociotécnico e o socioeducacional, sendo que neles, atores sociais desses dois domínios associaram-se e interagiram uns com os outros estabelecendo inter-relações entre aspectos que identificam as ações entre eles nesses domínios, que podem ser tanto de tensão e conflito como de articulação e integração. O que se verificou como um dos resultados mais relevantes deste estudo foi que existiram representações, situadas no domínio socioeducacional e em contextos de uso das TDIC abertos na Internet, em que as inter-relações entre atributos da educação formal e informal ocorreram de forma articulada e integrada para um grupo de professores que transformaram seus propósitos e práticas educacionais ao apropriarem-se dessas tecnologias. Desse resultado, concluiu-se que a margem do que se encontrou como representações dominantes, que tendem a reproduzir formas de uso das TDIC programadas por uma cotidianidade, encontraram-se representações que revelaram marcas da presença de uma possível transformação efetiva de propósitos e práticas educacionais desenvolvidos por docentes na Educação Superior atendendo a demandas emergentes da sociedade por mudanças na relação com o saber na atualidade / Literature from last decade has disclosed the existence of tensions and conflicts in the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) from internet by higher education teachers, which have been preventing them from adopting those Technologies in their everyday practice. The thesis that follows presents the results of a case study carried out in a Higher Education Institution: HEU-P, in which the teachers representations about the educational use of DICTs are investigated based on Henri Lefebvre dialectic anthropological theory. It is an attempt to answer the following question: what would be the nature of the tensions and conflicts in the use of educational DICTs that prevailed in those representations? The aim is to check which would be their implications on the relationships that are established between the educational purposes and practices developed by teachers. This study is developed in two parts. In the first, a questionnaire was applied to and answered by 62 of the 439 teachers from HEI-P. The aim was to identify, describe and characterize research scenario and participants profiles. In the second part, a semi-structured interview was carried out with 12 teachers from the first part, their data undergoing content analysis in order to get information for the analysis of their representation on the use of the DICTs. The results of this research reveal the predominance of a two-faced nature for those tensions and conflicts. According to Bruno Latour and Pierre Lévy, it is possible to infer a proposition that explains the two-faced nature because of the coexistence of two domains of the educational use of the DICTs: the socio-technical and the socio-educational. In both of the domains, the social actors got together and interacted, establishing interrelations among aspects that identify actions between them in those domains, which can be either of tension and conflict or of articulation and integration. What was observed as one of the most relevant results of this study was that for a group of teachers, who transformed their educational purposes and practices when they took hold of those technologies, there were representations, located in the socio-educational domain and in contexts of use of open DICTs from internet, in which the interrelations between attributes of formal and informal education occurred in an articulated and integrated way. The conclusion from this result is that, besides the most important representations, which tend to reproduce usages of DICTs programmed by an everydayness, there were representations that revealed clues of the presence of a possible effective transformation of educational purposes and practices developed by teachers of higher education answering society\'s emerging demands for changes in relation with todays knowledges.

The research sought to answer the question: How are Multifunctional Resource Rooms (MRR) teachers using digital technologies (DT) in their educational practices and what are the challenges that permeate the integration of these technologies in SEA? The main objective of this study was to investigate the practices and challenges of SEA teachers of MRR of the Municipal Public Network of São Luís - MA. Regarding the use of DT in the service of developed in the spaces. Specifically, it was intended to investigate how the uses of the digital technologies in the SEA offered in the MRR are given; Analyze the challenges faced by teachers in the use of technologies in care in these places; And to identify and to offer suggestions for continuing training for the use of DT in SEA, based on the proposals of the subjects participating in the study. The research, with a qualitative approach, adopted as means the field research, and was carried out in MRR of 15 schools of the Municipal Public Network. Data were collected through a questionnaire (25 MRR teachers) and structured interview (8 teachers, among the respondents of the questionnaire). In the analysis of the data, the content analysis was used, following the route of Bardin (2016). In view of the results obtained, it was found that the uses of DT in SEA do not occur very regularly, occur in the modality of support or support to the teaching-learning process and serve especially as a curricular and affective tool. Regarding the challenges to use, there are multiple structural barriers in MRR. In relation to the students, the difficulties are related to the lack of opportunity for the development of their abilities, those intrinsic to the Special Educational Needs (SEN), and the lack of previous knowledge about DT. Related to teachers, there is a lack of opportunity for training in the technological area and lack of mastery in the use of DT. Regarding the continuous training for the use of DT in SEA, teachers believe that these should be based on an adequate theory-practice relationship and should focus on the development of the basic skills technical and pedagogical of the technologies. / Este estudo aborda o tema da integração das tecnologias digitais da informação e comunicação nas práticas educativas do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE). A pesquisa buscou responder à questão: como os docentes das Salas de Recursos Multifuncionais (SRM) estão usando as tecnologias digitais (TD) em suas práticas educativas e quais os desafios que permeiam a integração dessas tecnologias no AEE? Objetivou-se, com o estudo, investigar as práticas e os desafios dos docentes do AEE das SRM da rede pública municipal de São Luís - MA, no que se refere à utilização das TD no atendimento desenvolvido nesses espaços. Especificamente, pretendeu-se investigar como se dão os usos das tecnologias digitais no AEE ofertado nas SRM; analisar os desafios enfrentadas pelos docentes no tocante à utilização das tecnologias no atendimento, nesses locais; e, identificar e apresentar sugestões para uma formação continuada para o uso das TD no AEE, a partir das propostas dos sujeitos participantes do estudo. A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, adotou como meio a pesquisa de campo, e foi realizada em SRM de 15 escolas da rede pública municipal. A coleta de dados ocorreu com a aplicação de questionário (25 docentes das SRM), e por meio de entrevista do tipo estruturada (8 docentes, dentre os respondentes do questionário). Na análise dos dados, usou-se a análise de conteúdo, seguindo o encaminhamento de Bardin (2016). Frente aos resultados obtidos, constatou-se que os usos das TD no AEE não ocorrem com muita regularidade, acontecem na modalidade de apoio ou suporte ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem e servem especialmente como ferramenta curricular e afetiva. Referente aos desafios para o uso, verificou-se que há múltiplas barreiras estruturais nas SRM. Em relação aos alunos, as dificuldades estão ligadas à falta de oportunidade para o desenvolvimento de suas habilidades, àquelas intrínsecas às necessidades educacionais especiais (NEE), e à falta de conhecimento prévio sobre as TD. Relacionados aos professores, destacam-se a falta de oportunidade para formação continuada na área tecnológica e a falta de domínio na utilização das TD. Sobre a formação continuada para o uso das TD no AEE os docentes defendem que estas devem pautar-se na adequada relação teoria-prática e centrarem-se no desenvolvimento das habilidades básicas de domínio técnico e pedagógico das tecnologias
