Upplevelsen av ett affärssystem : Vid uppgradering & tillämpning

Herault, Pichamon, Karimi, Aram, Hashemian, Mazamir January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this essay is to describe the users' perceived benefits / experience of an ERP system that the company uses. Furthermore, outlines the possible difficulties the company encountered when upgrading the ERP system. The study has been based on a qualitative study and a deductive approach. Through semi-structured interviews with a sample of six respondents in a property company created an empiricist. The selected respondents are working in different departments and with different positions in the company, this in order to give an overall picture of the company in to the study. The system of the company is an activity suited ERP and the company is pleased with. There are advantages and disadvantages of such system, where one of the disadvantages that the respondents mention is that it is costly. It is costly, especially when upgrading the business system, in which it takes much time and that the company is in great need of consultants. The need for consultants is in order to upgrade the system, as well as problems arise within the system. Something else that costs is internal and external training programs. What the company doe’s, is to bring in consultants to train their employees. The reason that the consultants are brought in by the company is that more employee’s takes part of the training during an internal, which leads to a lower cost to the company.

Assessing Transportation Disadvantage and Public Transportation Opportunites in Rural Ontario: A Case Study of Huron County

Marr, Eric 06 September 2012 (has links)
In virtually all rural areas in Ontario the limited transportation alternatives means that rural residents without access to a personal vehicle are at great risk of transportation disadvantage. The primary research method for this research involved testing a transportation disadvantage framework using fourteen Key Informant Interviews undertaken with service providers operating within the case study of Huron County. The research found that residents within five demographic groups are at risk of transportation disadvantage within Huron County: older adults, those with physical or mental disabilities, youth, low-income households, and women. The research confirmed that transportation disadvantage exists on a continuum with some groups more disadvantaged than others, but also within groups with some accessibility needs more attainable than others. The research concludes with suggestions for a public transportation system to improve unmet transportation needs in Huron County along with recommendations for improving transportation access within the county.

Researching educational disadvantage : using participatory research to engage marginalised students with education

Bland, Derek Clive January 2006 (has links)
Educational disadvantage, long recognised as a factor in determining post-school options, manifests in forms of marginalisation from and resistance to education, and in under-representation in tertiary education. Moreover, while student voice is becoming a more normalised aspect of decision making in schools, marginalised students have limited opportunities to participate in education reform processes. The practice of &quotstudents as researchers" (SaR) extends student voice through engaging students in researching the educational issues that directly affect them and inviting participation in pedagogical and school reform issues. In this research, I examine the application of an SaR model with marginalised secondary school students, and the outcomes for the participants and their schools. The Student Action Research for University Access (SARUA) project provides the site of my empirical investigation. The research is informed by two complementary lines of theory: Habermasian critical theory, which provides the framework for participatory research, and Bourdieuian social reproduction theory, which scaffolds the aims of empowerment underlying SaR. These theories are extended by a theory of imagination to take account of difference and to establish a link to post-modern considerations. I employed a participatory action research methodology to investigate changes in the students' awareness of post-school options, their aspirations regarding tertiary study, and the development of related educational skills as a result of their participation in the project. The principal findings from the research are that the SARUA model provides an effective medium for the empowerment of marginalised students through engagement in meaningful, real-life research; that participant schools are positioned to benefit from the students' research and interventions when school and student habitus are in accord; and that the SARUA model complements current pedagogical reforms aimed at increasing student engagement, retention, and progression to higher education.

Solidariedade e Estado democrático de direito: uma proposta de (re)leitura dos direito fundamentais no Brasil após a Constituição da República de 1988 / Solidarity and democratic state of law: a proposal of a new reading of fundamental rights after the Brazilian constitution of 1988

Fábio Cesar dos Santos Oliveira 27 August 2009 (has links)
This study tries to define the enforcement of solidarity in the application of fundamental rights. The first chapters were about the definition of the judicial concept of solidarity in comparison with the notions of charity, civic virtue and fraternity, and also about the research of the liberal fundaments which support the inclusion of solidarity in the pluralism of the democratic State of Law. After that, there was studied whether solidarity could be classified as a principle, a rule or an hermeneutic parameter and observed its enforcement when a conflict between fundamental rights takes place. Solidarity was, therefore, analysed as an instrument to protect the disadvantaged with the purpose to avoid inequalities.

Handicap jako stigma, aneb přístup sestry ke znevýhodněnému jedinci / Disability as a stigma, or on approach of nurses to persons with disability

NEUGEBAUER, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the research is to find out the existence of prejudices about patients with handicap, to map caregivers' awareness of stigmatization, to identify the specific needs of handicap patients/clients and how they reflect on the nursing care. The notions of handicap, stigma, stigmatization, development of nursing care for handicapped patients, specification of nursing care, and importance of family members for nursing care are defined in the theoretical part. The practical part consists of the research, which was done by semi-structured interview. A pre-research was conducted before the research itself. In the pre-research, it was ascertain if the questions are understandable and the interviewees' answers are relevant. Ten nurses participated in the pre-research. Based on their remarks, the list of questions was updated and reworked. Thirteen representatives of nurses working in hospitals participated in the research. The selection of interviewees was deliberate and the only criterion for participation in the research was providing care for handicapped patients. Interviews were recorded and then transcribed in Microsoft Word. Individual answers were repeatedly read and then the parts related to the aims were highlighted in the text. All utterances were divided into groups according to the interviewees. After the realization of interviews and their transcription, the data was reduced, analysed, and divided into categories and subcategories. In some cases, there were similar subcategories, so they merged into superior category. The interviewees' awareness of stigmatization is not accurate and the caregivers' prejudices originate from mentally and socially handicapped. The undesirable factors, that affect nurses, are wrong communication, incorrect monitoring of specific needs, restricted or negative previous experience, and fear of the contagion of infectious disease that patients/clients can have. The interviewees state that after providing nursing care for the patients they suffer from higher amount of stress. We think, that understanding this problem can lead to the improvement of monitoring specific needs, avoiding complications, and more effective nursing care for handicapped patients/clients.
