Zkoumání uhlíku jako aditiva záporné aktivní hmoty olověného akumulátoru pro hybridní elektrická vozidla / Investigation of carbon effect in negative active mass on lead-acid accumulator for HEV.

Tonar, Karel January 2010 (has links)
The lead-acid bateries for hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) working under high-rate partial-state-of-charge (HRPSoC) conditions. The negative plates of lead-acid batteries have low charge acceptance. The cycle life of the batteries is dependent on the rate accumulation of PbSO4 on the negative plates. Addition of some carbon or graphite forms to the negative paste mix improves the charge efficieny and slows down sulfation of the negative plates. The master’s thesis wants to explain the contribution of electrochemically active carbon (EAC) additives to the mechanis of the electrochemical reaction of charge of the negative plates.

Přizpůsobený filtr / Matched Filter

Dvořák, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The main objective of this work is to study methods of reducing BER and suggest possible resolution of matched filter. In the first part, the methods are theoretically analyzed and subsequently their function models are sugested in the computer programme Matlab Simulink. On these models, the behaviour for different input values is simulated and on their basis, the output depending on probability of the false income on SNR for each of models is worked out. In the second part, the design of the laboratory preparation with a view to the matched filter is described. This suggestion is divided into the parts which are subsequently described and outputs from the implementation of the suggested resolution are added. Thereinafter, the implementation of the proposed resolution and the results achieved at measurement of the realized produkt are closely described. This product is to be made for educational and laboratory purposes in terms of lessons The Theory of Communication.

Chemotherapy Side Effects at Home: A Nursing Impact

Saint-Clarke, Gwendolyn E 01 January 2017 (has links)
Background: Approximately 32% of all lymphoma patients experience immunocompromised severe avoidable side effects of nadir at home after discharge postchemotherapy. The certified oncology nurses employed at a large metropolitan hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, lack standardized discharge guidelines that include regulatory organizations’ recommendations to assist patients/families with at-home self-management of the avoidable side effects. Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement project was to utilize the institution’s existing postchemotherapy discharge protocol to assess certified oncology nurses’ knowledge of severe avoidable side effects of nadir; modify the existing healthcare institution’s postchemotherapy discharge protocol to reflect standardized practice for promoting clinical practice continuity by leading organizations; conduct multifaceted training seminars to disseminate the modified postchemotherapy discharge guideline; evaluate the oncology nurses’ knowledge of severe avoidable side effects of nadir postchemotherapy after modified guideline implementation; and collaborate with the intraprofessional team to determine if the modified postchemotherapy discharge guideline was feasible and acceptable for system wide hospital implementation. Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework used was Benner’s model of nurse proficiency: expert nurses develop skills and understanding of patient care through a sound educational base and a multitude of experiences. Methods: The existing postchemotherapy discharge protocol was used to develop a developed standardized guideline incorporating regulatory organizations’ recommendations for severe avoidable side effects of nadir postchemotherapy for nursing discharge information and patients’ at-home management. Ten oncology registered nurses on a 16-bed oncology unit participated in two 10-question Likert scale questionnaires based on the existing guideline (pretest) and the modified guideline (posttest) before and after an educational intervention. A quantitative nonparametric descriptive design was used. The questionnaires were analyzed with a two-tailed paired t test, p = 0.05, CI = 95, SD = 12. Results: Nurses significantly improved from pretest to posttest—63% before receiving modified guideline education and 83% after receiving education (p < 0.005). Conclusion: A standardized guideline that included regulatory organizations’ recommendations for at-home management of severe avoidable side effects of nadir showed significant nurses’ improvement in knowledge and competency. The effectiveness of nurses disseminating discharge information was paramount when knowledge awareness and appropriate patient/family assessment were incorporated in the discharge instructions.

Den äldre patientens upplevelse av sitt planeringsmöte vid utskrivning från sjukhuset / The older patient's experience of their planning meeting upon discharging from hospital

Ramot Andersson, Ellinor, Öhrn, Eva January 2020 (has links)
The proportion of older people in the population is increasing and with this increased health efforts are needed. If a changed need for care is daiscovered in connection with a hospital stay, a discharge meeting can be booked upon discharging from the hospital care. During the discharge meeting, a care plan is created that should be individual and person-centered where the patient's resources are to be utilized. The aim of the study was to illustrate the older patient's experience of their discharging meeting. Eight patients were interviewed using a qualitative method with inductive approach. The interviews were then analyzed through a qualitative content analysis and resulted in two main categories: uncertainty before the discharge meeting and be at a disadvantage during the discharge meeting. The result showed that the information given before the discharge meeting was often unclear but it was appreciated by the patients that it was a nurse who provided the information. The patients also experienced the presence of relatives created the feeling of being safe for the patient during the discharge meeting. The results also show that many unknown concepts emerged during the meeting and that the information during the meeting is overwhelming. Distinct information, individual prerequisite and the patients participation are clear areas of improvement for sustainable development in the area.
