Syfte och Forskningsfrågor Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa förståelse för hur relationen och rollfördelningen mellan managers och artister kan se ut och vad som påverkar detta, samt hur manageryrket har påverkats av den förändring som skett i musikbranschen i och med den tekniska utvecklingen. För att nå upp till detta syfte har vi arbetat med tre forskningsfrågor: Vilka roller och vilken arbetsfördelning finns mellan managers och artister? Hur ser managers relationer till deras artister ut och vad påverkar detta? Hur påverkar nya förutsättningar managerns roll och relation till artister? Metod Vår forskning har haft en induktiv ansats då vi ville utgå ifrån empirin och låta de intervjuades berättelser styra uppsatsens riktning. Vi valde en kvalitativ metod då vi ville få en bild av hur våra intervjupersoner själva upplevde sina roller och relationer. Vår empiriska studie består av intervjuer med 6 managers och 4 artister. Slutsatser Vi har genom vår analys och slutdiskussion sett att roller, arbetsfördelning och relationer mellan managers och artister kan se väldigt olika ut från fall till fall. I grunden anses att artisten ska ansvara för de kreativa delarna och managern för de affärsmässiga delarna av artistskapet. Det är dock vanligt att parterna lägger sig i och vill vara involverade i varandras arbete. Vi har också upptäckt att det ofta är svårt att skilja mellan vad som är kreativt och vad som är affärsmässigt. Managers ser sig ofta som både anställda, säljare, samarbetspartners och en extra bandmedlem samtidigt. Relationen mellan managers och artister är ofta både personlig och professionell, och vilken del som upplevs som viktigast påverkas bland annat av hur parterna ser på sina roller gentemot varandra. Tillit är avgörande för en fungerande relation oavsett hur personlig eller professionell relationen är. De nya förutsättningarna i musikbranschen har inte minskat managerns uppgift, men däremot förändrat den. Bland annat krävs det idag att managern har kunskaper inom fler områden än tidigare. / The purpose of this paper is to increase the understanding for the different roles, division of work and the relationships between artists and music managers and what factors that may affect it, as well as what influence the new technological changes within the music industry have on the music managers’ work. The study is based on interviews with six artist managers and four artists. We can draw the conclusion that roles, division of work and the relationships between artists and music managers may look very different from one case to another. Basically, both artists and managers believe that the creative parts should be the artists’ responsibility while the business parts should be the managers’ responsibility. However, we have found that it is common that both actors want to participate in the other’s work and that is often is difficult to separate the creative tasks from the business tasks. The relationship between artists and music managers is often both personal and professional. However, trust is always important. The changes in the music industry have not reduced the importance of the music manager, but might have changed the roles and tasks that the manager will have to face.

Previous issue date: 2008-09-29 / It is analysed the feminization process in the public health space work, in the context
of Social Service and Medicine of the Hospital Universitário da Universidade Federal
do Maranhão, characterized by the majoritary constitution of women, chiefly from the
productive reestructuration, in wich the big capital gets spread with adoption of
flexible measures that refute the paper of State, in the politics of health and
profissions, some of them strongly tokened by a gender divide, as the exemple of the
Social Service and the Medicine. It is perceived, based on the fundaments of the
sexual division of work, the specificities that translate the increase of female activity
rate in present, as well as the inequalities that it expresses in terms of insertions,
occupations and remunerations, letting foresee the currency of the patriarchy-racismcapitalism
domination system. It is concluded with an analyses of the functionality of
the feminization of work in capitalism production, looking to establish a relation with
the thinking of this reaserch's subjects, in order to identify the advances and the
challenges that the actual female progression endures. / Analisa-se o processo da feminização num espaço de trabalho caracterizado pela
constituição majoritária de mulheres como a saúde pública, sobretudo a partir da
reestruturação produtiva, no qual o grande capital busca sua expansão com adoção
de medidas flexíveis que rebatem no papel do Estado, nas políticas de saúde e nas
profissões que aí se inscreve, algumas fortemente marcadas pelo seu caráter
sexual, a exemplo do Serviço Social e da Medicina. Apreendem-se, com base nos
fundamentos da divisão sexual do trabalho, as especificidades que traduzem a
elevação da taxa de atividade feminina na atualidade, bem como as desigualdades
que esta expressa em termos de inserções, ocupações e remunerações, deixando
antever a vigência do sistema patriarcado-racismo-capitalismo. Conclui-se com uma
análise da funcionalidade da feminização do trabalho na produção capitalista,
buscando estabelecer uma relação com o pensamento dos sujeitos dessa pesquisa,
no sentido de identificar os avanços e os desafios que a atual progressão feminina
comporta.

Arbete : Skillnadsskapande och försörjning i 1500-talets Sverige / Work : Constructing Difference and Making a Living in Sixteenth-Century SwedenPihl, Christopher January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to explore work as an idea and a practice for the construction and maintenance of differences and power relations, and to examine what the consequences were for the individual and society in early modern Sweden. The period saw an expansion of the state apparatus which created numerous new opportunities for employment. There also exists a body of literature from this period, in the form of instructions relating to work and households. The thesis draws both on these instructions and descriptions and on sources produced by the crown. The thesis shows that gender was a crucial factor for the organisation of work. Operating The service of the crown was characterised by two principal organisational forms: the household, and a precursor of a bureaucratic system. The household had its basis in the couple, and had a clear gendered division of power, the couple together constituted the management of the household, at the same time there was an element of male superordination. The other form was exclusively male and based on delegation of power within the organisation and on an attempt to formalise relations by written instructions. The majority of the jobs created were held by men. In crafts and administration, men took over a number of female areas of competence. In this process was occupational positions created for these men. Women’s opportunities to work were heavily affected by an idea of a female area of expertise, ‘womenfolk’s work’ which never become specialiced, but the investigation also shows that work created in the crowns households in positions of leadership created livelihoods for married adult women. Among employees that were young and unmarried the similarities between the genders were often more striking than the differences. Greater differences emerge from a comparison of the entire workforce of the crown, which shows women’s annual wages to be 75 per cent of those of men. Overall women had few opportunities to make careers and get well paid employments.

Previous issue date: 2009-08-03 / In this dissertation the problem of child labored girls in São Luís is presented.
Emphasizing aspects of Brazilian and international history that show the social path
of the labored teenagers and children, its causes and consequences focusing child
domestic labor. The child labor is studied from its complexity and historical, cultural
and economic determinations. We made bibliographic researches in secondary
fountains and gathered information about domestic labored young girls through a
questionnaire realized in 2006 in São Luís s public schools. We wish to find important
elements for the comprehension of child domestic labor, demystify the culturally
established concept of help and, also, call attention of society for to the child
domestic labor. / Este trabalho aborda o problema do trabalho infantil doméstico de meninas em São
Luís. Enfatiza-se aspectos da história mundial e brasileira que retratam a trajetória
social da criança e do adolescente trabalhadores, as causas e conseqüências do
trabalho infantil para suas vidas, com foco específico no trabalho infantil doméstico.
O trabalho infantil doméstico é estudado a partir de sua complexidade e das
determinações históricas, culturais e econômicas que o envolvem. Para construção
da dissertação realizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica em fontes secundárias,
levantamento de dados acerca do perfil de meninas trabalhadoras domésticas
através de questionário de pesquisa aplicado no ano de 2006 em escolas públicas
municipais e estaduais de São Luís. Deseja-se, com este trabalho, resgatar
elementos significativos para a compreensão do fenômeno do trabalho infantil, para
desmistificação do mito da ajuda e, ainda, para a sensibilização da sociedade no
tocante à situação das meninas trabalhadoras domésticas.
