The "Documentary Reading Model for Indexing of Scientific Articles by Fujita (2003a) is a proposal of improvement and evolution of the methodology of indexing through the indexer's metacognition (non-automatized behaviour as the reader is conscious of how the reading is being carried out), using the knowledgement of textual structures of the reader, relying on strategies of systematic approach of concepts offered in his education. Considering the learning of the documentary reading process in classroom, it is searched into the applicability of this Model as pedagogical resource to apprentice indexers. By means of introspective technique of data collecting of the Interative Verbal Protocol, observing the process of apprehending the methodology, this research reveals difficulties by the apprentice and his development towards more satisfactory grades of carring out the indexing task. It was chosen three students from the second class of Librarianship that had not attended the discipline "Indexing and Abstracting" and were intested in taking part in the applying of the Verbal Protocol combined with the indexing task. The analysis of the Verbal Protocol's transcriptions shows that the apprentices had difficulties in identifying the concepts of this Model: to choose terms to represent the concepts, to understand the terminology of the medical science and to to set up the terms' form (singular or phrases). Such difficulty is relating to the using of the Reading Model adapted from the original where there was inversion of the concepts action and object. Na intenção de contribuir teoricamente com o desenvolvimento de um método que facilite a tarefa de análise de assunto em texto narrativo, nos seus aspectos de identificação e seleção de conceitos, buscou-se subsídios teóricos em áreas de interface com a Ciência da Informação, mais especificamente a Lingüística. Esta última proporcionou o conhecimento da estrutura textual do texto narrativo, e a Semântica Discursiva contribuiu com o percurso temático e o percurso figurativo utilizados como ferramentas para análise de assunto de textos narrativos. Objetivou-se, desta forma, a elaboração de um método que facilite a tarefa de análise de assunto, nos aspectos de identificação e seleção de conceitos, para promover a acessibilidade do conteúdo do documento. Para tanto, optou-se pela análise de três contos espíritas, nos quais foi inicialmente identificada, em suas estruturas, a seqüência canônica e, a partir dela, realizou-se a análise do percurso temático e do percurso figurativo, para a identificação de conceitos. Obteve-se como resultados a identificação de temas principais e secundários nos textos narrativos analisados. Com isso, concluiu-se que, o método experimental de análise proposto mostrou-se eficiente para o corpus desta pesquisa, pois possibilitou a identificação de conceitos relevantes que caracterizam os assuntos abordados nos contos, os quais poderão posteriormente ser traduzidos para a linguagem de um sistema de informação. Sugere-se, ainda, o desenvolvimento de um estudo para verificar e confirmar a hipótese surgida durante a realização da presente pesquisa, de que nas fases de Manipulação e Sanção, componentes da seqüência canônica... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: In the field of Knowledge Organization, more specifically in the approach of information usage, there is a lack of theorical assistance concerning to the analysis of fictitious documents. Trying to theorically contribute with the development of a method that makes easier the analysis of subjects in a narrative text, on its aspects of identification and selection of concepts, we researched theorical assistance in interface fields linked to the Science of Knowledge, more specifically Linguistics. This last one provided the Knowledge about the textual structure into the narrative text and the Discursive Semantics contributed with the thematic and figurative courses, used as tools on the analysis of questions form narrative texts. We aimed, therefore, the formulation of a method that could make easier the task of analyzing the subject, its aspects of identification and selection of concepts, in order to foment the accessibility of the content into the document. To achieve it, we opted by the analysis of there spiritualistic tales, in which was initially identified, on its structures, the canonic sequence and, through it, we did the analysis of the thematic and figurative paths, due to the identification of the concepts. The results were the identification of primary and secondary themes in the narrative texts that were analyzed. From it, we concluded that the experimental method of analysis proposed was efficient into the corpus of this research, because allowed us the identification of relevant concepts that characterize the issues approached in the tales, which will, in the future, be translated into a language from the system of information. A proposta desta pesquisa consiste na investigação do processo de leitura de um texto em inglês após os conhecimentos adquiridos nas disciplinas de Inglês Instrumental e Indexação e Resumos no curso de Biblioteconomia. Propomos uma interface entre as duas disciplinas com a finalidade de compreensão de textos em inglês para realização da tarefa de elaboração de resumos. Os objetivos são: trazer contribuição para as disciplinas afins no que concerne à orientação de leitura para elaboração de resumos, fazer levantamento de indicadores de leitura para elaboração de metodologias com a sugestão da utilização do Inglês Instrumental. Tal investigação foi realizada por meio de levantamento bibliográfico sobre resumo, leitura e por meio de observação do processo de leitura. A técnica da coleta de dados foi a denominada Protocolo Verbal. Os processos de leitura observados foram realizados por dois alunos do quarto ano do curso de Biblioteconomia do campus da UNESP de Marília. Receberam instruções quanto ao uso do Inglês Instrumental, para superação dos problemas oriundos da deficiência de conhecimento da língua e, instruções quanto às técnicas de síntese, análise e representação do documento para a elaboração do resumo documentário. Verificamos como procedem à compreensão do texto na tarefa de leitura para elaboração do resumo documentário e observamos que utilizam as estratégias de leitura aprendidas nas aulas de Inglês Instrumental, bem como utilizam o conhecimento adquirido sobre a elaboração do resumo. Os resultados obtidos... / Reading in English with the purpose of writing abstracts can be facilitated through ESP (English for specific purposes) approach. The student learns reading strategies that help him in text comprehension without the necessity of having great knowledge in English. This research proposal is to investigate the reading process of a written English text after the students had been acquainted with the two disciplines (ESP and 'Indexing and Abstract') in the Library Science course. We propose an 'interface' between both subjects in order to comprehend English written texts to the task of writing abstracts. The objectives are to contribute to these subjects related to the reading orientation to the abstract writing task and to point out some reading indicators to methodologies suggesting ESP approach. This research was carried out by the analysis of abstract and reading bibliographies and observation of the reading process. The technique of the data collecting was the one denominated Thinking Aloud. The reading process observed was carried out by two students from the fourth grade of Library Science at UNESP in Marília. Both of them had taken the two subjects above mentioned during the course. They received instructions about the use of ESP to overcome problems of the weak language knowledge and also about the synthesis, analysis and representation of the document. We verified how they read a text in order to write an abstract and observed that they used the reading strategies learned in the ESP classes as well as the knowledge about abstract writing. The obtained results indicate that the instrumental approach may be useful to the abstract writing task by means of appropriate reading strategies, such as, vocabulary strategies, language structure, paragraph structure, textual markers, selectivity, metacognitive monitoring, prediction, nominal... As fontes de informação jurídica são representadas pela doutrina, legislação e jurisprudência. Na literatura da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação não há trabalhos que sistematizem o ato da leitura documentária dessas fontes. Partindo deste pressuposto a presente pesquisa projetou os seguintes objetivos: fornecer subsídios que auxiliem os bibliotecários no acesso e compreensão dos conceitos que permeiam a ciência jurídica; detalhar as características das fontes de informação jurídica, e desenvolver modelo estratégico de leitura técnica da fonte de informação jurisprudencial. Inicialmente, exploraram-se aspectos cognitivos que influenciam o ato de ler. Posteriormente, demonstrou-se a importância da Terminologia e da Lingüística Documentária ao oferecem instrumentos que auxiliam o bibliotecário no conhecimento da terminologia e compreensão das definições da área do Direito, a primeira produzindo a compilação dos termos; a segunda, estruturando e sistematizando os campos conceituais nas áreas de especialidade. Finalizando essa etapa exibiram-se conceitos da indexação e das linguagens documentárias. Prosseguindo com a pesquisa apresentaram-se definições da Ciência do Direito, destacando a estrutura textual dos acórdãos, das leis e dos pareceres jurídicos. Na seqüencia, iniciou-se o desenvolvimento do modelo de leitura técnica jurisprudencial com a exibição de conceitos referentes à dinâmica processual, em especial os procedimentos recursais no âmbito do Superior Tribunal de Justiça - STJ. Na fase de aplicação dos modelos utilizaram-se recursos especiais - RESPs, publicados na Revista Eletrônica da Jurisprudência do STJ. Da avaliação do modelo podem-se tirar as seguintes conclusões: para a compreensão da terminologia jurídica e indexação da decisão judicial (acórdão) é necessário que o bibliotecário aproprie-se dos conceitos jurídicos, entenda as fases do processo judicial e use técnicas estratégicas de leitura para a análise de certas partes do acórdão - a ementa, o voto do relator e, quando necessário, o relatório. Ao utilizar as técnicas sugeridas no modelo ora proposto, o bibliotecário conseguirá indexar o acórdão sem necessariamente lê-lo na íntegra. / The sources of legal information are represented by doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence. In the literature of the Librarian Science and that of the Information Science there are not works that systematize the act of the documentary reading of these sources. Therefore, the present research aims at: providing useful information to the librarians in the access and comprehension of the concepts of the legal science; detailing the characteristics of the sources of legal information; and developing a strategic model for the technical reading of the jurisprudence source of information. Innitially, cognition aspects that influence the act of reading were explored. Later, the importance of terminology and documentary linguistics was demonstrated by offering the librarian useful tools to the understanding of the terminology and definitions of the Law field, firstly by producing a compilation of the terms and then by structuring and systematizing conceptual fields in the specific areas. This stage of the research ends by displaying concepts of the index process and documentary languages. Next, definitions of the Law Science are presented, highlighting the textual framework of the sentence, laws, and legal opinion. There follows the development of the model of jurisprudence technical reading, presenting the concepts related to the dynamics of legal proceedings, specially appeal procedures to the Superior Tribunal de Justiça - STJ (Upper Court of Appeals). In the stage of application of the model, court decisions related to specials appeals - RESPs - published in the \"Revista Eletrônica da Jurisprudência do STJ\" were used. Upon evaluation of the model, the following conclusions were drawn: in order to understand the legal terminology and the indexation of the court decision, the librarian must internalize the legal concepts, understand the steps of the legal proceedings, and use reading strategies in the analisys of certain parts of the decision - the summary, the vote of the reporter and, when necessary, the report. By using the techniques suggested in the model, the librarian will be able to index the decision without having to read the whole of the decision.
