The goal of this thesis is to analyze the forwarding and courier services at selected subjects. In this thesis I analyze and compare a total of eight transportation companies. These are: Czech Post, DHL Express s.r.o., PPL CZ s.r.o., TNT Express Worldwide, s.r.o., DPD CZ s.r.o., Czech Republic Dachser, a.s., ČSAD Jihotrans, a.s.., Spedica,s.r.o. Other goal of this thesis is to determine whether there are too many similar companies in the market, and whether there is still space for new forwarding company.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current transportation practices in Geis CZ s.r.o. with regard to the use of transport resources and to ensuring adequate levels of service. The thesis covers theoretical knowledge related to its topic; its practical part deals with the tranportation practices in Geis CZ s.r.o. České Budějovice. The practical part contains basic information about the analyzed company, its history, partners, services provided and the company{\crq}s competition as well. At the end, the section provides suggestions for improvement and to deal with problems which the company is currently facing.

Currently, logistics is considered as one of the most dynamic sector and therefore it should be given considerable attention. With the current trend of the globalization, we can expect increasing tendency in the near future. Logistics as we know it today has been really an indispensable part of our daily lives. All these activities are covered by logistics processes, without which we cannot imagine the modern life as we know it today.The aim of my thesis is to describe and analyze services and product lines of DHL Express (Czech Republic) Ltd. I chose this topic because I worked in the company and therefore I know the internal conditions and thus can approach the issue comprehensively. The main focus is on description and assessment of existing services DHL Express in the theoretical part. In the practical part, I would like to analyze the new, introducing the services that DHL recently applied or only will implement in the near future. It is for example the Service Point or modern service on petrol station related with expenditure shipments. Outputs of my final project should be beneficial also for the company itself. They are recommendations which services are most used and on the other hand should be turn down or improved. The arguments and opinions in the thesis are supported also by the questionnaire.

Main goal of my dissertation is to refer to basic accounting and economic problems in logistics. Theoretical part is focused on main decision problems in the beginning of enterprise activities (convenience of acquisition warehouse building or its lease, comparison transportation by own vehicles with lease of transportation duty, specification of standards required characters of accounting and infomation system). In a dissertation im focusing also on accounts payable remittance and well timed servicing the debts. The end of my dissertation is presented to exchange rate differences. In a practical part im applying theoretical knowledges to a concrete logistics company and im assessing its activities.

The aim of my work is to analyse current transport of groceries. Analysis of risks connected with groceries, transport types, warehousing types, manipulation units, etc. The abstract of this diploma is also case study about petite distribution.

Diplomová práce analyzuje hlavní činnosti ve firmě Škoda Auto v oblasti distribuční logistiky a prodeje. Cílem práce je navrhnout optimalizaci klíčových procesů v distribučním řetězci Škoda Auto se zaměřením na prodej hotových vozidel a jejich přepravu k finálním zákazníkům. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá možnostmi zlepšení plánování a dodávek vozidel zaváděním nových softwarových produktů a pružnějších metod objednávání.

Práce se zabývá vývojovými stadii podnikových informačních systémů s důrazem na jednotlivé softwarové aplikace z oblasti logistiky. Porovnává modulový a procesní přístup k výstavbě softwarového řešení. V praktické části vyhledává vhodné aplikace pro jednotlivé oblasti logistiky, podle specifik zvoleného podniku střední velikosti - oblast skladové evidence s čárovými kódy, VoIP telefonie, internetového připojení, elektronické fakturace, fleetware, klasického EDI a WEBEDI.

Thesis is about various implications that can be seen in business processes. It defines the term, describes history, the most important offshoring destinations and positive, as well as negative influences that offshoring has on firms. Practical part demonstrates decisions which firm has to make when it considers various locations of manufacturing.
