A emoção em rede: as éticas e estéticas Emo / Emotion in web: the Emo ethics and aestheticsRenata Oliveira Carvalho 26 February 2015 (has links)
The present work is to analyze the most striking features of the urban tribe Emo, whose origin is in the emocore musical style. This is a study that basically punctuates the music, sexuality, fashion and sentimentality in the imaginary emo, presented as elements that are configured in community tribe elans. From the perspective of Post-modernity, not objective research to find reasons or justifications for the behavior of the tribe young, just consider some issues under the light of imaginary, urban tribalism and body concepts within the bias already explored in research Social Communication. Since the social network Facebook as the main ground for realization of netnography, publications were analyzed in profiles and fan pages demystifying the tribe and showing the various facets of these young people. In addressing controversial issues such as bisexuality, androgyny, suicide and self-harm, the study shows how them put themselves socially - among their subversive and contradictory logics - elucidating other ways of seeing the world. The concepts of urban tribalism of Maffesoli (1987) guided the steps in this study that made use of optics of this and other authors who deal with issues of Post-modernity

This research aims to understand how the affective components involved in transgender
relations with documents constitute specific ways in which these people recognize themselves
and build their bodies and their paths, their life projects and their relationship with others. We
understand that the documents, if the personal identification or those produced by social
movements, legal actors and health and the State, are experienced by trans people beyond
administrative functions that are initially thought, but also involve a series of emotional
experiences mark their subjective processes, in how these people produce themselves and
design in the world their sociality networks. We elected as research field two institutions
located in the city of Jo?o Pessoa (Para?ba State), noting the intense institutional movement,
political, social in favor of the rights of transexuals that have occurred in that city in recent
years. Thus, the Rights Reference Centre for LGBT and Fight Against Homophobia (Espa?o
LGBT) and Health Clinic of Transvestites and Transexuals (Ambulat?rio de Sa?de de
Travestis e Transexuais) were the spaces where we find our interlocutors and analyze their
experiences with the documents noting two key aspects: the search for first name change in
the civil registry and the relationship of trans people with documents produced by the health
policies and services such as protocols, records, receipts and psychiatric reports. We realized
that although there is disagreement about the perception that our interlocutors have on the
documentation that regulates health services, all reported experiencing embarrassment in
social situations when you have those who make use of a document that is not consistent with
the performance and ?social face? taken. In addition to the reports of embarrassment, we saw
that the discussion of social distress and trauma has grounded the platforms of social
movements, public policy, legal processes and become ?narratives of pains? that present
strong potential micro-political on demand for rights to ?trans people?.

Identity status and identity style in the emo subculture: Exploring identity between emo vs. non-emo emerging adultsUggen, Melanie Rebekah 10 May 2024 (has links) (PDF)
Emerging adulthood can be viewed as a time of exploration and experimentation for college-aged adults (Arnett, 2000). As individuals begin trying on their possible selves as they explore personal identity, they can gravitate to peer groups that fit their interests. For some, that can mean being drawn to the emo subculture. This subculture focuses on its fashion, often based on dyed black hair, dark clothing, studded accessories, and black eyeliner (Chernoff & Widdicombe, 2015), centered around music with lyrics often interpreted as depressive or angst?ridden. Emo subculture has been subject to criticism and stereotypes, especially those with mental health themes (Arunrangsiwed & Arunrangsiwed, 2019). This research explored possible differences in identity status (Marcia) and identity style (Berzonzsky) among those who identify as emo compared to emerging adults who did not identify with this subculture. The purpose of this study was to examine identity formation in individuals who identify with the emo subculture compared to individuals who do not identify with this subculture. The sample for the survey comprised emerging adults 18-26 recruited through social media sites offering a link or QR code to an online survey consisting of measures of identity status, identity style, and psychological well-being-related questions. There were 648 participants in total, out of which 87.00% identified themselves as emo. The research provides useful insights into identity development within the emo subculture. It explores the connections between exploration, commitment, different identity styles, and mental health themes. According to the study, there are notable differences in the identity processes, statuses, and styles between emerging adults who identify with the emo subculture and those who do not. The research shows significant differences in identity status and identity processes between individuals who identify with the emo subculture and those who do not.

Previous issue date: 2010-04-12 / In this study, we researched the meaning of being an adolescent for ten members of the urban
tribe named emotional hardcore (EMO) in the municipality of Goiânia, in the state of Goiás,
Brazil. We intended to grasp the senses and the meanings that adolescents belonging to the
EMO tribe attribute to adolescence and the emotional dimensions that are present in their
relationships with themselves, their peers, their families, their schools, and society. This
research aimed at offering a contribution to social psychology, broadening the knowledge
about adolescence from the perspective of social historical psychology in relation to the
singularity of the individual and the social subjectivity in which the study participants are
inserted. This study was carried out based on social historical psychology and on Vigotski, its
main representative, who used the dialectical materialism as a philosophy, theory, and
method. We employed qualitative research using the methodological proposal of triangulation
procedure: simple observation, interviews, and focus groups. Participants were ten
adolescents, ranging from 15 to 17 years old, five of each sex, members of the EMO tribe. In
this study, we gave these adolescents the chance of being heard, which opened the possibility
of understanding them as significant individuals, who have things to say, to do, to think about,
who are aware of what is going on around them, and who reflect the events of human life,
revealing how they are constituted and how they constitute themselves based on their social
relationships. Therefore, at first, the analysis of the senses and meanings that emerged during
this research revealed that adolescence means a time to make a mess, passage and transition,
pressure, conflicts, uncertainties, loneliness, as well as a time for discoveries and challenges;
in a second moment, it showed that the participants correlated adolescence with their spaces
in the EMO tribe, in their families, and in their schools, also allowing us to grasp both the
senses and meanings of sexuality and prejudice experienced by the adolescents belonging to
the EMO tribe.
A pesquisa

Previous issue date: 2017-03-28 / This study presents the thesis I have been calling ?epigenesis of consciousness?. The main
problem addressed here is how to account for a strictly materialist explanation of consciousness
without resorting to an unrestricted attachment to any sort of reductive materialism and
determinist naturalism. My working hypothesis takes as its starting point the Spinozist monism
to state: 1. that consciousness emerges from the self-organizing matter; 2. that this
self-organization follows a pattern, a layered formation which runs from the peripheral nervous
system to the neocortex; 3. that this process is related to the neuroplasticity of the brain tissue
and can be mapped by dynamic systems theory. Starting from this hypothesis, I apply the
neurodynamics of emotions to map the three stages behind the uprising of consciousness: 1. the
live present; 2. Memory; 3. Thought. The aim of this work is to state that consciousness is an
evolutionary, co-emergent, subject-to-variation process, merging determinism and freedom in
nature.
monismo espinosista para afirmar: 1. que a consci?ncia emerge da auto-organiza??o material;

Previous issue date: 2018-04-12 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / Emotion ceased to be a marginal concept to occupy much of the recent literature in Social
Communication. Within journalism, it generates revulsion, attraction, and, especially,
uncertainties about its real function. What seems incontestable, however, is its constant
rhetorical use in the construction of discourses. In this present research, we must investigate
the discursive construction of the concept of football rivalry through emotions. In particular,
the use of Schadenfreude, the joy with other's failure, as a constituent element of sports
narratives. As an object, we will look at the "cheering narratives" of the Gremista GZH and
Colorado GZH applications, where journalists stand next to the audience to whom they direct
their messages, as opposed to conventional radio and press narration. For this investigation,
Discourse Analysis (AD), based on the concepts of Charaudeau (2004a; 2004b; 2015) and
P?cheux (1990; 1995), will be adopted as a procedure in order to identify discursive visions,
the addressee idealized by the enunciator and references to the rival. As a methodology, Depth
Hermeneutics (HP) will be adopted as assigned by Thompson (2011). This work is based on
the journalistic concepts of McCombs (2009), Traquina (2000; 2008) and Wolf (2012), socialsports
of Caillois (1990), Damo (2002; 2015), Elias and Dunning (2000), Helal (1990, 1997,

Comunica??o Social. Dentro do jornalismo, ela gera repulsa, atra??o e, especialmente,

Previous issue date: 2018-03-05 / Postpartum Depression (PPD) has a negative effect on newborns and their mothers,
and impairments to the mother-infant relationship seem to be harmful to the child?s
development. Despite the high prevalence of PPD in Brazil, there are no evaluation protocols
and interventions recognized by the country?s unified health service. In order to contribute to
an intervention adapted to Brazilian cultural issues and the reality of Brazilian mothers in the
postpartum period, two studies were carried out in this dissertation - a theoretical study and an
empirical study. The theoretical study aimed to describe two intervention protocols and the
respective materials necessary for their execution: a psychoeducation protocol and a training
protocol for facial expression recognition. The methodology applied the following steps: (1)
state of the art review, (2) preliminary proposal preparation, (3) specialized psychologists?
analysis, (4) pilot study. The study?s resulted in a psychoeducational protocol composed by
seven themed primers defining subjects to be addressed with the mothers, in addition to a
facial expression training protocol composed by six instruments. The empirical study?s
objective was to investigate the effectiveness of both interventions (the psychoeducation and
the facial expression training protocol) in the quality of mother-infant interaction. Preliminary
results are described in this study, The sample consisted of 14 dyads in which the mothers
were diagnosed with PPD by both the EPDS (cut-off point ?11) and SCID. Dyads were
assessed between four and twelve weeks postpartum and were randomized into three
conditions: psychoeducation, facial expression training, and waiting list. The results
suggested a significant effects of the training groups in maternal ability to recognize anger
faces, and a significant effect of the Psychoeducation group on mother-child interaction
(proximity and relaxation dimensions). Compared to the waiting list, the two intervention
groups produced positive effects, albeit only the Psychoeducation group had an effect on the
target primary outcome. Therefore, results suggest that psychoeducation was more effective in
increasing the quality of the mother-infant relationship when compared to the other two
groups. Further studies with a larger sample size and longer follow-up period are required to
investigate these effects further.
preju?zos no desenvolvimento infantil.
execu??o deste.
faciais no implemento da qualidade da rela??o m?e-beb?. A presente proposta apresenta os
dados preliminares do estudo.
As d?ades iniciaram a

Psicoeduca??o tenha apresentado efeitos significativos no desfecho prim?rio.
