An assessment of educational components in foreign aid development projects in Jordan

This study assessed educational components and related educational strategies incorporated into Foreign Aid Development Projects (FADP's). This study used case study, document analysis, and survey techniques. The primary data treatment used qualitative techniques consistent with naturalistic inquiry. The case study evolved from a funded internship in the middle east under the auspices of the Near East Foundation. The internship facilitated the field testing of educational strategies during the implementation of a rural development project. The case study, supplemented with the review of literature, produced a pool of potential educational strategies. The document analysis examined abstracts of Jordan projects funded by the Agency for International Development (A.I.D.). The analysis disclosed the magnitude and diversity of educational components in Jordan FADP's during the last eight years. The document analysis showed the low cost of implementing educational components. Also, the scope of the educational components was low and followed no pattern. A tendency toward larger educational components in recent years was unstructured. The survey assessed perceptions of action officers involved with the A.I.D. projects. The process produced information that project action officers are difficult to trace and have varied backgrounds. The study produced a list of recommendations regarding the use of educational components and strategies in FADP's. A basic structure for the planning and implementation of educational components evolved. It was presented in the form of both a planning model and a training model for future use in foreign aid development projects. / Ed. D.

Švietimo pagalba reglamentuojančiuose dokumentuose yra suprantama kaip mokiniams, jų tėvams (globėjams, rūpintojams), mokytojams ir švietimo teikėjams specialistų teikiama pagalba, kuri yra orientuotą į vaiką ir jo poreikius bei gebėjimus atitinkantį ugdymą, kurios tikslas – didinti švietimo veiksmingumą. Siekiant užtikrinti kokybišką specialiųjų poreikių turinčių vaikų mokymą(si), mokykloje turėtų dirbti kompetentingi specialistai, tokie kaip: specialusis pedagogas, logopedas, socialinis pedagogas, psichologas ir kt. Mokykloje turėtų būti sudarytos visos sąlygos, kad mokinys, kuris turi negalę arba specialiųjų poreikių jaustųsi gerai ir saugiai. Bendradarbiaujant pedagogams, tėvams ir specialistams, vaikui turėtų būti pritaikytas ugdymo turinis bei ugdymo aplinka, taip pat aprūpintas pritaikytomis mokymo priemonėmis. Tyrimo objektas – tautinių mažumų lenkų dėstomąja kalba mokyklų švietimo pagalbos sistema. Tyrimo problema – švietimo pagalbos organizavimo ypatumai tautinių mažumų lenkų dėstomąja kalba mokyklose. Magistro darbe yra išanalizuoti ir susisteminti įvairūs moklinės literatūros šaltiniai apie Švietimo pagalbos šeimoms auginančioms vaikus iki 7 metų. Darbe išanalizuotos ikimokyklinės įstaigos galimybes organizuojant tėvų švietimą, remiantis tėvų nuomone. Taip pat surinkta informacija apie tėvų švietimo formas Šiaulių ikimokyklinėse įstaigose. Apžvelgta ,,Šiaulių krašto“ laikraščių tematika, tėvų auginančių vaikus iki 7 metų švietimo klausimais (2006-2008). Pasitvirtino darbo hipotezė, kad tėvai skiria permažai dėmesio švietimui ir bendradarbiavimui su grupėje dirbančiu pedagogu. Taip pat išaiškėjo, kad pedagogai naudoja įprastas švietimo formas ikimokyklinėse ir priešmokyklinėse ugdymo grupėse. / The Master paper analyses and systematises different scientific literature on educational assistance for families having children under 7years old. The paper explores arranging of the pre-school possibilities according to the parents opinion. Information on parents education forms in the pre-school institution is being collected. Moreover, topics on educational issues on parents having children under 7 years old relieved by Šiauliai Kraštas newsletter (2006-2008). Hypothesis is being approved that parents pay too little attention to education and co-operation with pre-school teachers. It explores also that pedagogues use ordinary educational forms in the pre-school groups aged from 1 to 6 and from 6 to 7.

Bakalauro darbe analizuojami paauglių adaptacijos ypatumai gimnazijoje ir socialinės pedagoginės pagalbos reikalingumas. Tyrimo duomenims gauti buvo pasinaudota apklausa raštu (anketa), turinio analizė (kaip duomenų apdorojimo metodas atviriems anketos klausimams). Empirinių duomenų analizės metodai: aprašomoji statistika, dažniai, vidurkiai, neparametriniai testai (Kruskal-Wallis) pasitelkiant SPSS programą. Tyrime dalyvavo 104 Šiaulių miesto bei rajono gimnazistai, kurie mokosi I, II ir III gimnazinėse klasėse. Tyrimas atliktas pasinaudojus patogiąją ir tikslinę atranką. Tyrimo tikslas atskleisti paauglių adaptacijos ypatumus gimnazijoje socialinės pedagoginės pagalbos kontekste. / This paper is about teenager adaptation in gymnasium and importance of social educational assistence. Research data was obtained by using written survey (questionnaire), content analysis (as a data processing method for open questions of the questionnaire). In study there were used these methods of empirical data analysis: Descriptive statistics, frequencies, averages, non-parametric tests (Kruskal-Wallis) using SPSS program. The study involved 104 students from Siauliai city and district, who studied in I, II, III classes of gymnasium. The study was done using a convenient selection and targeting. The study aims to reveal teenagers adaptation characteristics in gymnasium in context of social educational assistance.
