Surfplattan tar plats i förskolan : En kommuns tankar och pedagogernas verklighet / The tablet takes place in preschool : A municipality's thoughts and pedagogues realityVestlund, Emelie January 2014 (has links)
The study is an investigating of a municipality’s work with implementations of tablet computer in preschool, and the pedagogues’ experience of the new technique. In the study the pedagogues’ experiences of the tablet computers are illuminated. Quantitative interviews were used to receive the required information, since it is a principal method applicable for this study. The result shows that the municipality did not have any plans for how the work with the tablet computers in preschool was going to proceed. It is also obvious that the pedagogues don’t have the competence nor the work plan to use the tablet computer as a pedagogical tool. The pedagogues are mentioning lack of time as a contributory factor in the matter. The conclusion is that the tablet computer, obtained two years ago, has not been implemented in the daily work. There is a lack in both continuity and work plan when it comes to the tablet computer according to my study.

Nilsson, Julia January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this study was to examine pre-school teachers' experiences of how and for what purpose children at preschool Ljusstaden in Kalmar, use the tablet. The study also examined the teachers' views on the tool in that context. From a media and communication research perspective, the purpose with this study was to increase greater knowledge and understanding of children's use of the tablet in preschool in Kalmar. I chose to performe a qualitative study by conducting semistructured interviews with seven pre-school teachers at the preschool, Ljusstaden in Kalmar. The results of this study showed that it was common for the children to use the tablet in the preschool to take pictures and film and watch it afterwards and that the usage-time varied. I found that the teachers felt that the primary purpose was to follow the digital development and prepare the children for the future. I also discovered that the teachers wanted the children to continue using the tablet in the preschool Ljusstaden. In the future, the teachers wanted more education about how children can use the tablet in the best possible way.

No. of bitstreams: 0 / Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-21T16:22:52Z (GMT).

KOMMUNIKATION MELLAN PERSONAL OCH BRUKARE I DAGLIGA VERKSAMHETER : EN KVALITATIV STUDIE / COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STAFF AND USERS IN DAY CENTERS : A QUALITATIVE STUDYBengtsson, Jessica January 2021 (has links)
Examensarbete i handikapp ochrehabiliteringsvetenskap 15 högskolepoäng. / Bengtsson, J. Communication between staff and users in day centers - A qualitative study. Degree of Bachelor of Science with a Major in Disability and Rehabilitation Science 15 Credits. Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of social work, 2018. The purpose of this study has been to study communication between staff and users in day centers. How communication is promoted and what pedagogical tools are used in the promotion. It has been conducted with semi-structured interviews of staff from various day centers. Theoretical starting points used to analyze the material were social interactionism with a strong emphasis on social interaction, Goffman's dramaturgical perspective and social ties. The analysis and the results mostly highlight a lack of knowledge in communication. Staff express that they themselves are the main tools in the promotion of communication. Communication is mostly body language, facial expressions and relationship skills. Further research with pedagogical tools is highlighted when it includes adult individuals with a disability combined with a hearing impairment who have an LSS affiliation.

This study examines if theatre is a relevant tool for helping language students in the learning of the French language in Sweden. The theatre is considered and used as a dramatic and creative play for educational purposes, not for representational purposes. The aim of the study is to get an understanding of how theatre can be used in class by beginner students for learning French as a foreign language and comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Swedish educational plan of the National Directorate of Schools (Skolverket) : What learning skills and activities in a French class can theatre teaching correlate with? What learning possibilities and positive effects are noteworthy? The theoretical analysis is based mainly on C. Puren, A. Kazeroni, E.M. Rollinat-Levasseur, J.P. Cuq, I. Gruca and L. Vygotski. A small case study was carried out in situ which allow to report an experiment with Swedish-speaking beginners in French as a foreign language. The study is therefore deployed in theory and in practise to discuss the possibilities of learning the French language by the means of theatre on the target audience. The present results highlight positive effects on students. Learning by theatre is integrated into a theoretical and practical didactic perspective and makes it possible to develop the objectives of the different skills of the learner. Hence, the study identified that learning French as a foreign language through theatre for beginner learners in Sweden is relevant because it fits easily into the development of an educational project or a learning task from an action perspective and responds to the goals defined by the CEFR and the Swedish educational plan.

"What Does that Even Mean?" Improving Research Accessibility through the Creation and Application of a Tailored DictionaryTidwell, Allison Leigh, Abbate, Katherine, MSW, Lucier-Greer, Mallory, PhD 03 April 2020 (has links)
The scientist-practitioner model underscores the importance of effectively translating research into practice. However, family science research can be difficult for professionals and lay people alike to understand due to the use of scientific jargon. To narrow the gap between research publication and practice, the Military REACH team produced an eight-step process to create a dictionary of terms relevant to research and the military. This dictionary aids Military REACH’s target audiences (i.e., military families, helping professionals, and military leadership and policy makers) in comprehending complex terminology and, therefore, facilitates the understanding and implementation of research. To date, over 220 terms have been included in this online dictionary. Application of the eight-step method will also be discussed to facilitate the adaptation for other online dictionaries.

Programming in Comprehensive School : a Follow Up of the Government's Implementation of the Digitalization Strategy / Programmering i grundskolan : en uppföljning av regeringens implementation av digitaliseringsstrateginGustav, Landin January 2021 (has links)
The Swedish government decided in 2017 that Sweden should be the best country in theworld to use the benefits of digitalization, and concluded that education plays a hugerole in reaching their vision. From autumn semester 2022 text-based programming willbe a mandatory part (in mathematics, grade 7-9) in Sweden. Previous research showsthat many teachers feel uncomfortable teaching programming and that text-basedprogramming has a steep learning curve. This leads us to check if there are gaps to fillin the software provided for educational purposes available today. To get an overview ofthe current situation a survey using questionnaires was conducted. To what extent hadthe teachers used the tools and resources recommended by the Swedish NationalAgency for Education, to develop their skills within text-based programming? How didthe view differ for teachers on using complements to the tools and resources providedby the Swedish National Agency for education today, based on their characteristics?Very few teachers had used the available material and tools, or had the time needed todevelop their skills to feel comfortable teaching text-based programming. Most of theteachers within the survey would find complements to the material provided by theSwedish National Agency for Education useful.
