Multigenerational Cohorts, Gender, Experience, Technology and Voluntariness Effects on Efficiency and Productivity

White, Jason Larry 01 January 2019 (has links)
Since the beginning of the 2000s, unique challenges for a multigenerational workforce (MW) using different types of current technology (CT), informational and noninformational, at an increasing rate have surfaced. Necessary considerations were made among companies using these types of CT that changed frequently and influenced employee efficiency (EE) and organizational productivity (OP), leading to an under-identified impact on management decisions. The problem addressed in this study was the difficulty management had in managing work tasks and activities when CT was used in a MW. Most of the Baby Boomer generation will be retiring over the next decade, thus compromising and leaving a major gap in skills, experience, and talent. The purpose of this quantitative research study was to study the effects of multigenerational cohorts (MC), gender (GEN), CT, experience (EXP), and voluntariness of use (VU) (independent variables [IVs]), among a MW and their impact on EE and OP (dependent variables [DVs]). Two research questions were used that focused on the relationship between the IVs and DVs. Positivism was used as the theoretical framework. A convenience sampling approach was used to select participants. The participants were full-time employees between 23 and 71 years of age in the continental United States. Multiple and stepwise regression analyses was used to investigate the relationship between the IVs and the DVs. Results showed that only IVs type of CT and VU had a significant effect on EE and OP. These findings may contribute to positive social change by helping organizations create comprehensive and explicit business models of efficiency and productivity among a MW.

Neurolingvistinio programavimo diegimas paslaugas teikiančiose įmonėse / Neuro-linguistic programming installation in service companies

Fraimanaitė, Gerda 03 December 2010 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a system, methodology and approach that allow people to develop, communicate effectively and to achieve personal excellence. Service providing companies are valued for their ability to meet customers' needs, to establish and maintain communication with them. This thesis is - based on neuro-linguistic programming methodology for the efficient, practical applications for service providing companies. The work is divided into three parts, the first reveals theoretical level of neuro-linguistic programming techniques and their practical application for service providing companies. Second part assesses whether the services' employees use in their activities Neuro-linguistic Programming techniques, and clarifies areas of concern with which they faced. Third part of the work shows neuro-linguistic programming methodological applicability for designing a constructive influence over the enterprise. Evaluations of the results of a survey carried out on service enterprises, have shown that employees which are aware of NLP are more effective than those who not. Knowledge of NLP helps to be more confident in stressful situations and to use many techniques to adapt to the customer. Impactful Digital Transformation for Retail Employees : A Case Study / Effektfull digital transformation för butiksanställda

Aniansson, Amanda, Ebrahimi, Sarah January 2022 (has links)
The rapid growth of e-commerce and omnichannel retailing is redefining the role of brick-and-mortar stores. To remain competitive, retailers should leverage digital technologies without compromising the presence of frontline workers, to meet customer expectations. The purpose of the study is to address the lack of research investigating the effects of technologies being used by in-store employees and propose a digital approach for physical stores to strengthen their competitiveness. Therefore, this study looks into how smart devices can impact employee satisfaction and employee efficiency. Theory from the fields of Value Creation, Digital Transformation, Organisational Psychology and Management were used in a mono-method qualitative case study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect empirical data. The findings from the study show that smart devices used by in-store employees can positively impact employee satisfaction by improving communication, empowerment, teamwork, and meeting employees' expectations. Smart devices can also improve employee efficiency by enabling employees to deliver higher levels of customer service, store ambience, and productivity, using less resources than before. Further, important conditions required for value creation to take place were identified; a well-functioning infrastructure, technology acceptance, and considering network effects. Future research should conduct quantitative studies investigating to what extent smart devices can impact employee satisfaction and efficiency. To further build on this research, studies could investigate how the use of smart devices impact customer experience and employer branding. Lastly, research should investigate the opportunity smart devices provide for capturing data in an offline environment and how this adds the store's value proposition. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes i syfte att samla in empiriska data.
