Magistro darbo objektas – etinių gairių diegimas Lietuvos bibliotekose, pasirinktas dėl profesinės etikos problemų aktualumo bei vis didėjančios etikos reikšmės šiuolaikinėje visuomenėje. Darbo tikslas – atskleisti etikos reikšmę Lietuvos bibliotekų veikloje ir išanalizuoti, kaip bibliotekininkai suvokia etikos problemų svarbą. Naudojantis dokumentų ir duomenų analizės, sisteminimo metodais, bei atlikus empirinį tyrimą daromos išvados, kad iki šiol etikos diegimas bibliotekose nebuvo sistemingas procesas, o etikos diegimas nėra prioritetinis. / The subject matter of the Master’s Thesis is the implementation of guidelines for ethics in libraries of Lithuania. Such subject matter has been chosen because of the relevance of problems related to professional ethics and ever-increasing significance of ethics in modern society. The purpose of the Thesis is to disclose the meaning of ethics in activities of the Lithuanian libraries and to analyse the perception by librarians of the importance of ethics-related problems. The survey results have disclosed that the respondents, the largest number of whom is professionals with a long length of service, do not have an adequate perception of the importance and relevancy of professional ethics in their work.

Diplomová práce se zabývá potřebou uvědomění si nutnosti zavádění a dodržování etických kodexů a významem firemní kultury v moderní společnosti, zejména v ekonomické sféře ? tedy v podnicích a firmách, které jsou z velké části hlavní součástí života většiny lidí a mají tak rozhodující vliv na chování jednotlivce. S využitím konkrétního případu ? společnosti Whirlpool, jako jedné ze společností, které kladou velký důraz na etiku v podnikání a etické kodexy a se zmínkami o společnosti Hilti, která je organizací s jednou z nejsilnějších firemních kultur na světě ? se pokouší analyzovat důležitost nepsaných pravidel, jejich výhody a nevýhody v porovnání se zákony a právním řádem jako takovým. Cílem této práce je poskytnout vedení a zaměstnancům společnosti Whirlpool Česká republika (a nejen jim) praktický pohled na etiku a její význam a případně také poskytnout vhodné argumenty a odpovědi na otázky, které mohou při prosazování a uplatňování etického kodexu ve společnosti vyvstat. Vzhledem k existenci nadnárodně daného etického kodexu v této společnosti (Whirlpool Corporation Ethical Code) jsem shrnula výhody jeho úplného a vhodného využití také na lokální úrovni. Poukázala jsem na předsudek nevhodnosti etického kodexu v měřítku našeho státu, ale právě konkrétním rozborem jsem se ho pokusila vyvrátit.

The ethical principles of film restoration pose a complex problem which has never been satisfactorily resolved. In the past few decades, the situation has become even more complicated due to the advent of digital technologies that are capable of overcoming the limitations of the photographic medium on the one hand; on the other hand, the new possibilities highlighted the lack of widely accepted ethical principles that would set the film restoration process into a more general theoretical framework. This diploma thesis deals with the basic principles of restoration (authenticity, reversibility and transparency) and the possibility of their application in film restoration. At the same time, it considers the transformation of archiving and restoration practice in the digital age and focuses on some ethical issues emerging in connection with the spread of digital technologies in this field. The thesis, however, does not present an unequivocal solution to the problems that have been discussed for decades; rather, it suggests possible points of view on selected ethical principles and provides space for further analyses or discussions.

I chose the topic "euthanasia" because of its actuality, obscurity and complexity. There are many definitions, opinions, suggestions etc. concerning euthanasia. The main task of this work is explanation of the meaning of the term "euthanasia". In the theoretical part the work deals with the definition and forms of euthanasia. If possibilities of medical cure is exhausted, there are also lenitive and hospice care. That's why I deal with these topics too in my work. In the historical part of the work I study history of the problem: especially in Antiquity, in the Modernity, and in the time of Nazi Regime in Germany. In this context I considered the modern ethical theory -- utilitarianism and its main proponents. Very interesting and important question is the relationship of religion to the problem of euthanasia. That's why I studied some document of the Catholic Church concerning euthanasia. It is not possible to omit arguments of both defenders of euthanasia and its opponents. Very important chapter is legislation -- in Czech Republic and in some countries in Europe, where some experiences with euthanasia exist. The final part of the work is the discussion to the topic and especially one particular case.

Professional ethics in legal practice Key words: ETHICS, ADVOCACY, PROFESSIONAL ETHICS The primary subject of my diploma thesis is professional ethics related to carrying out advocacy in the Czech Republic and institutions related to the ethics of solicitors. The reason for my choice of the aforementioned subject is mainly my experience in a legal office, where I have encountered many positive and negative approaches to carrying out this profession, and also the public's interest in the ethics of advocacy, which is growing concurrently with the rising needs of citizens to use services by legal consultants and representatives. In the first chapter of my work I describe the key terms (ethics, morals, law), definition of which is fundamental for understanding the issue of professional ethics and I also outline the mutual relations between these terms. In the second chapter I briefly present the short but varied history of advocacy in the Czech Republic, which began in the 12th Century. The third chapter focuses on definition of the institute of professional ethics. The first part concerns professional ethics as a set of moral standards valid for a specific profession and the second part defines professional ethics in relation to carrying out advocacy. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na etické kodexy jako nástroj managementu pro zavádění norem podnikatelské etiky do podniku. Zabývá se dopady etického řízení podniku na jeho konkurenceschopnost a postavení na trhu a řeší vztah norem etických kodexů a práva. Cílem této práce je představení etických kodexů jako účinných prostředků pro řízení podniku a zvyšování jeho efektivity.

In my thesis I examine the actor's approach to his profession on several different levels: creation of the character during development of the production, individual and collective responsibility, and society's perception of the acting profession. To do this I used my own experience ? my time studying at The Academy of Performing Arts and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, and my work in DISK and professional theater.

This thesis provides a comprehensive view of the development and regulation of advertising messages only within its definition of marketing, but also with regard to the ethical and legal concepts. These concepts are at work made especially with regard to advertising self-regulation, with regard to the Code of Ethics advertising, and the regulations of public and private rights and to assist the understanding of the problems described in the work and serve as a tool for effective advertising in accordance with both the law and the ethics.
