Från Excel till Qt : Överföring av interface / Creating an Interface in Qt

Ett användarinterface i Excel kan återskapas på ett strukturerat sätt i Qt. Programmet Qt är lättanvänt för någon med programmeringserfarenhet, men svårt för andra. Qt finns som gratisversion och är baserat på programspråket C++. Tågföretaget Bombardier använder ett interface i Excel, men med nya versioner av programmet har problem uppstått. I detta projekt undersöks svårighetsgraden av Qt och delar av Excel-interfacet återskapas i Qt. Först skapades en design i Qt med bland annat tryckknappar, komboboxar och textfält. Sedan skrevs kod för designens funktion. Slutligen sammanfogades interfacets delar och testkördes.

MICROSTRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF EXCEL ALLOY PRESSURE TUBE MATERIAL

Microstructural characterization and mechanical properties of Excel (Zr-3.5%Sn-0.8%Mo-0.8%Nb), a dual phase αZr-hcp and βZr-bcc pressure tube material, is discussed in the current study which is presented in manuscript format. Chapter 3 discusses phase transformation temperatures using different techniques such as quantitative metallography, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and electrical resistivity. It was found that the αZr → αZr+βZr and αZr+βZr → βZr transformation temperatures are in the range of 600-690°C and 960-970°C respectively. Also it was observed that upon quenching from temperatures below ~860°C the martensitic transformation of βZr to –hcp is halted and instead the microstructure transforms into retained βZr with ω hexagonal precipitates inside βZr grains. Chapter 4 deals with aging response of Excel alloy. Precipitation hardening was observed in samples water-quenched from high in the αZr+βZr or βZr regions followed by aging. The optimum aging conditions were found to be 450°C for 1 hour. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed dispersion of fine precipitates (~10nm) inside the martensitic phase. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) showed the chemical composition of precipitates to be Zr-30wt%Mo-25wt%Nb-2wt%Fe. Electron crystallography using whole pattern symmetry of the convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED) patterns together with selected area diffraction (SAD) polycrystalline ring patterns, suggests the -6m2 point group for the precipitates belonging to hexagonal crystal structure, with a= 2.936 Å and c=4.481 Å, i.e. c/a =1.526. Crystallographic texture and high temperature tensile properties as well as creep-rupture properties of different microstructures are discussed in Chapter 5. Texture analysis showed that solution treatment high in the αZr+βZr or βZr regions followed by water quenching or air cooling results in a more random texture compared to typical pressure tube texture. Variant selection was observed upon water quenching while partial memory effect and some transformation texture with variant selection was observed in the air-cooled sample. The results of creep-rupture tests suggest that fully martensitic and aged microstructure has better creep properties at high stress levels (>700 MPa) while the microstructure from air cooling from high in the αZr+βZr region is less sensitive to stress and shows better creep properties compared to the as-received annealed microstructure at lower stresses (<560 MPa). / Thesis (Ph.D, Mechanical and Materials Engineering) -- Queen's University, 2012-08-23 16:22:45.395

USING EXCEL MACROS FOR CHARTING

These macros (as discussed here) import data from a ViaSat ACUs (Antenna Control Unit) and a TCS ACU (Telemetry & Communications Systems Inc). After the import is complete, the macros can build a set of charts, all formatted and labeled in a predetermined and standard manner. A task that may take half a day or more can be completed in minutes. The concept and layout of the macros lend them to quick adaptation to your data. In scenarios of “test and collect” followed by “import and chart”, the data can be imported and charted within the minute.

Una de las actividades que comprende la labor docente es sin duda la evaluación de los estudiantes, antes de abordar de lleno las posibilidades de Excel para el procesamiento y análisis de la información relacionada con la evaluación es necesario analizar algunos conceptos previos, considerando el enfoque de Francesc Martínez. La medición aplicada al aprendizaje tiene como pretensión básica tratar de cuantificar los atributos que están presentes en los estudiantes o los objetos relacionados con su desempeño y con ello objetivar los juicios valorativos respecto de los mismos. Con ello tratamos de hacer comparables a los estudiantes en relación a aquellos atributos que mencionados anteriormente.

En este caso se utilizó como herramienta fundamental el programa de computadora – Excel – el cual nos ayudó con la ejecución y enlaces de datos numéricos; tales como: generar una base de datos del plan contable, proveedores – clientes y del tipo de cambio dólar; generar un esquema de trabajo del sistema contable; generar los formatos de los registros de planilla, compras y ventas con sus respectivos resúmenes para el pase al libro diario; sistematizar la hoja de cálculo para los principales libros; automatizar la centralización de los libros auxiliares en el diario general, el pase al libro mayor, balance de comprobación y estados financieros básicos; todo esto con la finalidad de automatizarlos cuando sea necesario. This work aims to present the method of least squares as a way to find the line that best fits a set of points. For development of this research, it was decided to do a whole literature, allowing to make theoretical survey about some concepts and differential calculus demonstrations, analytical geometry on the straight and linear algebra, as yet, define the method of least squares and apply LSQ solution to resolve an impossible system in the usual sense. Also explored in this study using Excel software as a teaching support tool and its use in the classroom. We finish with a hint of an interdisciplinary lecture on the subject, which in turn, is in an accessible and clear language to the teacher. This class has been developed for teaching steps, in which the latter is performed using Excel software as an auxiliary tool. For a deeper attachment content, we enumerated the end of class several practical exercises. / Representar através de uma reta os dados de um experimento de modo que possa fazer inferências, possibilita,ao experimentar, elaborar hipóteses importantes sobre um determinado fenômeno. Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar o método dos Mínimos Quadrados como caminho para encontrar a reta que mais se ajusta a um conjunto de dados. Para o desenvolvimento desta investigação, optou-se por fazer uma pesquisa inteiramente bibliográfica, permitindo realizar um levantamento teórico acerca de alguns conceitos e demonstrações de Cálculo Diferencial, Geometria Analítica na Reta e Álgebra Linear, como ainda, definir o método dos mínimos quadrados e aplicar a solução LSQ na resolução de um sistema impossível no sentido usual. Também se explorou neste estudo o uso Software Excel como ferramenta de apoio didático e sua aplicabilidade em sala de aula. Finaliza-se com sugestão de aula interdisciplinar sobre o tema, que por sua vez, está em uma linguagem acessível e clara ao professor. Essa aula foi desenvolvida em etapas didáticas, na qual a última, utiliza-se o Software Excel como ferramenta auxiliar. Na perspectiva de uma fixação mais profunda do conteúdo, enumeramos ao final da aula,vários exercícios de aplicação.

Byggbranschen anses ofta som långsam, dyr och ineffektiv, vilket skapar möjligheter till förbättring. Denna uppsats angriper projekteringsskedet då konstruktionsritningar skapas. Dimensionering av stålanslutningar kan upplevas som en komplicerad och lång process, speciellt vid handberäkning Det lämnar utrymme för effektivisering som på så sätt sparar både tid och pengar. Uppsatsen avgränsas till stålanslutningen stånginfästning som är vanligt förekommande i fackverkskonstruktioner av olika slag. Exempel på sådana konstruktioner är fackverkstakstolar, fackverksbroar samt vid stagning av andra konstruktioner med hänsyn till vippning och knäckning. En genomgång av dimensioneringsgången har gjorts och exempeluppgifter har skapats för att kunna tillämpa kunskaperna. Därefter programmerades samma dimensioneringsgång i Excel för att undersöka vilka möjligheter till effektivisering som finns med programvaran. En avgörande faktor till knutpunktens kapacitet uppmärksammades. Knutpunktens kapacitet beror till stor del av stängernas utformning i förhållande till varandra. Vidare observerades goda dimensioneringsmöjligheter i Excel där kontroller och dimensionering av alla möjliga stålprofiler utförs på ett ögonblick. Dessutom ges en visuell överblick av möjliga alternativ hållfasthetsmässigt men också ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv. Stålprofilerna ställs mot varandra i grafer för att på så sätt förenkla valet av profil. Då fråga om tillgänglighet eller behov av anpassad redovisning av dimensioneringsberäkningar är aktuellt rekommenderas Excel.
