The recent worldwide economic crisis, climate change and global warming have emphasized that the need for low carbon emissions while also ensuring the economic feasibility. In this paper, wind power potential of ETD in KTH was investigated. The technical and economical feasibility of tower mounted small scale standalone wind turbine installation is conducted. The potential of wind power production was statistically analysed. The average wind speed data of four-season interval of one year period (2011) which its measurement was taken on the roof top of the ETDB, and this was adopted and analysed in order to find out the potential of wind power generation. The Rayleigh distribution probability was applied to calculate the wind speed distribution at KTH, by doing so the annual wind power potential at the area and annual energy production of the chosen wind turbine was estimated, after the selection of a proper wind turbine have been made upon the site conditions. Therefore, the study result shows that installation of the wind turbine at 24 meters hub height for this particular area will have a better performance of annual energy production, capacity factor, carbon savings and better economical value than the current turbine installed at 17 meters height at the ETD. The economic evaluation shows that the turbine can save an electricity bill of US$3661.05 per year and cover 1.84% of the electricity consumption of the ETD by reducing its respective CO2 emission from the electricity use at the department. Moreover, the payback period of the turbine installation with the inclusion of the green certificate is approximately 14 years which is more feasible if it is considered for small wind turbines too, which is already in practice for renewables including wind power in Sweden.

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic efficiency of a development project. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the basic concepts in the field of development activities, defines the phases of the project life cycle and the feasibility study. It describes the creation of cash flows, indicators of economic efficiency and possible ways of financing development projects. Furthermore, an analysis of the current economic situation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on development companies is performed in this section. The practical part is devoted to the development project, especially the creation of cash flows and the resulting evaluation of the economic efficiency of the project. This is the construction of three apartment buildings in Pardubice.

A feasibility study is a technical-economic study, an essential tool for investment decisions. The study aims to provide technical, economic, financial and management information qualified for investment decisions. The theoretical section summarizes the purpose, process and structure of individual chapters of the feasibility study including cost-benefit analysis. In the practical part of the feasibility study is designed public project model and its alternative financing option by the grant program of the European Union.

The aim of this work is the explanation of the issue of passive houses and renovation of existing buildings to passive energy standard. Another task of the work is a feasibility study of building renovation of the "Tuzex" for the needs of Center of sustainable construction in Brno. Part of this study is to create a marketing analysis, design of organizational project management, a description of technical solution, impact assessment project on the environment and in particular evaluating the economic efficiency of investment. The result of this work is to evaluate the feasibility of the project under current conditions.

Dissertation titled Optimization of the process from the perspektive of the public project sponsor indicates the procurement process both through public procurement, and primarily through PPP (Public Private Partnership). The main objective is to optimize the procurement process by PPP from the perspective of the owner. Therefore, under the general statutes of the Ministry of Finance is processed general process and design methodology for assessing the project within municipalities. This model is then verified in the context of case study in a specific project.

Проанализирована территория расположения рассматриваемого земельного участка, рассмотрен мировой опыт создания объектов для IT-индустрии, сформирована концепция развития территории на основе разработанного мастер-плана. Сформирован бюджет проекта, рассчитаны показатели экономической эффективности проекта. В заключении сформулированы основные выводы и обобщены результаты исследования. / The master's thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a bibliography, and appendices. The work considers a financial and economic project to create a complex of facilities for an IT-company in the village of Patrushi (Sysert urban district, Sverdlovsk region). The location of the site has been analyzed, international experience in creating facilities for the IT-industry has been considered, a concept of territory development on the basis of the master plan has been formed. The budget of the project was formed and the indicators of economic efficiency of the project were calculated. The conclusion formulates the main conclusions and summarizes the results of the study.

Проанализирована территория расположения рассматриваемого объекта, рассмотрены smart-технологии, применяемые в сфере спорта и разработаны концепция и финансово-экономическая модель проекта по созданию ледового комплекса с применением механизма государственно-частного партнерства при финансировании проекта. Сформирован бюджет проекта, рассчитаны интегральные показатели экономической эффективности проекта. В заключении сформулированы основные выводы и обобщены результаты исследования. / The Master's thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a bibliographic list and appendices. The paper considers the rationale for the financial and economic project of creating an ice palace using smart technologies in the city of Zarechny, Sverdlovsk region. The territory of the location of the object under consideration is analyzed, smart technologies used in the field of sports are considered, and the concept and financial and economic model of the project for the creation of an ice complex using the mechanism of public-private partnership in financing the project are developed. The project budget has been formed, integral indicators of the economic efficiency of the project have been calculated. In conclusion, the main conclusions are formulated and the results of the study are summarized.

För att nå framgångsrika offentliga upphandlingar inom exempelvis IT är det viktigt att förbereda upphandlingsprocessen genom att planera resurser, kartlägga och analysera behov, marknad och risker (Upphandlingsmyndigheten, u.å.). En litteraturstudie på området visar att UX designers roll i upphandlingsprocesser är otydligt beskriven. Istället har fokus traditionellt sett handlat om användbarhet inom it-produkter, och ansvariga för användarcentrerade designansatser har systemleverantören varit. Lite eller inget ansvar för användarnas behov har legat på den offentliga organisationen. Men litteraturen visar även att upphandlaren bör vara aktiv genom en användarcentrerad designprocess både i kravställningen och genom hela projektet för att nå lyckade offentliga upphandlingar. För att undersöka hur UX designers arbetar i offentliga upphandlingsprocesser idag har följande frågeställningar besvarats: 1. Vilken roll och vilket inflytande har UX designers på upphandlingsprocessen i offentliga upphandlingar idag? 2. Vad karaktäriserar UX designers arbete på anbudsgivarsidan respektive anbudstagarsidan i upphandlingsprocessen för offentliga organisationer? Resultatet från en intervjustudie och en dokumentgranskning visar att UX designers har en tydlig roll på båda sidor om upphandlingsförfarandet. Inflytandet på upphandlingssidan var stort men begränsat till val av lösningsförslag på anbudstagarsidan. Att se över arbetsprocesser i grunden, se till användarnas behov, kravställa efter funktion och behov istället för tekniska krav och vikten av tydlig kommunikation var det som karaktäriserade UXdesigners arbete på båda sidor om upphandlingsprocessen. / To reach successful public procurements in the IT area it’s important to prepare the procurement process by planning resources, to map out and analyze needs, markets and risks (Upphandlingsmyndigheten, u.å.). A study of the literature in the area shows that the role of the UX designer is vaguely described. Instead the focus has traditionally been on usability in IT products and those responsible for user-centered design approaches have been the system suppliers. Some or none of the responsibility for the user needs has belonged to the public organization. But the literature also shows that the procurer needs to be active through a user-centered design process both in the requirements phase and throughout the entire project to reach successful public procurements. To explore how UX designers work in public procurement processes today the following framing of questions have been answered: ● What role and what kind of impact have UX designers on the procurement process inpublic procurements today? ● What characterizes the work of UX designers on the procurer’s side respectively the tenderer's side in the procurement process for public organizations? The results of an interview study and a document review shows that UX designers have a clear role on both sides of the procurement procedure. The impact on the procurer side was great but limited to the choice of solution proposals on the tenderer side. Fundamentally reviewing work processes, looking after the needs of the users, setting requirements according to function and needs instead of technical requirements and the importance of clear communication were what characterized the work of UX designers on both sides of the procurement process.
