The purpose of this research aims investigate whether front line personell are brand carriers who can affect the customers brand experience. This present study focuses on commercial fitness centers in Kalmar. Like brands, training is taking part in people’s everyday lives; fitness centers are offering the customer a wider range of group training. This thesis is based on a qualitative approach whereby eight interviews have been carried out with two members of the board and six employees of the front line. Additionally, this thesis is also based on three focus groups with four customers, representing the majority of each fitness centers. The research findings highlight that the front line employees are very important as they are seen as the brand; therefore the front line employee’s personality and behaviour will influence the customer’s view of the brand. The knowledge of the front line employee’s is crucial and it is of high importance. Communication between the board and the front line employees are important and the board needs to make sure that all information is provided.

The author applied marketing research methods in order to propose recommendations to improve quality of services and increase customer satisfaction of surveyed fitness centers in Prague. The first part of this thesis is devoted to describing and analyzing the fitness industry in Europe and the Czech Republic. Subsequently, the methodological part explains in detail the chosen methodology of research and customer satisfaction survey, along with the description of the structure of the questionnaire. The practical part presents surveyed fitness centers, along with the marketing research, whose results are analyzed in detail and subsequently included in the SWOT analysis. At the end of this thesis suggestions and recommendations will be work out based on the results of the research project for possible improvements that can fitness centers take into account and incorporate them into their current business strategy.

The first theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to the field of business and legal forms, principles and structure of the business plan, especially the analytical research methods used in planning. The analytical part includes analysis of the business environment for the validation of the idea and mapping of the market and general environment. Subsequently, a suitable strategy is chosen for the start-up in this area, which is elaborated into individual parts of the business plan so that it is feasible and viable.

Title: Competition of fitness centres in the Prague - West and loyalty of their customers Objective: The objective of the thesis is to analyse competitive environment using the marketing mix of selected fitness centres in a competitive environment of Prague - West and to examine customer's loyalty with regards to these sport centres. Results of marketing research will be the main part of competitiveness analysis in this area and will serve as a basis for suggestions and possible improvements of these fitness centres. Methods: PEST analysis SWOT analysis Porters five forces analysis Marketing research - qualitative method - in-depth interview - quantitative method - questionnaires Results: The results of the research confirm that the competitive environment of Prague - West is quite intense and is divided into several smaller competitive groups in accordance with the transport infrastrusture. Individual fitness center see their biggest competitors in the immediate neighborhood (within approximately 10 km). For customers in this area, the price and availability, from which the customer loyalty is built, are especially important. Title: Service quality of Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská in comparison with a competitor Objectives: The main aim of this master's thesis is to measure a level of customer satisfaction with services provided by Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská, to analyse the customer's opinion and to reveal possible gaps in services offered by this sports centre. In case of necessity to suggest the measures leading to improvement of this quality of services and consequent increase in customer satisfaction. The partial purpose is the comparison of customer satisfaction of Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská with the competitor. Methods: A quantitative research, specifically a written questionnaire SERVQUAL, handed out to customers of the sports centre, was used to obtain information from respondents. This questionnaire examines and compares expected quality of the provided service, i.e. the quality that is expected by customers in an ideal fitness centre, with the real level of perceived service quality provided by Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská. Results: This survey of satisfaction among customers with the service provided by Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská has shown a high level of clients satisfaction, more satisfying than results of surveyed competitor. Title: Options affect muscle hypertrophy in men age 20 25 years in the fitness centre. Method: Laboratory evaluation of body composition (bioelectric Impedance Analysis) and anthropometric measurement of muscle mass. Results: H1 Volumetric training significantly increased body weight, H2, passing the volume of training significantly increased muscle groups of districts reporting, H3 After completing training, the volume change of FM and FFM in the same order of magnitude ratio - 2:1. H4 After completing the training volume ratio of ECM:BCM linear placements the same as during the initial measurement). The proposed program increased the total weight of 8.9 kg. Similarly, the districts reporting increased body parts. Expected FM:FFM was higher than expected. H1, H2 and H4 is confirmed. Leisure centre should provide its services to wide spectrum of visitors. Those activities does not have to be undertaken just in the building itself, but the idea to develop and utilize for those purposes the public space around it is suggesting itself. The centre is offering the activities for people of all age categories. It can provide the leisure function and also both educational and commercial function. In this spirit the inner space of the object is divided. The basic principle is to group together the three masses according to their most important functions, which are located in the object.

The topic of this thesis is the processing documentation of a fitness center with another establishment of wellness and coffehouse. Building is situated on a sloping terrain in Odry. It's a public services. The building has two above-ground floors and one basement. The loadbearing structure is of cast-in-place concrete frame. The building is insulated by contact insulating system ETICS. Roofing is of flat roof. On the land is designed park with 15 spaces directly accessible from the driveway.

Project's goal is to test the large buildings' design options in regards to permanently sustainable construction. The author's aim is to design energy efficient multipurpose building, with minimal negative effects on environment. The positive impact on environment is visible on the preference of natural materials used in construction. External constructions of thermal conductivity coefficient at the level of passive standard are designed using objects of renewable energy. The location in Brno has been chosen for the proposed building, specifically the location known as brownfields. Lot is accessible from the street of Jan Babak, where public transport is available. The shape of the lot is in the form of incomplete oval with internal open atrium. The administrative part of the building takes half of the area with the rest of the area being used for other businesses, such as fitness centre and restaurant. Garages are proposed to be located underneath the main building, which is built on rigid structure. This rigid structure is a steel skeleton one with linked ceilings. The foundation of building is on stilt. The roof is of a flat type with variable slope, its structure and slope are of metal construction. Claddings are designed in the form of wooden structure filled with straw bales, the exterior is thermally insulated using fibreboard thermal insulation. Inner tract facade is proposed to be panelled with wooden planks. Photovoltaic panels will be placed both from the south and southeast of the outer oval. The rest of the facade will be panelled with grate for creepers. Only environment-friendly sources of energy are considered for the proposed building. Heating and cooling is based on the heat pump air-water system; using the rainwater as an example of renewing natural energy.
