Primeiras imagens: Pierre Verger entre burgueses e infrequentáveis / First images: Pierre Verger between bourgeois and \'not recommended\' friends

Rolim, Iara Cecília Pimentel 18 August 2009 (has links)
This doctoral (PhD) thesis is focused on Pierre Vergers life trajectory and searchs to analyse his integration in the photography world. Standing out the beginning of his career this work puts emphasis on a time not much knowing of the photographer life and for this the reasearch has privileged the understanding of Pierre Vergers relations with the core family, with the relations among the group of artists who were his friends and with the market demands. The family provides him the first entrance in the images world throughout his father business. Verger had some restrictions referring to the social obligations that the family status demanded from him in the bourgeoisie society. Verger had settled several contacts when he joined to the not recommended friends who lived in a different way which Verger was accostumed. He settled work groups and travels which had as result his initiation as a photographer. Photography market was in great increase in the between-wars period and had imposed so much competitions and disputes as also the wishing for some subjects which became photographal and, in this way, the images when didnt come from individual projetcs were, more often, produced according to some orders from customers: press, publicity, fashion and book publishers. Among the wish of releasing from the bourgeoisie family, his participation to the not recommended groups of friends and the market demands, Verger had found a path to stand out as profissional throughout the documental and humanist photography production, 14 years before his arrival to Brazil.

Lycées en ville, villes au lycée. Les lycées innovants des villes nouvelles de la région parisienne au cours des années 1970 / High schools in city, cities in high school. Innovative high schools new towns in the Paris region in the 1970s

Zenouda, Sylvie 27 June 2013 (has links)
After a massive and industrialized period of school construction in France since the early 1960s, the architectural monotony and poor quality frames are challenged, circa 1970, while in new cities, developers are looking for different constructions or copies. The challenge is part of the binding administrative and budgetary framework of the Sixth Plan (1971-1975), but also a part of architectural research related to educational reform efforts. The first three schools built in new towns in the Paris region - in 1973, the integrated high school of les Sept Mares in Elancourt-Maurepas, in St-Quentin-en-Yvelines, in 1975, the high school of Parc des Loges with fitted out spaces, in Evry, in 1978 the high school Alfred Kastler, in Cergy-Pontoise, in front of the district prefecture - are breakthroughs in a renewed design school spaces. Particular attention is paid to the socio-cultural sector, the opening on the environment and the link between the city and the high school, promising project of social utopia in the Sept Mares, from 1975 to the late 1980s.

Faulkner na França : uma análise dos prefácios escritos às traduções dos livros de William Faulkner publicadas na França nos anos 30 / Faulkner in France : an analysis of the prefaces to William Faulkner's translated books published in France during the 1930's

Mariano, Fábio Roberto, 1989- 27 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Eric Mitchell Sabinson / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-27T20:21:09Z (GMT). Por fim, o terceiro capítulo é um movimento de interpretação dos prefácios à luz da análise feita no primeiro capítulo / Abstract: The present dissertation aims at an understanding of the reader response to Faulkner in France. It is based both on a study of the mentioned prefaces and on an attempt to describe the literary and critical standards of the time. The main point here is not exactly a critical reading of the author's work in itself, but an effort of organizing earlier readings. This study is closed by a hypothesis about Faulkner's specific appeal to French readers. Five out of the six of Faulkner's books published during that time are prefaced, all of them by Frenchmen: translators Maurice-Edgar Coindreau and René-Noël Raimbault, literary critic and writer Valery Larbaud and politician, journalist and novelist André Malraux. A detailed analysis of these prefaces may be an effective strategy to establish a connection between Faulkner's work and the French cultural environment in which he is read. In order to effectively make such a connection, this dissertation has been divided in three parts, each of which corresponds to one of its chapters. In the first one, the literary and historical context of France is analyzed. In the second, a close reading of each of the prefaces is made, taking into account not only their words and references, but also their authors. In the third and last chapter, the prefaces are interpreted according to what had been exposed in the first chapter / Mestrado / Historia e Historiografia Literaria / Mestre em Teoria e História Literária
