The economical globalization has led the region economic cooperation development. In 2002 Euro was released, the European integration is being made an epoch . US and Canada, Mexico have set up the North America free trade area in 1994, and it will start the Free Trade Area of the Americas negotiations. Under this background, this thesis set out the cooperation between China and ASEAN with the approach New-functionalism. This thesis divides into six chapters to study the cooperation between China and ASEAN cooperate of economic cooperation with the China, the first chapter is an introduction, in the second chapter Neo-functionalism will be explored . In the third chapter, the modernization of China, the evolution of ASEAN and subsquentlly the motive of cooperation from both of them are the major point to be analyzed. Last but certainly not least, whether the Neo-functionalism can be applied to explore the case of the PRC-ASEAN free trade area, will be comprehensively analyzed.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Os estudos sobre a ocupação e os espaços de fronteiras são objeto de discussão na academia pela economia, geografia, política, envolvendo as relações transfronteiriças entre culturas e identidades diferentes. O Brasil mantém com os países limítrofes de suas fronteiras, relações cordiais, legalizadas por acordos internacionais de comércio, ciência e tecnologia. Com base nestas fronteiras brasileiras, lançou-se o Programa de Desenvolvimento das Faixas de Fronteiras, que abrange os 588 municípios brasileiros. Para este trabalho dissertativo, escolheu-se a análise da política pública do estado nacional para a Amazônia Ocidental das Áreas de Livre Comércio ALC, com o estudo de caso da ALC de Bonfim (BR) e Lethem (GY). A partir da hipótese levantada que serviu de orientação para a pesquisa, inferiu-se que a política brasileira de desenvolvimento de sua faixa de fronteira com a República Cooperativista da Guiana se caracterizou pelo hermetismo, apesar da retórica oficial do governo federal sinalizar no sentido da integração regional sul-americana. Desta forma, o objetivo geral do trabalho, foi direcionado para analisar o modelo nacional de desenvolvimento da fronteira com a Guiana, com a revisão do conceito de fronteira à luz da geopolítica e das teorias da integração nacional; examinar os principais vetores de formação ao longo da história dos atuais territórios que compõem a faixa de fronteira do Brasil e analisar a política nacional do governo brasileiro tendo em vista o desenvolvimento das fronteiras do Brasil com a Guiana. Como metodologia, utilizou-se de uma revisão bibliográfica e documental, além do estudo de caso da ALC de Bonfim. Foram utilizados como norteadores para o trabalho, os documentos oficias do Ministério da Integração Nacional, Proposta de Reestruturação do Programa de Desenvolvimento da Faixa de Fronteira e Bases para uma Proposta de Desenvolvimento e Integração da Faixa de Fronteira.

The advent of trade in services theory has been a developing research topic since 1980, where various factors are in place to determine trade flows and the impact of regulatory frameworks and policies. Services trade is an important contributing factor towards economic objectives and continues to drive development. With growth in services trade across the globe there is increased value in understanding the impact of the services sector on the African continent. The evolving reliance on services towards globalisation in low-income economies is proven to contribute significantly to gross domestic product. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement was instituted to integrate economies by creating ease of access for the intra-trade of goods and services across the continent. This study aimed to explore the impact of the AfCFTA agreement on a regional financial services provider. The research followed a semi-structured interview methodology, which measured and tested the impact of the agreement on trade in services for this qualitative study. The results indicated that the service provider would adopt the AfCFTA agreement’s requirements in the expansion of its operations, to establish services across the continent. The goal of the thesis "New phenomena in the relations between the EU and Australia New Zealand at the beginning of the third millennium" is to analyze mutual trade and economic relations in the context of new phenomena in regionalism, represented here mostly by bi-regionalism and trans-regionalism. The first part of the thesis characterizes economic positions of EU, Australia and New Zealand in the global economy and emphasizes their historical and societal ties. The second part of the thesis elaborates on the development of mutual relations between the EU Australia and EU New Zealand. In particular it sums up the process of deepening of their cooperation up to the current association of equal partners. This is illustrated by existing legal basis of the relations and the current trade exchange data. The focal point of the thesis is the possibility of further intensification of mutual cooperation, especially through conclusion of a preferential agreement that would remove remaining trade barriers between the EU and Australia New Zealand. In the context of the new phenomena in regionalism, any type of preferential agreement would have potential to foster their relationships as well as bring positive impact to process of multilateral liberalization. The issue of preferential agreement is therefore considered in the light of the steadily rising importance of the Asia-Pacific region. While Australia and New Zealand have concluded an agreement on a free trade zone with ASEAN, negotiations with the EU have been suspended. The thesis confirms one of its main hypothesis, marking their different approaches to agricultural policy as the main obstacle to concluding of a free trade agreement between the EU and Australia New Zealand. Based on the findings, the thesis concludes by outlining several scenarios of possible future development of mutual relations and their positive and negative aspects.
