The Meaning And The Morality Of Suicide

The aim of this study is to examine the meaning and the morality of suicide through the history of philosophy. To this aim, firstly, the historical evaluation of the concept of suicide is explained in detail. The effects of sociological and the religious transformations on the meaning of suicide are analyzed. Afterwards, the moral theories about suicide are discussed. The anti-suicide arguments about suicide in the history of philosophy are classified under three parts mainly. These anti-suicide arguments &mdash / that suicide is a violation of our duties to God, to the society and to the self &mdash / are handled and explained in detail with their counter arguments. Then, the problem of the permissibility of suicide is analyzed and whether suicide is morally permitted under some conditions or it is absolutely forbidden is discussed. Next, the philosophical meaning of suicide in literature is investigated by analyzing the meanings that are given to suicide by Dante iv and Dostoevsky. In the conclusion, a brief summary is given, and the moral theories about suicide are criticized. ,

The present work proposes to demonstrate the modifications that occurred on the society over the years that followed after the promulgation of the Brazilian Code of Consumer Protection. The proposal of this dissertation is to debate the rights repentance and the possibility of an extension on his field’s incidence, extending it to beyond the shops made out of the business establishment. On this purport, means that facing the positioning jurisprudential exists the possibility of the field’s of the right repentance extension for the classroom shops, what has already been made, for example on the time sharing shops. / Dentre os direitos do consumidor destaca-se a importância do direito de arrependimento como instrumento de proteção à manifestação de vontade do consumidor. O presente trabalho propõe-se a demonstrar as modificações que ocorreram na sociedade ao longo dos anos que se seguiram após a promulgação do Código brasileiro de Defesa do Consumidor. A proposta desta dissertação é o debate do direito de arrependimento e a possibilidade de ampliação do seu campo de incidência, estendendo-o para além das compras realizadas fora do estabelecimento comercial. Assim sendo, entende-se diante dos posicionamentos jurisprudenciais que existe a possibilidade de ampliação do direito de arrependimento para as compras presenciais, o que já vem sendo feito, por exemplo, nas compras de time sharing.

The paper thematizes the concept of science in mid- and late thinking of Friedrich Nietzsche in the context of his understanding of scientific cognition of both: human and its world. The study introduces the problem of science and cognition in general in connection with significant motives of Nietzsche's thinking: morality, the revaluation of all values, thinking and living "beyond good and evil", freedom, human body, the superhuman motive, ascetic ideals, and more. Emphasis is put on the problem of veracity in the context of Nietzsche's attitude to idealism.
