Tradicionalmente, essa instituição realiza a guarda de acervos considerados valiosos para a sociedade, seja pelos documentos em si ou pela importância de quem os reuniu. O acervo bibliográfico, guardado no Serviço de Biblioteca da FCRB, é constituído por diversos tipos de documentos, entre os quais os folhetos de cordel, que serão tratados neste trabalho. Esses constituem rica fonte de informação, com linguagem acessível e popular, o que permite seu acesso tanto pelo público como pelos acadêmicos, desde seu desenvolvimento no Brasil até os dias atuais. Como objetivo, esse trabalho busca estudar o mencionado acervo, que corresponde ao material digital mais consultado no Serviço de Biblioteca, visando recuperar sua trajetória, organização e divulgação. Para o alcance do mesmo, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas com autores na área de cordel, assim como se recorreu às obras publicadas pela própria FCRB. Também foram feitas entrevistas com estudiosos relacionados ao cordel e à instituição, assim como algumas consultas ao seu arquivo institucional. Com a conclusão deste trabalho, pretende-se apresentar à comunidade uma evocação da memória da literatura de cordel na FCRB, a qual não apresenta organização definida. Por fim, é exibida a lista de apresentações realizadas com base nesta pesquisa. Como produtos da dissertação, são encontradas a linha do tempo referente ao que ocorreu envolvendo esse tema na instituição, além de dois quadros resumindo as publicações e eventos de cordel realizados pela FCRB. / The Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa (FCRB) expresses in its mission its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of brazilian cultural memory. Traditionally, this institution keeps the collections considered valuable for society, either by the documents themselves or by the importance of who gathered them. The bibliographic collection, stored in the Serviço de Biblioteca of the FCRB, is constituted by several types of documents, among them the cordel leaflets, that will be treated in this work. These constitute a rich source of information, with accessible and popular language, which allows its access both by the public and by academics, from its development in Brazil to the present day. As an objective, this work seeks to study the aforementioned collection, which corresponds to the most consulted digital material in the Library Service, aiming to recover its trajectory, organization and dissemination. In order to reach it, bibliographical researches were carried out with authors in the cordel area, as well as using the works published by the FCRB itself. There were also interviews with cordel and institution scholars, as well as some consultations with the FCRB institutional archive. With the conclusion of this work, it is intended to present to the community an evocation of the memory of cordel literature in the FCRB, which has no defined organization. Finally, the list of presentations made based on this search is displayed. As a result of the dissertation, are founded the time line related to what happened with this theme in the institution, as well as two tables summarizing the publications and events held by the FCRB.

Ao ser institucionalizada como lugar de memória, deixou de ser residência de um homem público e passou a ser um bem, uma referência à sociedade e a nação. Uma casa que deve ser preservada, não por ser um exemplar arquitetônico de sua época, mas por ser um marco histórico, um monumento, local onde deve ser reverenciada a presença de seu proprietário, para que não caia no esquecimento coletivo seus feitos e saberes. Sabemos que a função principal de uma Casa Museu é, através da narrativa histórica do patrimônio material e imaterial, criar uma ambientação crível que levará o visitante a compartilhar a vivência de seu personagem símbolo, adquirindo conhecimento. Partindo desse principio vamos delinear quais são os caminhos utilizados para nortear a montagem de uma casa museu, nos inserindo em um universo multidisciplinar em busca do embasamento necessário a sua museografia. Pois reforçando igualdades e diferenças, somos responsáveis por tecer a teia que vai reforçar a presença do personagem símbolo, na história e memória de nosso país. Personagem digno de ser destacado, homenageado, um mito a ser reverenciado. / Abstract: We will study The Rui Barbosa museum at in Rio de Janeiro. The place where Rui and his family lived for twenty eight years and after his death in 1923, was transformed into a museum by the Brazilian government. At the moment it was institutionalized as a place of memory, it ceased to be a place of residence and became a reference for society and nation. The house should be preserved, not as an architectural example of its time, but as a historical mark, a monument, a place which should be reverenced for its former proprietor's presence, so it doesn't became a forgotten mark of his work and life. We know that the main function of a museum is, through the historical narrative of the material and immaterial patrimony, to create a believable environment for the visitor to share the existence of the symbol character while acquiring knowledge. Through this principal we will demonstrate the fundamental structure of a residence museum, using a multidisciplinary strategy. In reinforce similarities and differences, we carry responsibility to enforce the presence of the symbol character in the history and memory of our country. In our approach the commemorative exhibitions in tribute to Rui Barbosa with his personal papers and institutional records were the object of the research. / Este trabalho pretende examinar como as exposições fotográficas produzidas pela Casa Rui Barbosa em torno da figura de Rui Barbosa construíram, a partir do final da década de 1940, uma memória sobre a vida e a obra desse importante personagem da história brasileira. Essa investigação pretende demonstrar a importância dos acervos privados e públicos na construção contínua do patrimônio cultural e da memória do país.
