In early 60-ies of XX th century the computer is born and begin to inculcate in various range of life. Text data have been changed into digital databases. In late nineties computers becomes concurrent with our daily life. In year of 2001 government begins to fund computerizing of secondary schools in Lithuania. According, to analysis of situation in secondary schools computerization, we can admit that the level of computerization is high. Situation with geography computerization is quite comfortable too. It is good situation to begin apply GIS to secondary education. In year of 2002 a document of “Geography education standards for secondary schools” was realized, and GIS, as a part of geography, has his place in this document. Talking about textbooks of geography, it is only one of them that includes information about GIS (prepared by David Waugh), but considering to geography standards, to form informational skills of students, information about GIS in this textbook is insufficient. Looking for information about GIS we regarded of qualitative information standards, that is set by Education evolutionary centre. Information about GIS is divined into several rubric, they are: definition of GIS, history and birth of GIS, shape of data used in GIS, usage of GIS in modern world. GIS panaudojimas dviračių trasų ženklinimui / GIS application for marking of cycle paths

The main target of the master thesis “GIS application for marking of cycle paths” is to investigate the opportunities of cycle tourism in Lithuania, and to mark the cycle tour route and cycle route as technical design using GIS technology. The cycle route designing principles, marking possibilities In Lithuania and abroad, also cycle rout designs and cyclists flows are analyzed while estimating the opportunities of cycling tourism. Basing on the collected data and the implemented pools,, the GIS sub-system of the cycle tour rout, and its’ development technology is described. Such information would be useful for the cyclists while planning the tour rout and during the tour, however such system would be even more useful if there would be more marked and classified cycle paths. After creating the common Lithuanian cycle paths database we could gather and propose an information on the cycle tourism possibilities to the cyclists, which could benefit further development of tourism in Lithuania. The Dzukija cycle route technical design data were used during development of GIS subsystem of cycle paths. Herefore the rout were marked by hands. The developed GIS subsystem allows wider information appliance. The work consists of 76 pages, 16 tables, 43 pictures, 5 annexes, 29 sources.

Programinės įrangos ir informacinių sistemų priežiūra didelėje organizacijoje / Software and information systems maintenance in organization

Programinės įrangos (PĮ) ir Informacinių sistemų (IS) priežiūros etapas yra paskutinioji sistemos gyvavimo ciklo dalis. Priežiūros sąvoka apima visas veiklas, vykdomas po produkto įdiegimo organizacijoje, o tai sudaro apie 70 % programų gyvavimo ciklo išlaidų. Nuolat kintanti aplinka įtakoja ir sistemos kaitą. Todėl būtina nuolatinė PĮ ir IS priežiūra. Kuriami įvairūs PĮ ir IS priežiūros metodai ir technikos, kurie yra plačiai analizuojami užsienio mokslinėje literatūroje ir taikomi praktiškai. Tačiau Lietuvoje dar tik pradėjo vystytis priežiūros teikimo paslaugos ir keistis požiūris į šį procesą. Nors užsienio mokslinėje literatūroje atkreipiamas dėmesys ir į Geografinių informacinių sistemų (GIS) priežiūros procesus, tačiau tai vis dar mažai išanalizuota sritis. Todėl, šiame darbe pasirinkta kryptinė tyrimo šaka GIS priežiūra ir duomenų valdymas. Darbo tikslas išanalizuoti visus siūlomus priežiūros proceso metodus ir technikas, skirtumus ir panašumus. Siekiama nustatyti, ar teoriniai metodai plačiai taikomi praktikoje. Empiriniam tyrimui atlikti naudotas anketinės apklausos metodas. Siekiama nustatyti vartotojų požiūrį į PĮ ir IS priežiūros kokybę. Apklausos rezultatai išsamiai analizuojami, pateikiamos išvados bei pasiūlymai tolimesnės PĮ ir IS priežiūros strategijai. / Software and information system (IS) maintenance is a rest phase of system life cycle. Maintenance involves about 70 % of all life cycle resources. Software and IS are changing with business environment together. Therefore, there are a lot of methods and techniques for maintenance process analyzing in research theory and applying in practice. However, those practices are starting in Lithuania software maintenance and attending only few groups of IT specialist There are many GIS maintenance researches in publications, but also it is wide range of aspect not including in theory. Therefore, many GIS maintenance processes are analyzing in this paper. The goal of this paper is to analyze all known software maintenance methods and techniques and to define are their used in practice. Research object of this paper is municipality of Klaipeda. This is an organization, with uses usual software and specialized GIS. There were used inquiry questionnaires in this goal research. Finally, by given implications there were proposed software and IS maintenance strategy in municipality of Klaipeda. Like an instance of this strategy, there were given an project of reengineered GIS subsystem.

Apleistų pastatų naudojimo modeliavimas darnaus vystymo(-si) aspektu / Modelling of derelict buildings‘ use from the perspective of sustainable development

The decision-making model was developed that allows solving multi-attribute problems of derelict buildings management from the perspective of sustainable development and under uncertainty. The model deals with the problem of developing the derelict buildings’ redevelopment variants and choosing the most rational one. Planning and technical components of an effective model in conformity with the main principles of sustainable development were proposed. The model of the sustainability indicator system for management of derelict buildings was designed. The developed system was applied to multi-attribute decision-making. A comparative analysis of the results was developed. The model was adjusted for modelling and evaluating the rational management of derelict rural buildings in Lithuania. The facilities of GIS for a spatial decision-making were adjusted to the analyzed problem of sustainable revitalization of derelict buildings.

Disertacijoje nagrinėjama gyvenamųjų teritorijų susisiekimo sistema darnos požiūriu. Pagal sukurtą susisiekimo sistemos analizei naudojamą rodiklių sis-temą, disertacijoje nagrinėjami sprendimų paramos sistemos metodai, tinkantys gyvenamųjų teritorijų susisiekimo sistemos analizes uždaviniams spręsti, tai pat analizuojamos šių metodų integracijos galimybės su geografinėmis informa-cinėmis sistemomis (GIS). Pagrindinis darbo tikslas – sudaryti teorinį modelį, kuris leistų daugiatiksliais sprendimų priėmimo metodais bei GIS technologi-jomis įvertinti gyvenamųjų teritorijų susisiekimo sistemos darną ir darniai planuoti gyvenamųjų teritorijų susisiekimo sistemos vystymąsi ateityje. Dis-ertacijoje siūlomas modelis suteikia galimybę atlikti skirtingų gyvenamųjų teri-torijų susisiekimo sistemų rangavimą, analizuoti įvairias gyvenamųjų teritorijų susisiekimo sistemos vystimosi alternatyvas, jas palyginti bei atrinkti geriausią. The main goal of the current PhD thesis is urban transport system analysis according sustainability. In dissertation have been analyzed urban areas transport system using integrated decision support system methods with GIS. These methods have been adopted for urban transport system analysis, urban territories ranking according transport system level. Also the indicators system for urban transport system analysis was filled with other important indicators groups for urban sustainability (environmental, socio economic). The aim of the paper cov-ers creation of theoretical model, which could evaluate urban transport system sustainability and perform rational planning of urban future development ac-cording decision support methods and GIS technologies. Also this model could allow executing urban transport system ranking by engineering infrastructure, socio economic and environment aspects.
