CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Esta pesquisa, vinculada a linha Literatura e HistÃria, analisa o grotesco residual no cordel de metamorfose contemporÃneo. Utiliza-se a Teoria da Residualidade, que se ocupa dos resÃduos remanescentes de uma cultura em outra, atravÃs dos processos de hibridaÃÃo cultural, endoculturaÃÃo e cristalizaÃÃo. Os cordÃis de metamorfose contemporÃneos trazem o grotesco nos seus dois tipos: o terrificante e o cÃmico. A partir da leitura de oito cordÃis, verificam-se resÃduos do grotesco provocado pela forte atuaÃÃo da mentalidade cristà medieval na cultura do Nordeste do Brasil. / This research, linked to line Literature and History, analyzes the grotesque residual in the metamorphosisâ drawstring contemporary. Use the Theory of Residuality, which deals with waste remaining from one culture into another, through processes of cultural hybridity, endoculturation and crystallization. The metamorphosisâ drawstring contemporary bring the grotesque in their two types: the terrificante and the comical. After the reading of eight drawstrings, we could see residues of the grotesque caused by the strong performance of the medieval Christian mentality in the culture of the Brazilâs Northeastern.

Tel qu’il a été formulé par Georges Bataille dans Documents, dans les premières décennies du XXe siècle, l’informe s’est avéré être un puissant moteur de réflexion. Il a fait naître des œuvres qui disent s’en inspirer, et motivé un âpre débat théorique sur le véritable sens à lui donner. Qu’est-ce que l’informe, en effet ? Cette catégorie complexe et paradoxale s’avère très fructueuse dans l’analyse des œuvres théoriques, plastiques et littéraires de la Renaissance qui s’intéressent à la naissance des formes. L’utilisation d’une notion anachronique permet de réunir dans un même ensemble les préoccupations concernant les origines de l’œuvre d’art, celles sur la bonne composition, ainsi que celles concernant la Matière et l’Être. Ce travail dégage ainsi ce qui serait une poétique de la forme en devenir, poétique se réclamant de la philosophie néo-aristotélicienne de l’époque mais opérant un élargissement d’horizons et une refonte conceptuelle très éloignés de la pensée antique. / From the early XXth century the Formless, as defined by Georges Bataille in Documents, has revealed itself to be a powerful tool for reflection. It has inspired art works and triggered an ongoing debate about its true meaning, for what is the formless exactly? In search for its essence, this category has proven to be of great value when analyzing theoretical, artistic and literary Renaissance works dealing with the birth of form. The anachronic notion of Formless permits an intertwining of questions regarding the origins of the piece of art, good composition, matter and being. Through this essay we will discuss the poetics of art in the making, so-called (neo)Aristotelian in the XVIth century – poetics in a constant and fluid definition of the Aristotelian meaning enlarged by non-Aristotelian concepts, and categories distant to those attributed to it in classical times.

L’imaginaire de François Rabelais se présente souvent à la faveur d’éléments étranges, ambigus et équivoques qui proviennent de la virtuosité stylistique mise en œuvre. Cette liaison nette entre l’imaginaire et la technique se manifeste dans de nombreuses descriptions dont l’auteur nourrit le Tiers livre et le Quart livre. Appréhender les pratiques descriptives dans ces deux œuvres nécessite une analyse à deux niveaux distincts de la technique d’écriture : le style et les objets décrits. Pour le premier, le recours aux théories rhétorique et dialectique de l’époque permet d’illustrer le procédé d’hybridation qui renvoie aux multiples pratiques descriptives existant avant Rabelais. Pour les seconds, le rapprochement avec l’art des grotesques souligne, par ses figures capricieuses et composites, la supériorité de l’artifice sur la nature. En se reportant au réel et au fictif dans le système complexe de rapport entre le mot et le référent, cette investigation révèle la modalité de l’« ingénieuse fiction » forgée par l’artifice de Rabelais. / The imaginary world of François Rabelais appears often as strange, ambiguous, and polysemic, a result of his stylistic virtuosity. This close connection between creativity and technique shows itself in the numerous descriptions with which the author furnishes his Tiers livre and Quart livre. Full comprehension of the descriptive practices in these two works requires an analysis at both levels of his written technique : the style and the objects described. For the former, a consideration of the rhetorical and dialectical theories of Rabelais' contemporaries illustrates a process of hybridization, which refers to the multiple descriptive practices available to Rabelais. For the latter, a connection drawn to the grotesque in art emphasizes, by its capricious and composite figures, the superiority of artifice over nature. By placing the real and the imaginary within the complex system of relationships between the word and the referent, this investigation finds a modality of " ingenious fiction " forged by the artifice of Rabelais.
