Your health-disease process is marked by a historical backdrop of stigma , prejudice, social exclusion and authoritarian decisionducts , in order to extinguish the disease milieu under the regime of compulsory confinement of the patient. In this perspective , the Brazilian public health twentieth century adopted policies of compulsory isolation , which meant that those who receive a diagnosis of leprosy were isolated from society and their families in hospitals colonies . Objective is, to the study, rescue the trajectory of health professionals in the Colony Hospital St. Francis of Assisi , in Natal / RN ; Identify the policy was perceived as compulsory institutionalization imposed for leprosy patients by health professionals ; describe the behaviors Professional Hospital adopted in Cologne ; Retrieve information about the existence and functioning of the Hospital and Create a documentary of historical fragments of leprosy from the point of view of professionals from a former colony. Exploratory - descriptive method with a qualitative approach , using the methodological framework thematic oral history was used . Obtained approval by the IRB of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under Protocol No 461 403 and CAAE 19476913.9.0000.5537 . Be interviewed during the period of November and December 2013 , five health professionals who worked in the hospital colony , using audio recorder and images to capture and record the statements. The interviews were transcribed , textualized, transcriadas and sent to reviewers to step conference of the reports. Subsequently , analysis of the stories was made from the proposed content analysis of Bardin . The results and discussion are presented in the form of article: Opinion of nursing professionals who worked in a hospital for leprosy colony , which aimed to : identify the opinion of nurses who worked in hospital colony on the lives of patients . In this article, three main themes were highlighted and discussed from the reports of colaboradoes : I - The socialization process of internal II - 16 Prejudice , stigma and discrimination III - Social exclusion versus inclusion . We conclude that , in the context of the colony hospital, the performance of health professionals contributed significantly to that stigma , prejudice and social exclusion would be minimized and that the experience of asylum seekers in the colony were not seen more traumatic / A hansen?ase, como problema de sa?de p?blica, ainda persiste h? bastante tempo, mesmo com tratamento h? d?cadas. Seu processo sa?de-doen?a ? marcado por um cen?rio hist?rico de estigma, preconceito, exclus?o social e por tomada de condutas autorit?rias, com o intuito de extinguir a doen?a do meio social sob o regime do enclausuramento obrigat?rio do doente. Foi utilizado o m?todo explorat?rio-descritivo, com uma abordagem qualitativa, tendo como referencial metodol?gico a hist?ria oral tem?tica. Obteve-se aprova??o pelo CEP da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, sob Protocolo N. 461.403 e CAAE 19476913.9.0000.5537. Entrevistaram-se, durante o per?odo de novembro e 14 dezembro de 2013, cinco profissionais de sa?de que atuaram no hospital col?nia, utilizando-se gravador de ?udio e imagens para capta??o e registro dos depoimentos. As entrevistas foram transcritas, textualizadas, transcriadas e enviadas aos colaboradores para a etapa de confer?ncia dos relatos. Posteriormente, A an?lise das hist?rias foi realizada a partir da proposta de an?lise de conte?do de Bardin. Os resultados e a discuss?o est?o apresentados em forma de artigo: Opini?o de profissionais da enfermagem que atuaram em um hospital col?nia de hansen?ase, que objetivou: identificar a opini?o dos profissionais de enfermagem, que atuaram em hospital col?nia, sobre a vida dos doentes. Nesse artigo, tr?s eixos tem?ticos foram evidenciados e discutidos a partir dos relatos dos colaboradoes: O processo de socializa??o dos internos; O preconceito, o estigma e a discrimina??o; A exclus?o social versus inclus?o social. Defende a tese de que a fiscaliza??o exercida pelo Conselho constitui uma ferramenta importante para a melhoria da qualidade da assist?ncia de enfermagem. Teve como objetivo analisar a hist?ria da fiscaliza??o do exerc?cio profissional da enfermagem, no Rio Grande do Norte, no per?odo 1993-2013. Pautou-se no aporte ?tico-filos?fico de Fourez e V?zquez. Trata-se de um estudo de natureza hist?rico-social, descritiva e anal?tica, com abordagem qualitativa, utilizando os m?todos de pesquisa documental e entrevistas. Teve como l?cus da pesquisa emp?rica o Coren-RN, contando com sua documenta??o e a participa??o de fiscais e presidentes. A hist?ria da fiscaliza??o foi sendo constru?da com base nos documentos, fotos e nas entrevistas com quem vivenciou essa trajet?ria. O projeto obteve aprova??o do Comit? de ?tica em Pesquisa, da UFRN, conforme Parecer 562.400/2014 (CAAE: 25452113.7.0000.5537). Os resultados indicam que o CorenRN, durante esses vinte anos, enfrentou in?meras dificuldades, como a escassez de fiscais, a realidade prec?ria da maioria dos servi?os de sa?de, a falta de qualifica??o dos profissionais, a ilegalidade do exerc?cio profissional e a defici?ncia estrutural da institui??o. Apesar disso, h? que se reconhecer que o processo de fiscaliza??o, exercido pelo Conselho, vem evoluindo ao longo desses anos. Essa evolu??o se expressa na amplia??o do n?mero de fiscais, na aquisi??o de uma nova sede e de tr?s ve?culos, na cria??o das subse??es nos munic?pios de Mossor?, Caic? e Pau dos Ferros, no encaminhamento dos processos ?ticos, entre outras conquistas. Ademais, registra-se uma maior credibilidade dos profissionais de enfermagem e de outros ?rg?os fiscalizadores. Em s?ntese, a fiscaliza??o, como atividade-fim do Conselho, vem passando por um processo de transforma??o, com vistas a realizar a interlocu??o entre a concep??o disciplinar e a pedag?gica, em defesa da qualidade da assist?ncia de enfermagem. Enfim, ? um processo inacabado, em cont?nua constru??o. / The present investigation had as its study subject the history of professional monitoring, at the Regional Nursing Council of Rio Grande do Norte (Coren-RN). It assumes that the fiscalization by the Council is an important tool for improving the quality of nursing care. This study aims to analyze the history of monitoring of the nursing profession in Rio Grande do Norte, in the period from 1993 to 2013. It was marked in the ethical-philosophical contribution of Fourez and V?zquez. This is a study of social history, descriptive and analytical, with a qualitative approach, using the methods of documentary research and the technique of oral history. It had the Coren-RN as locus of the empirical research, with its documents and the participation of inspectors and presidents. The history of monitoring was built based on documents and interviews with those who lived through this path. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of UFRN as Opinion 562 400/2014 (CAAE: 25452113.7.0000.5537). The results indicate that the Coren-RN, during these twenty years faced many difficulties such as the shortage of inspectors, the precarious reality of most health services, lack of professional qualification, the illegality of professional practice and structural deficiency in the institution. Nevertheless, it must be recognized that the monitoring process exercised by the Council, has evolved over the years. This evolution is expressed in increasing the number of inspectors, in the acquisition of a new seat and three vehicles, the creation of the subsections in the cities of Natal, Caic? and Pau dos Ferros, the referral of ethical procedures, among other achievements. Similarly, it is registered an improvement in the credibility of nursing professionals and other regulatory agencies. In summary, the monitoring as core activity of the Council is going through a process of transformation, in order to make the dialogue between the disciplinary design and the pedagogical design, in defense of nursing care quality. Therefore, it is an unfinished process, in continuous construction.

It is aimed to identify the skills of the nursing team members through the vision of nurses, technicians and nursing assistants, thus it attempts to find strategies to improve the health assistance to patients. It is a descriptive and analytical study with a qualitative approach grounded in theoretical and methodological framework of Symbolic Interactionism. The research was carried out in the participant work place, a Public Hospital of Reference for the SUS, located in the eastern health district of Natal/RN. Nineteen nursing professionals participated in the study, which seven was nurse and twelve nursing technician. As procedure to collect data we used an unstructured interview accompanied by a standard topic guide which was recorded and later transcribed. The content analysis was chosen as the main methodology to analyze the discussion, which gave rise to thematic categories that were considered relevant based on the theoretical framework of this study, and the interactionist theory. This study was in accordance with the ethical principles of the Resolution n?. 196/96, it has obtained an appropriate consent of the UFRN Research Ethics Committee. The results indicate that the professionals seen the nursing as a profession strongly attached to the health care process and as a profession that acquired a scientific status very recently. Regarding to the nursing functions in the work process in nursing, the professionals they identified the manage/administer category as the main activities developed by these professionals, thus the education and complex care in nursing categories. Concerning to the technicians and nursing assistants functions, it was figured out in the professional s opinion that there is not distinction among the attribution of these categories. The interviewed were unanimous in report that these professionals are more involved in direct patient health care through performance of basic duties in nursing care. Finally, with regard to the work relationship among nursing team members, the majority of those interviewed see this relationship as disharmony and quarrelsome and in general, there is not bond between categories that comprise the process of work in nursing. On the basis of our results we consider the importance of knowing the meaning of nursing given by these professionals; also their skills could be useful as basis to identify problems, which source could be detected in the power relationship, deviations of functions, gap between design (knowledge) and performance (doing) work, besides the loss of the global activities view in the process of nursing work / O presente estudo faz uma an?lise das rela??es de trabalho na equipe de enfermagem a partir das atribui??es/compet?ncias de seus membros, como contribui??o para o entendimento do processo de trabalho em enfermagem. Teve como objetivos identificar as compet?ncias dos membros da equipe de enfermagem atrav?s da vis?o de enfermeiros, t?cnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem, al?m de tentar detectar estrat?gias para melhorar a assist?ncia prestada ao paciente. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e anal?tico com abordagem qualitativa, fundamentado em princ?pios te?rico-metodol?gicos do Interacionismo Simb?lico. Teve como cen?rio o local de trabalho dos participantes, sendo este um Hospital P?blico de Refer?ncia para o SUS, localizado no Distrito Sanit?rio Leste do Munic?pio de Natal/RN. Participaram do estudo 19 profissionais de enfermagem, dos quais, 07 eram enfermeiros e 12 eram t?cnicos de enfermagem. Como procedimento de coleta, utilizou-se uma entrevista n?o-estruturada acompanhada de formul?rio, cuja foi gravada e posteriormente transcrita. Para a an?lise dos resultados, utilizou-se a an?lise de conte?do, a qual fez emergir categorias tem?ticas relevantes, que foram analisadas tendo por base os referenciais te?ricos desse estudo, bem como a teoria interacionista. O estudo obedeceu aos preceitos ?ticos da Resolu??o n?. 196/96, com parecer favor?vel do Comit? de ?tica e Pesquisa da UFRN. Os resultados obtidos indicam que para os profissionais a Enfermagem ? uma profiss?o fortemente atrelada ao processo de cuidar e recentemente vem adquirindo status de ci?ncia. No que se refere ?s fun??es do enfermeiro, no processo de trabalho em enfermagem, tais profissionais relacionaram as categorias gerenciar/administrar como sendo as principais atividades desenvolvidas por eles, al?m da categoria de ensino e da presta??o de assist?ncia em cuidados de enfermagem complexos. Com rela??o ?s fun??es dos auxiliares e t?cnicos de enfermagem, notou-se que na opini?o dos profissionais, n?o existe mais uma distin??o entre as atribui??es dessas categorias. Os entrevistados foram un?nimes em relatar que a esses profissionais est? atribu?do o cuidado direto ao paciente, atrav?s da realiza??o de cuidados de enfermagem mais simples. E, por fim, no que tange ?s rela??es de trabalho entre os membros da equipe de enfermagem, para a maioria dos entrevistados tais rela??es s?o conflituosas, desarm?nicas e, geralmente, n?o existe uni?o entre as categorias que comp?em o processo de trabalho em enfermagem. Diante desses achados, considera-se que a import?ncia de se conhecer o significado de enfermagem atribu?do por estes profissionais, bem como as suas compet?ncias pode servir de base para a identifica??o dos problemas, cuja origem pode se localizar nas rela??es de poder, desvios de fun??es, distanciamento entre concep??o (saber) e execu??o (fazer) do trabalho, al?m da perda da globalidade das atividades realizadas no processo de trabalho em enfermagem

Motivation for carrying out this study is due, firstly, to a liking for history and, secondly, to the nonexistence of records on Nursing in one of the institutions with the most teaching tradition in the area of health and nursing in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The objectives of the study were to analyze the historical development of Nursing at the HUOL and its association with the teaching of Nursing at the UFRN; describe the historical development of the Hospital referred to; and to establish a relationship between the development of nursing at the HUOL and the teaching of Nursing at the UFRN. Empirical investigation was carried out based on the study of historical documents such as reports, minutes, letters, by-laws, decrees and administrative directives, as well as photographs and interviews with people who lived through this history or who kept vivid memories of it. From this research it can be gathered that Nursing at the HUOL was at first closely identified with the empirical stage of the profession. Its development is a result of the institutionalization of teaching whose starting point is an authorization for running the Nursing Aid School of Natal in 1955. Since then, gradually, teaching has enabled those who practiced nursing at that institution to become professionals through a partnership between the Nursing Aid School and the Nursing Department at the Hospital whose administration had been in charge of a professor for many years. Upon the creation of the undergraduate program in Nursing in 1973, nursing at the HUOL underwent a new transformation process with new nurses being hired. Likewise, the creation of post-graduate specialization and master s degree programs in 1982 and 1996, respectively, opened the way to the growth of the academic qualifications of nurses at that institution. Therefore, it must be asserted that Nursing at the HUOL has, over the years, gone through a continuous process of qualification of its members and in such trajectory the teaching of Nursing that is carried out at different levels at the UFRN stands as a hallmark / Trata-se de um estudo de enfoque hist?rico com abordagem qualitativa, tendo como principal prop?sito investigar a trajet?ria da Enfermagem do Hospital Universit?rio Onofre Lopes (HUOL) e sua rela??o com o ensino de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Sua evolu??o deve-se ? institucionaliza??o do ensino, tendo como marco inicial a autoriza??o para o funcionamento da Escola de Auxiliares de Enfermagem de Natal, no ano de 1955. A partir de ent?o, gradativamente, o ensino possibilitou a profissionaliza??o dos exercentes de Enfermagem daquela institui??o, em regime de parceria entre a Escola de Auxiliares e a dire??o de Enfermagem do Hospital que, por muitos anos, foi exercida por um professor. No ano de 1973, com a cria??o do curso de gradua??o em Enfermagem na UFRN, a Enfermagem do HUOL passa por um novo processo de transforma??o, com a admiss?o de novos enfermeiros em seu quadro.
