Mat för äldre på särskilt boende

Johansson, Anna, Rezniqi, Almira January 2011 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the elderly people experience the food on a sheltered accommodation. We will examine nutrition in the food and if the elderly people have an influence on food they gets everyday. The aim of this study was to examine older persons’ everyday experiences of food within the context of homes for the elderly. More specifically, nutrition and the personal experiences of influence concerning choice of food were examined. The study was performed by means of a qualitative approach involving interviews with both personnel and elderly persons themselves within two homes for the elderly, both located in the same city in southern Sweden. The results of this study indicate that elderly persons tend to experience less influence on the everyday choice of food. However, this is partly contradicted by the personnel concerning their explicit involvement of the elderly when composing weekly menus.

Plnění úkolů ochrany obyvatelstva u vybraného domova pro seniory se zvláštním zaměřením na dodávky pitné vody / Fulfilling the tasks of population protection in selected retirement home with a special focus on drinking water supplies.

HNÍDKOVÁ, Jaromíra January 2016 (has links)
The environment of social services is characterized by a number of relationships among people and institutions that have a large impact on quality of life. Their aim is to provide social services and create conditions for meeting the basic needs of people. Aging is a natural process of development which can not be avoided. The aging of population has become a phenomenon of our times and concerns everyone, without exception. Efforts to extend the period of life with general ability to work and realization of the fact, that it is we ourselves who are responsible for maintaining our own physical and mental health and work performance as long as possible, should become part of the moral profile of each member of society. The demographic development still confirms the increasing age of the population. Dependency on help of another person increases with age. Given that the modern family is becoming less willing and able to care for their disabled members and that a modern society is increasingly demanding on job performance and social behaviour, the importance of the existence of homes for the elderly is increasing. The role of new social facilities will increase in the future and therefore it is appropriate to deal with emergencies and evacuations of residents living in social service facilities. The thesis concerns the topic of population protection tasks at the chosen home for the elderly with special focus on drinking water supplies. Need to evacuate the persons dependent on the help of others is a very difficult process for nursing staff and for intervening organs of the integrated rescue system. The theoretical part deals with the issues of old age and the aging process, protection of the population, evacuations and explaining the key concepts related to the issues. We attempt to list the most important factors influencing age and we explain the process of aging and focus on factors affecting behaviour in emergency events. The theoretical part is divided into chapters dealing with topics that serve as a theoretical basis for the practical part, e.g. the protection of the population, drinking water and its importance for people, social service facilities and the issue of old age. In determining preparedness for an emergency event and evacuation of the facility associated with the accommodation, technique of standardized interview was used in the practical part of the study. This method can provide us with the results easily, quickly and in an organized manner. Research respondents were the employees of social welfare facilities in Veselí nad Lužnicí. The interviews were conducted with a total of 21 staff, of whom 19 were women and 2 men. Standardized interview technique allowed the personal approach and helped clarify any confusion which occurred during the interviews. Individual responses were manually recorded with the approval of the respondents...

Problematika umisťování seniorů do domovů pro seniory / The Issue of Placement of Seniors in Homes for the Elderly

VANČUROVÁ, Alena January 2014 (has links)
The thesis deals with problems connected with the placement of senior citizens into homes for the elderly. The objectives of the thesis are to find out how long the waiting period for the placement into a home for senior citizens is and which obstacles and problems connected with the placement into homes for the elderly appear. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on some demographic trends, the opinion of the Czech population about the old age and senior citizens, history of social services for senior citizens in the Czech Republic and abroad, and the current offer of social services for senior citizens. In this part, I also describe the process of placing of senior citizens into homes for the elderly and the services which homes for the elderly offer to their clients; I also focus on the senior citizens´ financial reimbursement of board and lodging in homes for the elderly. The research was conducted by means of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques. In the qualitative research, I deal with the second part of my goal identifying obstacles to placement in homes for the elderly. Firstly, I set the following research questions: 1) What are the obstacles and problems in the process of placing senior citizens into homes for the elderly? and 2) Do senior citizens have any other options of care instead of the care in homes for the elderly? Then, I conducted semi-standardized interviews with 3 social workers, 8 senior citizens and with 3 members of families which put their senior citizens into homes for the elderly. I asked all of them almost identical questions to be able to compare their responses later. The results show that nowadays, dependent senior citizens who have no other option of care are more likely to be placed into homes for the elderly. The answers to the question "What are the obstacles and problems when placing senior citizens into homes for the elderly?" were rather variable and they cannot be generalized. The quantitative part of my research relates to the first part of my goal. Here I primarily focused on the waiting period. The following two hypotheses were set for the research. H1: Senior citizens negatively evaluate the waiting period for their placement into homes for the elderly. H2: Senior citizens know only one possibility of care homes for the elderly. To verify the above hypotheses, I used the method of secondary analysis of the data taken from the client's documentation and the method of controlled conversation. Therefore, I conducted my research in the following homes for the elderly: Home for the elderly Light in Písek, Home for the elderly Bechyně, Home for the elderly Diaconia Centre ČCE Blanka in Písek, Home for the elderly Centre for Social Assistance Vodňany. Social workers in each facility advised me to use the greatest possible number of clients who were oriented and able to answer my questions. In total, I analyzed 100 files of personal documentation and then I conducted the structured interviews with the analysed clients in the homes for the elderly which are mentioned above. The average waiting period was 243 days. In the category of the waiting period shorter than 1 month there were 26 senior citizens; from 1 to 2 months 33 senior citizens; from 3 to 4 months 11 senior citizens; longer than 5 months 30 senior citizens. 79 senior citizens rated their waiting periods positively, but 21 senior citizens rated their waiting periods negatively. 56 senior citizens had some knowledge about other possibilities of care; most of them reported the nursing service (54 responses); homes with nursing (8 responses); personal assistance (3 responses); pensions for senior citizens (1 response).

KOCMANOVÁ, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)

The first part deals with social services in general context, presents actual legislation and publishes the view of experts who handle with issues in providing social services. The second research part is focused on data analysis and quantitative survey of social services users. Quantitative research is made by interrogation method through questionnaire. Secondary data analysis is specified on financial costs those facilities and its differences. The aim of diploma thesis is to create optimal model of residential facilities providing social care services. Diploma thesis works with two hypotheses. Hypothesis 1 is : ?The capacity of residential facility providing social services for more than 70 clients do not guarantee providing better services than facilities with lower capacity of clients. ? This hypothesis was confirmed. Hypothesis was statistically tested through working hypotheses and shown in contingency tables and also graphically by descriptive statistics. Hypothesis 2 is : ?Operating costs of residential facility providing social services for less than 70 clients are higher than residential facility providing social services for more than 70 clients.? This hypothesis was also confirmed. Hypothesis was statistically tested by statistic tests and summarized in charts. Results were statistically processed by using multi-scale classification of data in contexts with obtained nominal, ordinal, and cardinal variables. To analyse categorical data were used two statistical tests ? chi square test of independence and t-test. Questionnaires were distributed to the registered providers of social services after their written agreement. Total of 290 questionnaires were sent out and 214 of them returned. Return the sample reached 74%. Importance of this thesis is to get a better insight into the optimal size of residential facility providing social services from the perspective of clients and operating costs. Renata Borba de Amorim Oliveira 14 May 2010 (has links)
This is an exploratory study in which we seek to understand the significance of eating from the view of institutionalized elderly.
