Policijos pareigūnų fizinis parengtumas ir jo lavinimo ypatumai / Police officers‘ physical fitness and peculiarities of its development

Šimkus, Ovidijus 04 August 2011 (has links)
1. Pareigūnai teigiamai vertina fizinio aktyvumo pratybų poveikį. Tačiau dėl netinkamo privalomų sporto treniruočių organizavimo įstaigoje, skurdžios sporto bazės, didelio darbo krūvio, mankštinimosi įpročio neturėjimo, kitų laisvalaikio praleidimo formų pripažinimo, ligų neįvykdo minimalių fizinio aktyvumo reikalavimu. 2. Pareigūno amžius... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The relevance of the research. The subject of the bachelor thesis is not only a relevant problem of Internal Affairs Office but also a problem of physical education and sport since qualified specialists of physical education and sport have to ensure the function of officers’ training. Sport scientists analyze the evaluation system and changes of police officers’ physical fitness and look for the reasons of officers’ poor training. The solution of this problem is possible when officers of physical education and sport as well as officers of Ministry of the Interior cooperate. In 2004 A. Kutavičius and S. Dadelo performed the research and came to the conclusion that officers’ physical fitness is of a low level and almost 65% of them did not correspond to the required normatives. The subject of the research is general fitness of primary level officers and opportunities of their training. The aim of the research is general and special fitness of primary level officers and their striving to improve it through physical self-education. The methods of the research: theoretical analysis and its generalization, questionnaire, testing, mathematical statistics. The sample of the research: 154 police officers whose age ranged from 20 to 54. Conclusions. Officers positively evaluate the influence of physical activity training. However, minimal requirements of physical activity are not fulfilled due to the inappropriate organization of compulsory sport training in the office, poor sport... [to full text]

Species identification and discovery in common marine macroalgae: Fucus, Porphyra and Ulva using a DNA barcoding approach.

Hana, Kucera January 2010 (has links)
The oceans represent a wealth of biological diversity where many species remain to be discovered and described. Among seaweeds, a paucity of morphological features by which to differentiate species means that many genera harbour overlooked or cryptic species. Fucus, Porphyra and Ulva are three common genera of marine intertidal algae and all include species that are particularly difficult to distinguish morphologically. DNA barcoding has been championed as a revolutionary tool for species identification and discovery and applying this tool to algae was a logical step due to the difficulty of morphological identification of many algal species. This thesis is part of a significant initiative aimed at identification and discovery of all species of seaweeds in Canadian waters, using a DNA barcoding approach. The original concept of DNA barcoding relied on comparing the 5’ region of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase 1 (COI-5P) gene among animal species. In this study, DNA barcoding with COI-5P was applied to the brown algal genus Fucus and worked as well as any other marker to assign morphologies to known species. The DNA barcoding results also uncovered substantial phenotypic diversity in Pacific F. distichus. Results were confirmed by comparison with sequences of the nuclear internal transcribed spacer region (ITS). For Porphyra, COI-5P DNA barcoding was compared with species identification using the chloroplast large rubisco subunit (rbcL) and the Universal Plastid Amplicon (UPA) in a floristic survey of Canadian Porphyra species. Two new species were discovered and described (Porphyra corallicola and Porphyra peggicovensis), and P. cuneiformis was synonymized with P. amplissima. The COI-5P emerged as the best marker for species discrimination despite difficulties with primer universality. To aid in choosing a marker for DNA barcoding for green algae, the universality and species discriminatory power of the rubisco large subunit (rbcL) (considering the 5’ and 3’ fragments independently), the UPA, the D2/D3 region of the nuclear large ribosomal subunit (LSU-D2/D3) and the ITS were evaluated. While the rbcL-3P highlighted several cryptic species, and worked well to distinguish Ulva species, more research is needed to recommend a marker for DNA barcoding generally in marine green macroalgae.

Robitaille, Ann January 2013 (has links)

Valstybinės darbo inspekcijos kompetencija ir jos įgyvendinimas / The competence of the state labour inspectorate and its implementation

Černiavskytė, Liudmila 25 June 2014 (has links)
The competence of the State Labor Inspectorate is precisely defined in the State Labor Inspection Law. It is clear that its function is wide. Considering this, the attention in my work has been focused on occupational safety and health violations, prevention of illegal employment effects, control companies pay, working time accounting irregularities and also active and purposeful management of public consultation and conveyance. The aim of master’s work is to highlight the features of the implementation of the State Labor Inspectorate, to analyze its main features, their implementation, as well as to distinguish theory and practice problems of Lithuanian law, to evaluate them legally and to propose the solutions. In its activities the State Labor Inspectorate applies different control and prevention methods: inspection, training and consulting of employers, their representatives or attorneys. In order to tackle employees’ health and safety, and employment law problems, it introduces more and more consulting, information dialogue-based relations with employers and workers. State Labor Inspectorate activity and accumulated practice allows to shape and modify the labor law.

Higgs, Charles Henry John January 2013 (has links)
The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa6 (hereinafter the Constitution) gives everyone the right to fair labour practices.7 The Labour Relations Act8 (hereinafter the LRA) regulates the relationship between employers and employees as well as the relationship between employers and trade unions. These labour relations are quite extensively regulated by statutory measures. The same can unfortunately not be said about the relationship between a trade union and its members. Because a trade union is a legal entity, a trade union is controlled and managed by certain functionaries like any body corporate. The management structures of the trade union are defined in the trade union’s constitution. A trade union can not perform any legal functions which are not provided for in the trade union’s constitution. 9 The trade union’s constitution states the nature of the relationship between the union and its members.10 Workers join trade unions in order to protect themselves and their rights in the workplace. An expectation is therefore cultivated by the members that the trade union, through its representative power and mandate to act on behalf of the members, will do so in the best interest of the members. The disruption of the relationship can have negative implications for the trade union. In this study, relevant case law will be sited to explain the contents of the legal responsibility of a trade union to its members. The specific focus of the study is the legal responsibility of a trade union if its members would suffer pecuniary loss or harm as a result of the trade union’s actions. The purpose of this study is to discuss the regulation of the relationship between a trade union and its members in South Africa and to find a solution for the fragmented regulation or non-regulation thereof. The authority that a member grants to a trade union, mostly in the form of a contract, involves the expression of the will of the members that the trade union has the necessary power to perform judicial acts on its behalf. The discussion is limited to the actual authorization originated by a contract of mandate between a trade union and its members. In terms of the common law’s contract of mandate a representative is obliged to perform his orders with care and diligence, convey information, to act in good faith and to account for his actions. There are no statutory measures that regulate the nature of the legal relationship between a trade union and its members provided for in the trade union’s constitution. This study discusses the regulatory challenges that the regulation of the relationship between a trade union and its members in South Africa are facing, and some recommendations are made with regards to the possible application of existing legislation and the common law contract of mandate. / LLM (Labour Law), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2014

Effect of initial microstructure on the deformation and annealing behaviour of low carbon steel.

Xu, Wanqiang, Materials Science & Engineering, Faculty of Science, UNSW January 2006 (has links)
The effect of initial microstructures of an 0.05 wt.% C low carbon steel, acicular ferrite (AF), Bainite (B), polygonal ferrite (PF), fine polygonal ferrite (FPF), and a microstructure produced by direct strip casting (DSC) (termed SC), on the deformation and recrystallization behaviour of cold rolled low carbon (LC) steel, was investigated. The initially prepared samples with the initial microstructures were cold rolled to 50, 70 and 90% reductions, then annealed isothermally in the temperature range 580 ??? 680 oC. The microstructures and textures produced by deformation and annealing were studied by optical microscopy, XRD, TEM, SEM and EBSD. The initial microstructures were characterized mainly by optical microscopy and EBSD. Using EBSD, the ferrite grain size of the AF, B and SC samples was considerably larger than that found by optical microscopy with a large fraction of low angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) observed within prior austenite grains. All samples exhibited a very weak texture close to random. After cold rolling, the microstructures of AF and SC contained shear bands with PF and FPF generating deformation bands. For AF and SC, the pearlite phase was more extensively elongated in rolling direction compared with PF and FPF. After 90% cold rolling reduction, PF, FPF and SC consist mainly of the texture component and AF and B . It was found that FPF recrystallized most rapidly followed by B, PF and AF with SC recrystallizing orders of magnitude more slowly due to the solution drag caused by its uniformly distributed higher Mn content. Very strong (???-fibre) texture was generated in cold rolled PF followed by FPF, with AF, SC and B generating very weak textures. The texture evolution during annealing 90% reduction PF was examined in further detail. The behaviour of nucleation and grain growth provides strong evidence of orientated nucleation as the dominant factor for CRA texture development in this material.
