IT Product Realization Process towards Marketing Consultancy Automation – Case Study: Customer Value Sweden AB

Paralykidis, Georgios January 2015 (has links)
Management consulting is a growing field [1] that is of great importance for organisations to optimise their performance and develop plans for future improvements. In the recent years, many companies use experienced consultants in order to create a strong competitive advantage to withstand the competition and to easily find solutions suitable to different problems. Customer Value Sweden AB is a - start-up - consultancy firm that have been operating the last years in the Swedish market and offers customer database analyses to the e-commerce market. They become valuable tools for the retailers, by improving marketing activities directed toward present customers. By adopting a segmented marketing strategy, companies can target customers in a different way, thus enchanting their business [2]. This Master thesis work tries to introduce a new efficient and automated way for the company to increase its capacity and quality of the provided services. It is done by deploying an IT product realisation process that conceptualizes, designs and implements a new online web service that aims to automate the report generation process, which was carried out manually until now. This system will try to solve complexity, availability, and performance problems that occur in the current system and also open up now possibilities for future development and expansion. The key benefits of the new solution in contrast to the old one will be highlighted, as well as the process that was followed to realise it.

設計與實作工作流程引擎之剖面導向擴充機制 / Enhancing Workflow Engines with Aspectual Processes

鍾政憲, Chung,Cheng Hsien Unknown Date (has links)
Software-system is composed of functional requirements and non-functional requirements. Functional requirements define core functions of software-system. Non-functional requirements are crosscutting concerns such as logging, authorization and other elements common to many of the core modules. While object-oriented programming (OOP) is the most common methodology employed today to manage core functions, it is not enough to manage crosscutting concerns. Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) is a relative new methodology that specifically targeted the management of crosscutting concerns by introducing a new unit of modularization—an aspect—that realizes the concept of Separation of Concerns. Our research is to apply Aspect-Oriented Programming in the field of workflow. We implement Aspect-Oriented for jBPM Process Definition Language (AO4JPDL) and extend jBPM workflow Engine to support Aspect-Oriented Programming. AO4JPDL is a aspect-oriented extension to the jBPM Process Definition Language(jPDL). With AO4JPDL process designer can implement crosscutting concerns in aspects instead of fusing them in the core modules, resulting in a system that is easier to design, implement, and maintain.

Softwaretechnische Verknüpfung der interaktiven Softwareplattform Energy Navigator und der Virtual Reality Control Platform: Softwaretechnische Verknüpfung der interaktiven Softwareplattform Energy Navigator und der Virtual Reality Control Platform

Xu, Haibin, Reichel, Thomas, Rünger, Gudula, Schwind, Michael January 2013 (has links)

A Reporting System for a Device Management Application

Svensson, Marcus January 2009 (has links)
<p>Device Management Applications are applications which are used to manage software on devices such as mobile phones. OMSI Forum provides such an application which is used to update the software on a phone. Software updates can be done at device management stations placed in stores or other service locations. Whenever a phone's software is updated, information about the update process is stored in a log. These logs can then be analyzed to generate statistics about updates such as the number of successful or failed updates or which faults that are common.</p><p>This master thesis project solves the problem of manually collecting and compiling logs from several stores by making this process automatic. Rather than collecting logs manually, each device management station sends its logs to a centralized server which stores all collected logs in a database. This makes it possible to generate charts and statistics in a simple manner from a web application. This solution makes the analysis more e ective, allowing users to concentrate on analyzing data by removing the work task of collecting logs.</p>

License Management for EBITool

Krznaric, Anton January 2013 (has links)
This degree project deals with license management for EBITool. It´s about providing protection and monitoring for a Java Application via a license server, and the construction of it. An analysis that discusses the approach and other possible courses of action is also included. Additionally, it covers a discussion of a prototype implementation of the model solution from the analysis. The prototype is a Java EE application that deploys to JBoss AS7. It´s developed using the JBoss Developer Studio 5.0.0, an Eclipse IDE with JBoss Tools preinstalled. It exposes web services to Java Applications through SOAP via JAX-WS. Using Hibernate, the web service Enterprise Java Beans get access to a PostgreSQL 9.1 database via entity classes mapped to the database through the Java Persistence API.

Analyzing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in Open Source Products

Gohar, Adnan January 2010 (has links)
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural paradigm that allows building of infrastructures for diverse application interaction and integration via services across different platforms, domains of technology and locations. SOA differs from traditional architectures, as it focuses on integrating capabilities that are distributed and implemented using a mixture of technologies. SOA provides a set of methodologies and strategies to accomplish interoperability and integration among different technology stacks.   Vattenfall is the fifth the largest energy supplier within Europe. Having operational systems in different countries brings the challenge of integrating all these distributed systems and this integration is a vital requirement for Vattenfall. The company is currently using Microsoft proprietary products to achieve integration across different technological platform, but requires a better integration infrastructure which is easily extensible and cost effective.   This thesis investigates the impact of implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using open source or proprietary software products within Vattenfall, from technological and financial perspectives. For this purpose, different technical and non-technical function blocks are identified which are essential for the implementation of SOA. These function blocks are mapped with SOA solutions provided by Red Hat’s JBoss Open Source SOA Platform and Microsoft’s SOA Platform. After mapping, a vendor specific technical and non-technical comparative analysis is carried out based on the function blocks, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor.   Finally, an evaluation scheme is purposed based on the technical comparative analysis of vendors, SOA solution cost and SOA competence required. The results from this evaluation scheme are used to recommend the best solution vendor for Vattenfall Nordic. Moreover, this evaluation scheme can also be used to facilitate management in arriving at an appropriate decision about implementation of SOA, while remaining within their requirements and constraints.
