Výroba drážkovaného náboje objemovým tvářením / Bulk forming technology of grooved charge

Sklenář, Luděk January 2010 (has links)
SKLENÁŘ Luděk: Bulk forming technology of grooved charge. The project prepared as part of the Master-degree studies in the Manufacturing Technology and Management in Industry, concerns the technology design for manufacturing a grooved charge by cold bulk forming. Grade 12 040.3 (CSN) steel was used as the initial material. For the batch of 50,000 pieces per year are proposed three alternatives. The chosen option No. 1 is made of technology and tensile strength calculations for metal forming operations: upsetting, backwards extrusion, forward extrusion and calibrating. The grooved charge production is designed for two forming processes that will be realised at the Colombo press Agostino, which is part of the machinery park company Metaldyne Oslavany. The extruding dies for the manufacture are made of tool steel 19 655 and tool steel 19 830 is designed for extruding punches.

Ztráta Podkarpatské Rusi na konci druhé světové války / Loss of Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia at the End of World War 2

Hubený, David January 2017 (has links)
Loss of Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia at the End of World War 2 David Hubený Czechoslovakia came by Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia completely unexpectedly after World War 1. The Republic tried with dedication to help the Slavonic population of the region, hardly aware of their nationality, get rid of poverty and ignorance. Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia, however, did not fit into the concept of Czechoslovak statehood. Some Czechoslovak politicians (e.g. Karel Kramář) only perceived the mission of the Republic at Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia as the role of a "faithful trustee" that should hand Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia over to Russia when the right time comes. On the other hand, Czechoslovak Communists called the region Trans-Carpathian Ukraine as early as 1920s and alleged that the local Slavonic population are Ukrainians. The Republic did not want to get involved in the ethnic development. At the time of the "Second Republic", power in Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia was seized by Ukrainian Nationalists, who colluded with Nazis. The former saw Sub-Carpathian Ruthenia as kind of Ukrainian Piemont, which would unite all Ukrainians in one state, while the latter found it a perfect tool to destabilize the USSR by opening up the hot Ukrainian issue. Relations of Czechoslovak security services to Ukrainian Nationalists were really bad. Ukrainian...

Mezi Westbindung a Ostpolitik: Rekonceptualizace německo-ruských vztahů v letech 2014-2017 / Between Westbindung and Ostpolitik: Reconceptualising German-Russian Relations 2014-2017

Jacobs, Jonathan January 2019 (has links)
German-Russian relations have remained strong since the Cold War, despite continuing in traditions of multilateralism and integrated into the Western order. Despite recent tensions and deterioration since the Ukraine Crisis, German-Russian relations are a subject of intense debate between the political parties CDU/CSU and SPD that governed Germany in a coalition from 2014-2017. This thesis utilises a social constructivist method to focus on social factors and party-political legacies relevant in the evolving relationship. It then analyses the evolving discourse of the parties about Russia in the years 2014-2017, focusing on the different ways the discourse uses and connects with the factors and legacies. Although a parallel movement is discerned between the foreign policy positions of the CDU/CSU and SPD, the parties' positions do not converge but remain in conflict about the future of European security, cooperation with Russia and the desired foreign policy role of Germany. Throughout, the analysis suggests that contemporary theories about German-Russian relations and about Germany's foreign policy role should look at the internal debates and factors to get a more complete picture of German foreign policy. Využití nepřímé kalorimetrie v praxi nutričního terapeuta / Use of indirect calorimetry in nutritional therapy

Pokorná, Veronika January 2020 (has links)
Introduction: Indirect calorimetry (IC) is a very accurate and non-invasive method which is used in clinical practice to measure the resting metabolic rate. This method is based on the assumption that oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production and nitrogen metabolite waste are in definite relation to energy consumption. Based on the measurement of resting metabolic rate, a nutritional therapist can individually determine daily energy intake of a respective individual, the optimal amount of specific nutrients and thus prevents excessive or inadequate intake of energy and nutrients. Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to compare for group of overweight patients the results of the measurement of the resting metabolic rate (RMR), values of the resting metabolic rate calculated according to the Harris-Benedict (HB) equation and the actual energy intake calculated from the diet report obtained from the patients. In addition, the body composition of the examined group with a focus on the amount of muscle tissue is also marginally evaluated. Methods: The research sample includes in total 50 persons-36 women and 14 men. These persons are patients of the General Faculty Hospital in Prague. The average age is 46 years for women and 51 years for men. The average BMI for women is 38,2 kg/m2 and for men...

Myšlení v neskrytosti / Thinking in unconcealedness

Zajíc, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is the study of the topic of thinking in the works of Martin Heidegger as one of the possibilities which is one's innermost capability and which is not a mere tool for discovering, but belongs to the way of one's being. Thinking is being mindful of that which is worth remembering and which in itself opens the possibility of encountering the world and one's own self in its original clarity. Through thinking of closeness, the thesis gets to Heidegger's concept of the fourfold and enowning of the world into things and continues with the topic of mortality of one's own Dasein. The thesis then thematises Heidegger's thinking of Greek ALETHEIA as a clearing for showing of a being, which has in its own self remained unthought in the history of philosophy and in which Heidegger sees the role of thinking in the times of completion of the metaphysics. In the interpretation of language, it reveals how language is given to humans, or rather humans are given to language and how language is the house of being and how it essentially constitutes thinking. Alongside language, poesy is examined, in which language speaks as language and where language is shown as the harmony of silence. Poesy is then approached as acquiring measure and Heidegger's interpretation of the nature of human's housing...

An Evaluation of Kilo Voltage Image Quality Produced by an On-Board Imager System

Mobini, Tina January 2015 (has links)
Purpose: The purpose of this project was to evaluate the quality of kilo Voltage- digital radiography images that are provided by an On-Board imager® (OBI) mounted on a medical linear accelerator at the Radiotherapy department of Karolinska University Hospital. The digital kV-images are used to verify patient position on the treatment table, in order to reduce healthy tissue irradiation, using an online orthogonal set of 2D-2D matching technique, before the treatment delivery. Material and methods: The OBI- system elaborated by Varian Medical System offers an exposure factor protocol in order to help users to choice proper exposure factors, as proper tube current and tube voltage, during acquisition of kV-images. In this project several test images were performed by changing the exposure factors. Further the test images quality regarding, quality index contrast, was assessed and compared with the image performed by the existent Varian protocol. Result and Conclusion: Evaluation of the tests images shows that changing of the exposure factors doesn’t result in any significant improvement of kV-images contrast as compared to images created with the existent protocols parameters.

Off-shoring’s Impact on Economic Growth of Developing Countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Buchenko, Olga January 2011 (has links)
This paper investigates the impact of the increased off-shoring in business and manufacturing to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Since the off-shoring process is a relatively new activity, there is no precise definition of how to measure its direct impact on a country’s economy. Thus the study is dedicated to identify the main economic factors associated with off-shoring and to examine their impact on the economic growth. The study has used a dataset on economic characteristics for 9 CEE countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia) during the time period of 2000 - 2008. After applying fixed and random effects econometric model to the panel data for 9 countries, empirical results showed that FDI inflows that enter the country with offshoring processes have a positive influence on the GDP of those countries. Additionally, exports of manufactured products and ICT services are also shown to have a positive influence on GDP. At the same time, indigenous investments and private consumption do have a stronger impact on economic growth compared to foreign direct investments and exports, respectively.

Co-alignment Framework for Evaluating the Implementation of the Tourism Satellite Accounts - A Case study of Tanzania

Sharma, Amit 14 August 2002 (has links)
The poor quality and fragmented state of international statistics for the hospitality and tourism sector lead international organizations like the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations to develop and recognize a universally acceptable framework of tourism statistics. These efforts culminated into the development of the Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA), the very first sector specific Satellite System of Accounts approved by the United Nations. The WTO has since made numerous efforts to promote the implementation of the TSA, more so in the developing countries. While the process is gaining momentum, the implementation of the entire TSA framework is a tedious procedure requiring a high level of financial and non-financial resources. This paradox, of scarce resources required for TSA implementation in developing countries that are in most need of its benefits, has been the crucial motivation for this research project. The present study proposes a framework for evaluating the implementation of the TSA so that the process is manageable and is able to economize on various resources required to implement this comprehensive statistical database. Using Tanzania as the case study, this research verifies the proposed framework for evaluating the TSA's implementation. The underlying model for the proposed implementation framework is the Co-alignment principle from the field of Strategic Management. Evidence of existence of the characteristics of Co-alignment model's components is verified, given the particular experience of TSA implementation in Tanzania. The results suggest that the process in Tanzania is currently misaligned and may require reallocation of certain resources to increase the effectiveness of TSA implementation. In context of the Co-alignment principle, there is evidence that the end-user needs have not been explicitly established. There is also a lack of knowledge regarding gaps that exist between the current statistical databases and how the TSA would be able to fill these shortcomings. This is true for both additional datasets required and the much needed improvements in statistical methodology. Furthermore, there is no clear prioritization of implementation tasks, which is contributing to the lack of financial sustainability of the project. There is indication that the allocation of current resources is misaligned with the requirements for developing institutional capacity, training, stakeholder support, (particularly with the private sector operators) and building a stable legislative framework to support the entire process. Finally, there are no clear performance monitoring and evaluation criteria to assess the ongoing performance of the implementation process as well as that of the entire statistical database. This is crucial to insure effectiveness of the resource allocation process. The conclusions from these observations have been proposed as recommendations to align the process of TSA implementation in Tanzania with the objective of increasing the efficiency of these ongoing efforts at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism. Furthermore, it has been suggested that the proposed evaluation framework can be used for assessing the effectiveness of implementing any generic national or regional statistical database. / Ph. D.

School-Based SLPs’ Perceptions and Attitudes of Leadership

Smith, Mary Catherine, Saliba, Gabrielle 07 April 2022 (has links)
Introduction: The field of SLP continues to expand, posing challenges to academic and clinical preparation of SLPs (Roth, 2015; Mason et al., 2020). According to Carozza (2019), this rapid growth has led to an increase in the roles and responsibilities for SLPs, including managerial and leadership roles. Leadership in healthcare professions is a developing field and has gained new importance with the global COVID-19 pandemic. According to ASHA’s Professional Issues Statement on the roles and responsibilities of Speech-Language Pathologists in schools (ASHA Practice Policy, 2019), leadership is an important core role and responsibility. This leadership role is performed in advocacy, supervision and mentorship, professional development, parent training and research (ASHA, 2016). Current literature reveals an emphasis on leadership in both Interprofessional Education (IPE) and Interprofessional Practice (IPP). This development emphasizes the importance of exploring leadership in school-based SLPs. Secord (2007) stated that SLPs who are in a leadership capacity can profoundly influence school-based practice. Aim: The purpose of this study is to explore leadership from the perspective of school-based SLPs through survey research. Methods: An exploratory, descriptive, quantitative research design was selected to explore the personal perspectives of school-based SLPs regarding their training in, perceptions of, and experiences regarding leadership. An online survey was developed to answer the following research questions: (1) What leadership training have school-based SLPs been exposed to? (2) What leadership positions do school-based SLPs hold? (3) What leadership characteristics do school-based SLPs consider to be essential for leadership in schools? (4) Which specific needs do school-based SLPs have relating to their leadership roles and goals? A total of 112 practicing school-based clinicians acted as respondents. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Thematic analysis was done on the results obtained from the open-ended question. Summary: 92% of the respondents reported that they did not receive any form of leadership education in their graduate program. Only 7% responded that they felt prepared for a leadership position upon graduation. 54% of school-based SLPs reported that they currently hold a leadership position within their school. Some of the leadership characteristics, skills, and strategies identified to be the most important include building trusting relationships; strong collaboration skills; being a good communicator; demonstrating inclusivity; prioritizing students; communicating regularly with teachers; and implementing evidence-based practice. Additionally, the important leadership characteristics to implement during a crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic were identified as effective and clear communication, flexibility, and the ability to provide clear directions to initiate and maintain action. 59% of the respondents indicated that they would be interested in receiving further information on developing leadership skills in the schools, the most popular preferences being continuing education courses, in-service training, and ASHA annual conventions. The findings indicate an urgent need for increased leadership training in SLP graduate institutions, which may serve to increase both the numbers of school-based SLPs who hold a leadership position, as well as the quality of leadership that school-based SLPs provide within their positions.
