Avaliação do PRA e CD30s no transplante renal intervivos. Acompanhamento no 1 ano e após 6 anos em pacientes do Hospital Federal de Bonsucesso (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil) / Evaluation of PRA and CD30s in living donor kidney transplant. Monitoring in the 1st year and after 6 years in patients of Bonsucesso Federal Hospital (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

Maria Izabel Neves de Holanda Barbosa 31 January 2013 (has links)

: Développement, adaptation et application / The ReTransQol : a specific questionnaire to assess the health-related quality of life of renal transplant recipient : Development, adaptation and application.

Beauger, Davy 08 December 2014 (has links)
The inclusion of the concept of quality of life (QOL) is indicative of a profound change in the way of practicing medicine, particularly in the field of nephrology for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD). Given the prevalence, incidence and mortality of this disease in France, it seemed important, even essential, to measure properly, appropriately and consistently, the QOL of patients with ESRD. Health related quality of life (HRQOL) is therefore an important indicator of results to evaluate the consequences of this disease, the effect of medical procedures, treatment effects, or the impact of health policies. In 2007, after a study of literature concerning the assessment of QOL's scales of patients with ESRD, it was revealed a certain lack, quantitative or qualitative, of specific questionnaires for measuring QOL for ESRD patients validated in French, especially for patients with a functioning kidney transplant. In 2008, a specific scale has been developed and validated to measure the QOL of renal transplant recipients: the ReTransQol (Renal Transplant Quality of life questionnaire). After 5 years of use and application of ReTransQol in different national studies, this tool has been improved and a new version was created: the ReTransQol V2 (or RTQ V2). After lots of analysis, this scale has currently good psychometric properties and has been validated in various populations. The RTQ V2 is also used in international studies (Brazil, Germany, Canada ...), and a cross-cultural validation of the scale is planned. The ReTransQol V2 is a specific tool to assess the HRQOL and is suitable for a routine use among renal transplant recipients.

Pre-operative patient education for patients undergoing kidney transplant as viewed by nephrology nurses

Maake, Pauline Mmaletshabo 04 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to determine the views of nephrology nurses regarding pre-operative education prior to kidney transplant. The study was conducted in Nephrology Ward in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Qualitative descriptive design was used. Purposive non-probability sampling was used until data saturation occurred. Target population were registered nurses working in the Nephrology Unit. Both male and female nurses aged between 25 and 59 years working for a period of at least one year in the Nephrology Unit were included in the study. Data saturation was reached after interviewing 15 nephrology nurses. Themes and categories emerged from adopting Creswell’s (2013) “data analysis spiral”. Some of the key findings were that pre-operative patient education is a multidisciplinary team approach and that psychosocial aspects of the patients should be taken into consideration before educating the patients. Conclusions were drawn and recommendations were also made from findings of this study. Ultimately, key recommendations were that there is a need to train and empower nurses in importance of delivering pre-operative education and that expatriate nurses have access to Arabic speakers to overcome language barriers while educating the patients / Health Studies / M.A. (Health Studies)
