Genetické algoritmy a rozvrhování / Genetic Algorithms and SchedulingŠkrabal, Ondřej January 2010 (has links)
This work deals with scheduling problem in particular plastic production service. The solution is based on heuristic algorithms, programming languages C + +, C # and is built on the .NET framework and LINQ to XML. It provides the users with comparisons of the heuristic approach with genetic algorithms applied to production problem. All methods results are compared in relation to hand-arranged plans.

Use of the Medtronic REVEAL LINQ implantable loop recorder in patients after Mustard or Senning procedure: Medtronic LINQ after Mustard / Senning procedurePiegsa, Julia, Markel, Franziska, Dähnert, Ingo, Michaelis, Anna, Gebauer, Roman Antonin, Paech, Christian 22 July 2021 (has links)
Background: Patients with d-transposition of the great arteries after Senning or Mustard procedure are at increased risk for arrhythmias. Especially atrial arrhythmias represent a major threat in this patient population. Early detection of clinical and subclinical arrhythmias may prevent major cardiac events. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the ability of the Medtronic REVEAL LINQ to detect atrial arrhythmias in adult patients after atrial switch procedure and compare the effectiveness of detecting clinically relevant arrhythmias to conventional Holter monitoring.
METHODS: The database of the Heart Center Leipzig, Department for pediatric cardiology was analyzed for patients after atrial switch procedure and implantation of a Medtronic REVEAL LINQ (Medtronic Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota). After informed consent was obtained, patients were followed up for 1 year including Holter ECG tracings and device interrogation every 3 months. In addition, symptoms were determined using a standardized questionnaire completed by the patient.
RESULTS: The analysis is based on 10 patients aged 34.5 years (range 27-46 years), of which 8 had a Senning - and 2 had a Mustard procedure. The comparison of the number of arrhythmia episodes detected by Holter and LINQ showed significantly more detected episodes using LINQ (p 0.014). Data showed that no therapy adjustments were recorded as a consequence of Holter ECG findings, whereas two changes in medication were documented due to arrhythmia detection via LINQ. When analyzing possible correlations between subjective symptoms reported in the standardized questionnaire and the number of episodes documented, there was a significant correlation of subjective symptoms and arrhythmia episodes in LINQ (p 0.014), whereas no correlation could be demonstrated between subjective symptoms and the number of episodes detected by Holter monitoring (p 0.394).
CONCLUSION: In patients after Senning or Mustard procedure, the Medtronic REVEAL LINQ seems to be superior in the identification of subclinical arrhythmia burden in comparison to standard Holter ECG.

Podpora pro práci s XML u databázového serveru Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / Support for XML in Microsoft SQL Server 2008Bábíčková, Radka Unknown Date (has links)
This thesis is focused on XML and related technologies. The XML language is directly linked to the databases and its support in databases. The overview of the XML support provided by various database products and systems are presented in this work. Support in the MS SQL Server 2008 is discussed in more detail starting with the mapping of relational data to XML and vice versa to support of the XML data type and work with it through XQuery. Also some indexing techniques are briefly presented. Finally, the support in MS SQL Server 2008 is demonstrated by means of a sample application, which verifes the theoretical knowledge in practice.

Využití návrhových vzorů při tvorbě softwaru / Usage of Design Patterns in Software DevelopmentVolf, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.

Implementation och utvärdering av fika-applikation : En Design Science Research studie / Implementation and evaluation of a Fika-application : A Design Science Research studyLindblad, Adam January 2023 (has links)

Performance Evaluation of LINQ to HPC and Hadoop for Big DataSivasubramaniam, Ravishankar 01 January 2013 (has links)
There is currently considerable enthusiasm around the MapReduce paradigm, and the distributed computing paradigm for analysis of large volumes of data. The Apache Hadoop is the most popular open source implementation of MapReduce model and LINQ to HPC is Microsoft's alternative to open source Hadoop. In this thesis, the performance of LINQ to HPC and Hadoop are compared using different benchmarks.
To this end, we identified four benchmarks (Grep, Word Count, Read and Write) that we have run on LINQ to HPC as well as on Hadoop. For each benchmark, we measured each system’s performance metrics (Execution Time, Average CPU utilization and Average Memory utilization) for various degrees of parallelism on clusters of different sizes. Results revealed some interesting trade-offs. For example, LINQ to HPC performed better on three out of the four benchmarks (Grep, Read and Write), whereas Hadoop performed better on the Word Count benchmark. While more research that is extensive has focused on Hadoop, there are not many references to similar research on the LINQ to HPC platform, which is slowly evolving during the writing of this thesis.
