Verifying the I/O System for the new Aircraft Simulator at SaabErlingborn, Jesper January 2015 (has links)
This thesis revolves around how to verify that the new aircraft simulator that is currently under development at Saab Aeronautics functions as intended. Because the system is still under development, the assignment is about developing various suggestions on how to verify that the new simulator is working properly. After various test proposals have been developed for the system, I will put them to the test with the help of National Instruments software. I will also make a world study to compare how other companies develop their simulators.

This Thesis deals with proposal, implementation and testing of a program for detection of objects to be manipulated and a program for control of robotic arm Melfa RV-2AJ manipulating with these objects. The Theoretical part describes selected algorithms for object detection using a Basler camera and introduces options for controlling the robotic arm Melfa RV-2AJ. The Practical part focuses on development and implementation of a program in the LabVIEW Development Environment for object detection using LabVIEW module NI Vision Acquisition Software and NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection. Furthermore it describes the development of a program for control of robotic arm Melfa RV-2AJ with use of the LabVIEW module for Mitsubishi robot control called Imaging Lab. The program has been tested by a set of testing tasks and the test results subsequently used for suggestions for functionality improvements.

Automatic control of a model elevator based on NI LabVIEW and myRIOStorfors, Anton January 2018 (has links)
This project aims to use the myRIO embedded device with programming development software, LabVIEW, for the education of automatic control in association with the course Control Engineering (Reglerteknik) in Uppsala University. The myRIO is a portable reconfigurable I/O (RIO) device developed by National Instruments for students to use for designing control, signal processing, robotics, and mechatronics systems. It contains a Xilinx FPGA and a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 micro-controller that can be programmed with LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench). The control system that the project is concerned with is to control a model elevator which, available for the project, is a cabinet driven by a DC motor up and down along two steel poles. It is a representative control system, containing all possible components of a feedback control system, i.e., controlled process, actuator, controller, sensor. The elevator (the controlled process) has three floors with pre-specified heights. The height is determined by an ultrasonic sensor (for feedback). The motor (the actuator) is controlled by a PID (proportional-integral-derivative) controller. The specifications for the control system implemented are given beforehand, in particular, the parameters related to system performance such as stability, responsiveness and accuracy (or residual error), as well as real time display of operating information. The motor driver (a H-bridge circuit) for the motor and the circuit for the information have been built. The myRIO is used to implement the PID controller, handle the set point specifying floor number, manage the sensor measurements. The whole elevator control system has been implemented and tested. The test results show that the control system works well and fulfills the given specifications. Further work on improvements for the project is suggested. The myRIO is shown to be an excellent device well suited for the education of control engineering.

de detec ção sí ncrona (lock-in).
O objetivo

Nodal Resistance Measurement SystemPutta, Sunil Kumar 05 1900 (has links)
The latest development in the measurement techniques has resulted in fast improvements in the instruments used for measurement of various electrical quantities. A common problem in such instruments is the automation of acquiring, retrieving and controlling the measurements by a computer or a laptop. In this study, nodal resistance measurement (NRM) system is developed to solve the above problem. The purpose of this study is to design and develop a compact electronic board, which measures electrical resistance, and a computer or a laptop controls the board. For the above purpose, surface nodal points are created on the surface of the sample electrically conductive material. The nodal points are connected to the compact electronic board and this board is connected to the computer. The user selects the nodal points, from the computer, between which the NRM system measures the electrical resistance and displays the measured quantity on the computer.

Algoritmy pro zpracování a analýzu RFID signálu v FPGA / Algorithms for analysis and processing of RFID signals in FPGAHarvánek, Michal January 2015 (has links)
The result of this thesis is the architecture design for a software-defined radio, which is used to analyze the signal emitted by RFID tags in real time. The aim of this analysis is to measure the frequency characteristics of the RFID tag. The main means for achieving the objective of optimizing signal processing algorithms and reduce the time needed to control the hardware compared to the classical concept of SW radio USRP. It is described how to obtain and display digitally sampled signals using a graphical programming language LabVIEW and subsequent processing of these data in MATLAB. Further described is the skeleton of the proposed solution.
