Fazendo filmes na Ilha: produção de audiovisual como linha de fuga em Cotijuba, periferia de Belém / Making movies on the Island: audiovisual production as an escape line Cotijuba, outskirts of Belém

Nélia Lucia Fonseca 30 August 2013 (has links)
Making films on the island is a mapping of the ways in which a group of young female participants and the assiduous Cineclube Bethlehem on the island of Insular Cotijuba (Belém do Pará) appropriating the images produced by the various technological devices to express brands territorial environmental they live. Analyzes productions undertaken by them and checks whether express drain lines to existing forms and audiovisual formats or just reflect the sound and visual clichés, beyond the slogans, spread by the mass media. This research arises due to the cheapness, ease of handling and transmission offered by the development of information and communication technologies, which have enabled new forms of relationship with the images. If before the production and dissemination of audiovisual productions were controlled by means of mass communication in the form a / everyone today, anyone with a cell phone, a camera or a video camera amateur is capable of producing a film / video and shares it through social networks and especially through channels like "youtube". Thus, once isolated areas like the island of Cotijuba will have access to information and glocal logais that are reflected in new processes of subjectivity, transforming ways of thinking / acting and feeling in the region. The conceptual field circulates between Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari and others post structuralist, and specific references, area and audiovisual arts.

Return to London Below: Space and Subjectivity in Neil Gaiman's Neverehere

Lin, Shih-jie Unknown Date (has links)
In Neil Gaiman’s first novel Neverwhere, adapted from the original namesake BBC television serial, the protagonist Richard Mayhew is a forced traveler, exploring the territory of imaginary London Below, in which Richard fails to grasp the sense. The “London Below,” the buried and repressed past by the “London Above,” is full of chaos, violence. Observing the invisible cities of the multiple other which used to escape his unitary way of seeing, Richard’s vision of the familiar/homely city gets blurred, defiant. However, events in London Below always disturb but at the same time uncannily refer to those of the London Above, which makes his journey in London Below an uncanny one. This thesis is going to discuss palimpsestic London space and the role of Richard Mayhew as flâneur and Richard’s final decision as a line of flight.

Olsson Nyhammar, Carlo January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to read Bruno Schulz’s The Cinnamon Shops through the theoretical framework of Deleuze and Guattari, focusing on the relation between territorialization, deterritorialization and reterritorialization. This is investigated through examples from the The Cinnamon Shops, focusing on different aspects of how territorialization is portrayed in Bruno Schulz’s corpus. The goal is to show how the stories of Bruno Schulz are structured around various forms of territorializations, be it the home, the family shop or the town in itself. However, those territories are almost always negated through deterritorializing acts. In this act we get to face something new, something temporary and fragile, which in itself creates the essential crack or leakage in the text. Those acts of deterritorialization can’t be allowed to continue undisturbed but must be shut down through various forms of reterritorialization. This form of reading is only possible when the text is seen as a rhizomatic structure, with no clear center or periphery. It is brought forward how each of those texts are segmented in various manners, either binary or linear, which affects how the territorializing acts can be perceived.
