The role of parents as active intervention agents is, however, highly recommended. The More Than Words-HANEN Program has been specifically created for parents of children, under five years of age, who are in the autism spectrum. This intervention aims at improving the social competence and language comprehension of the child, as well as their parents empowerment. Until now only three studies have been performed in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the HMTW program. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the effects of an early intervention program inspired on HMTW model on the level of caregiver responsiveness and child communication skills. The present study adds to the existing research literature on family-centered early intervention that uses a developmental paradigm. A two year boy in risk for autism, his mother and nanny took part in this investigation, which was carried out in the child?s home in Mossor?, Rio Grande do Norte. The caretakers were given one fifty-two hours of training, divided into thirteen weekly meetings. A quasi-experimental A-B-C design (baselineintervention- follow-up) showed improvement in the caretakers level of responsiveness and meaningful social-communicative gains in the child?s response / Nas ?ltimas d?cadas, estudos em interven??o precoce realizados com crian?as com risco de autismo concluem n?o haver uma abordagem ?nica que possa ser aplicada a todas as crian?as com essa s?ndrome. Recomenda-se, no entanto, que os pais sejam envolvidos como agentes ativos nas interven??es de tratamento. O More Than Words-HANEN (HMTW) ? um programa de capacita??o criado especificamente para pais de crian?as menores de cinco anos de idade, as quais apresentam caracter?sticas de Transtornos do Espectro do Autismo TEA. A interven??o tem como objetivo a melhoria da compet?ncia social e da compreens?o da linguagem da crian?a, bem como a responsividade das cuidadoras. At? a atualidade, foram produzidos apenas tr?s estudos com o objetivo de avaliar a efic?cia da capacita??o HMTW. A presente pesquisa visa ampliar o campo de investiga??o em interven??o precoce focada na fam?lia sob a abordagem desenvolvimentista, avaliando os efeitos da implementa??o de um programa de interven??o precoce, inspirado na capacita??o do modelo HMTW. Participaram do estudo um menino de dois anos, com risco de autismo, sua m?e e sua bab?. A pesquisa, conduzida na resid?ncia da crian?a, localizada na cidade de Mossor?/RN, utilizou delineamento quase experimental do tipo A-B-C (linha de base, tratamento e acompanhamento). Síntese e avaliação catalítica das zeólitas com estrutura BEA, MFI e MTW na reação de Knoevenagel / Synthesis and catalytic evaluation of zeolites with structure BEA, MFI and MTW in knoevenagel reaction

Inside this context, are even smaller the number of studies on the use of as-synthesized zeolites as basic catalysts. Zeolites are crystalline hydrated aluminosilicates that have a pores size well-defined. Many of zeolite structures need organic compounds to be synthesized, these compounds are called structure directing agents. Zeolites containing organic cations (as-synthesized) have basic properties and can be used as catalysts in reactions that require this type of catalytic site. In this work were investigated three zeolites structures widely studied in the literature, BEA, MFI and MTW. Zeolites were synthesized with different compositions (ratio Si/Al) in the reaction mixture. Addition to the conventional synthesis were performed modifications using an organosilane (TPOAC - trimethoxysilyl-propyl-octadecylammonio chloride) in the synthesis of structures MFI and MTW. Were obtained, for the three structures, samples with different Si/Al ratios, some of them containing organosilane. The samples were characterized and used as catalysts in the Knoevenagel condensation. For all samples the increase of the Si/Al ratio increased the number of species [≡Si O ][TEA+]. The characterization and catalytic conversion show that for BEA zeolite only one portion of the species [≡Si O ][TEA+] were available for the reaction. The samples modified with organosilane (TPOAC) were the most active, especially with MTW structure. This increased activity is related to the modification that the organosilane promoted on the surface of the particles. The addition of organosilane favored the increase of the Si/Al ratio on the surface and this may be related to better conversion results. In this work, we propose new efficient catalysts, with zeolitic structure, for reactions involving basic sites. / O uso de zeólitas em catálise básica ainda é muito pequeno, principalmente quando comparado às inúmeras aplicações de material em sua forma ácida. Dentro desse contexto, é menor ainda o número de estudos sobre a utilização de zeólitas tal como sintetizadas como catalisadores básicos. Zeólitas são aluminosilicatos hidratados cristalinos que possuem um tamanho de poros muito bem definidos. Muitas das estruturas zeolíticas precisam de compostos orgânicos para serem sintetizadas, esses compostos são chamados de direcionadores de estrutura. Zeólitas contendo cátions orgânicos (tal como sintetizadas) possuem propriedades básicas e podem ser usadas como catalisadores em reação que necessitam esse tipo de sítio catalítico. Nesse trabalho foram investigadas 3 estruturas zeólitas bastante estudadas na literatura, BEA, MFI e MTW. As zeólitas foram sintetizadas com diferentes composições (razão Si/Al) na mistura reacional. Além da síntese convencional foram realizadas também modificações usando um organossilano (TPOAC Cloreto de Trimetoxisilil-propil-octadecilamônio) na síntese das estruturas MFI e MTW. Foram obtidas, para as 3 estruturas, amostras com diferentes razões Si/Al, algumas delas contendo organossilano. As amostras foram caraterizadas e usadas como catalisadores na reação de condensação de Knoevenagel. Para todas as amostras o aumento da razão Si/Al levou ao aumento da quantidade das espécies [≡Si O ][TEA+]. As caracterizações e os resultados de conversão catalítica mostram que para a zeólita BEA apenas parte das espécies [≡Si O ][TEA+] estavam na superfície disponíveis para a reação. As amostras modificadas com organossilano (TPOAC) foram as mais ativas, principalmente as com estrutura MTW. Essa maior atividade está relacionada a modificação que o organossilano promoveu na superfície das partículas. A adição de organossilano favoreceu o aumento da razão Si/Al na superfície e isso pode estar relacionado aos melhores resultados de conversão. Nesse trabalho, propomos novos catalisadores eficientes, a base de zeólitas, para reações que envolvam sítios básicos.

Transport optimal : régularité et applications / Optimal Transport : Regularity and applications

Cette thèse comporte deux parties distinctes, toutes les deux liées à la théorie du transport optimal. Dans la première partie, nous considérons une variété riemannienne, deux mesures à densité régulière et un coût de transport, typiquement la distance géodésique quadratique et nous nous intéressons à la régularité de l’application de transport optimal. Le critère décisif à cette régularité s’avère être le signe du tenseur de Ma-Trudinger-Wang (MTW). Nous présentons tout d’abord une synthèse des travaux réalisés sur ce tenseur. Nous nous intéressons ensuite au lien entre la géométrie des lieux d’injectivité et le tenseur MTW. Nous montrons que dans de nombreux cas, la positivité du tenseur MTW implique la convexité des lieux d’injectivité. La deuxième partie de cette thèse est liée aux équations aux dérivées partielles. Certaines peuvent être considérées comme des flots gradients dans l’espace de Wasserstein W2. C’est le cas de l’équation de Keller-Segel en dimension 2. Pour cette équation nous nous intéressons au problème de quantification de la masse lors de l’explosion des solutions ; cette explosion apparaît lorsque la masse initiale est supérieure à un seuil critique Mc. Nous cherchons alors à montrer qu’elle consiste en la formation d’un Dirac de masse Mc. Nous considérons ici un modèle particulaire en dimension 1 ayant le même comportement que l’équation de Keller-Segel. Pour ce modèle nous exhibons des bassins d’attractions à l’intérieur desquels l’explosion se produit avec seulement le nombre critique de particules. Finalement nous nous intéressons au profil d’explosion : à l’aide d’un changement d’échelle parabolique nous montrons que la structure de l’explosion correspond aux points critiques d’une certaine fonctionnelle. / This thesis consists in two distinct parts both related to the optimal transport theory.The first part deals with the regularity of the optimal transport map. The key tool is the Ma-Trundinger-Wang tensor and especially its positivity. We first give a review of the known results about the MTW tensor. We then explore the geometrical consequences of the MTW tensor on the injectivity domain. We prove that in many cases the positivity of MTW implies the convexity of the injectivity domain. The second part is devoted to the behaviour of a Keller-Segel solution in the super critical case. In particular we are interested in the mass quantization problem: we wish to quantify the mass aggregated when the blow-up occurs. In order to study the behaviour of the solution we consider a particle approximation of a Keller-Segel type equation in dimension 1. We define this approximation using the gradient flow interpretation of the Keller-Segel equation and the particular structure of the Wasserstein space in dimension 1. We show two kinds of results; we first prove a stability theorem for the blow-up mechanism: we exhibit basins of attraction in which the solution blows up with only the critical number of particles. We then prove a rigidity theorem for the blow-up mechanism: thanks to a parabolic rescaling we prove that the structure of the blow-up is given by the critical points of a certain functional.
