M.Ed. (Language Teaching) / The lack of proper regard for language variation and the heterogeneous nature of language in the teaching of Afrikaans First Language Secondary Phase caused various problems. Not only individuals but the whole Afrikaans language community and the language itself suffered. Language variation is actually recognised in the learning content and teaching approach of the latest Afrikaans First Language syllabus. However, because of the inadequate recognition in the syllabus and the current complexity of the Afrikaans language community, it is necessary to provide guidelines for augmenting the syllabus to improve the teaching-learning situation. This study therefore proposes appropriate learning content with regard to the heterogeneous nature of language, language variation and specific problems in the Afrikaans language community. In order to accommodate all the varieties of Afrikaans and speakers of these varieties in the teaching-learning situation, a multi-variety approach is recommended. With that in mind a strategy to implement a multi-variety approach and the teaching of the complex phenomenon, language variation in Afrikaans First Language Secondary Phase is proposed.

No entanto, ainda há conteúdos que necessitam um olhar atento como, por exemplo, a Geometria. Hoje nota-se que este conteúdo ainda é motivo de várias discussões e pesquisas, refletindo as dificuldades que os professores apresentam em lecioná-lo. Esta situação colabora para que os professores procurem materiais que possam ajudá-los nas dúvidas decorrentes de seu dia a dia em sala de aula, sendo o mais comum deles o livro didático. Dessa forma, considerando a importância deste material didático e da Geometria, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando o método de Análise de Conteúdo, procurando discutir o seguinte problema: Como alguns conteúdos geométricos estão presentes nos livros didáticos. Tendo como objetivo realizar a análise de alguns livros de Matemática utilizados na Rede Municipal de Rio Claro - SP, no 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental, e aprovados pelo PNLD. A primeira categoria, Aspectos Cotidianos, examinou como os livros têm desenvolvido a relação entre os aspectos cotidianos e a Geometria, e se esta ligação tem levado ou não o aluno a compreender, conhecer ou modificar o meio no qual está inserido; considerando que essa relação deve estar além do trabalho envolvendo apenas o uso de figuras cotidianas, semelhantes às geométricas. Já a segunda categoria, Manipulação e Concretização, analisou a questão da utilização dos materiais manipuláveis, como ela é realizada, ou qual o objetivo que a atividade propõe com sua utilização, ou ainda que papel eles desenvolvem em cada livro analisado. A terceira categoria, Nomenclatura, Identificação e Composição, apontou que apesar da literatura afirmar ser importante que o ensino das figuras geométricas envolva suas propriedades e características, a presente pesquisa constatou que o foco nos livros ainda está em apenas nomeá-las e identifica-las. Por fim, a quarta categoria, Relações entre as figuras bidimensionais e tridimensionais, expôs a importância de mostrar ao aluno a relação existente entre as figuras bidimensionais e tridimensionais; porém, essa relação foi pouco observada nos livros analisados. Enfim, este estudo também envolveu a análise das resenhas apresentadas no Guia do Livro Didático (BRASIL, 2013), trazendo o "olhar" do PNLD sobre cada obra, observando qual a avaliação e os resultados que este programa do governo faz sobre elas / Abstract: With the passage of time many changes have occurred in the process of teaching and learning, changes ranging from teaching methodologies to the training of professionals. However, there is contents that need a closer look, for example, the geometry. Today we note that this content is still a matter of much discussion and research, reflecting the difficulties that teachers have in teaches it. This contributes to teachers seek materials that can help them with questions arising from their day to day in the classroom, the most common of the textbook. Thus, considering the importance of this educational material and geometry, developed a qualitative research, using content analysis method, trying to discuss the following problem: As some geometric contents are present in textbooks. Aiming to carry out the analysis of some math books used in the Municipal Net of Rio Claro - SP, in the 5th year of elementary school, and approved by PNLD. The first category, Everyday aspects, examined how the books have developed the relationship between the daily aspects and Geometry, and this link has led or not the student to understand, know or modify the environment in which it is inserted; considering that this relationship should be beyond work involving only the use of daily figures, similar to the geometric. The second category, Handling and Implementation, addressed the issue of the use of manipulatives, as it is performed, or what purpose the proposed activity with their use, or what role they develop in the analyzed book. The third category, classification, identification and composition, pointed out that despite the literature stating it was important that the teaching of geometric figures involving their properties and characteristics, this survey found that the focus is still on the books only name them and identify them . Finally, the fourth category, relations between two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures, explained the importance of showing students the relationship between the two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures; However, this correlation was slightly observed in the analyzed books. There is a lack of public awareness in regards to nutrition education because of the limited amount of visits made to the WIC office by these participants. Take home material was designed to reinforce the curriculum taught in the WIC classroom. Learning the skills provided, these WIC families will discover new ways to promote family togetherness and opportunities to discuss and implement healthy eating and living habits.

Discrete trial instruction (DTI) and naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs) are often incorporated into early intensive behavioral interventions for young children with autism. Recent advances in staff training methods have demonstrated that self-instructional manuals, video models, and computer-based training are effective and efficient ways to improve staff implementation of these teaching strategies however research in this area is limited. The current evaluation assessed the effects of a computer-based training package including self-instructional manuals with embedded video models on direct-care staff’s implementation of DTI and an NDBI. All participants’ DTI teaching fidelity increased during role-plays with an adult and with a child with autism and all participants increased teaching fidelity across untrained instructional programs. In addition, moderate improvement was demonstrated following NDBI training on the use of correct prompts, environmental arrangements, and response interaction. Together, these results indicate that therapists are able to acquire a large number of skills using two teaching techniques, DTI and NDBI, following brief computer-based training.

The thesis also analyses competitive estate agencies on the market, compares their productivity and specifies rights and responsibility for each position in the newly establishing estate agency.

Inom socialtjänsten används allt mer standardiseringsmanualer och bedömningsmodeller i socialt arbete samtidigt som forskning visar att relationen är en grund och en förutsättning för allt klientarbete. Det finns antydan till att relationen mellan klient och socialarbetare blivit mer administrativ och juridisk till följd av strukturella krav. Det finns därför ett behov av att undersöka hur kraven på standardiseringsmanualer påverkar klienterna och relationen mellan klient och socialsekreterare. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka socialsekreterarens uppfattningar om relationens betydelse i det sociala arbetet samt om standardiseringsmanualer har en påverkan på relationen mellan socialsekreterare och klient. Studien har utgått från en kvalitativ ansats och som datainsamlingsmetod använt semistrukturerade intervjuer. Resultatet visar bland annat att en god relation mellan socialsekreterare och klient är betydelsefull för socialt arbete. I resultatet framkommer också att standardiseringsmanualer, trots att de är viktiga, påverkar möjligheterna att skapa en god relation. / The social services use of standardization manuals and assessment models are increasing at the same time as research shows that the relationship is the foundation and a prerequisite for all client work. There is a hint that the relationship between client and social worker has become more administrative and legal as a result of structural requirements. Therefore there is a need to study how the requirements for standardization manuals affect clients and the relationship between client and social worker. The purpose of this study is to examine the social secretary's perceptions of the relationship's importance in social work and whether standardization manuals have an impact on the relationship between social worker and client. The study was based on a qualitative approach where semi-structured interviews was used as data collection method. The results show, among other things, that a good relationship between social workers and client is significant for social work. The results also show that standardization manuals, despite being important, affect the opportunities to create a good relationship.
