Crescimento e caracterização de soluções sólidas óxidas. / Growth and caracterization of the oxides solid solutions.Andreeta, Jose Pedro 26 September 1984 (has links)
Systematic growth experiments by flux method of the oxides solid solutions of GdAlO3:Cr3+ (perovskite type) were done with several solvents compositions. The doping (Cr3+) and solvent (Pb) concentrations profiles in selected samples, and the effetive segregations coefficient were determined and compared with those obtained by Czochralski method. Theoretical models for crystal growth process were developed to understand the experimental results, and others are proposed to give alternative treatment on several growing parameters like thermal fluctuations, geometric crystal shape, secondary nucleations, doping evaporations, chemical reactions and growth stability effects in the solid solutions homogeneity. Due to scientific and technological interest, also were grown other perovskite crystals like GdAlO3:La3+, LaAlO3:Cr3+ and NdAlO3:La3+ by flux method and GdAlO3:Cr3+:La3+ by Czochralski method and the results are descrived in the present work.

Ilgalaikių greitumo ir jėgos fizinių krūvių įtaka griaučių raumenų anaerobiniam pajėgumui / Permanent quickness and power manual loads influence on skeleton muscle anaerobic potentialŠerpytis, Dainius 31 May 2006 (has links)
Work purpose – to determine permanent quickness and power manual loads influence on skeleton muscle anaerobic potential. 11 of the best Lithuanian short distance runners and 8 persons, who do not go in for sports, were attending in research. Also, there were used adequate testing results and trainings processes information of 8 world short distance runners. They took anthropometrical information measurements from researched, body mass index was estimated (BMI), maximum and comparative legs muscles power was assessed, maximum running and 60m drubbing speed measured. Gained results showed that the best world short distance runners reached better maximum running speed, but maximum and comparative muscles power indicators were not differ from Lithuanians short distance runners. Persons, who do not go in for sports, maximum and relative powers and maximum running speed meaning in worse than researched Lithuanian short distance runners, who go in for sports. When they were running 60m only 10m they were going faster than the best world short distance runners. Persons, who do not go in for sports run 60m distance slower than other researched group members. They also reached slower speed increase and after 50m they got tired. When the best Lithuanian short distance runners of annual training facts were analyzed then came out that in annual training cycle was applied more exercises which needed power and had higher power indicators. Thus, Lithuanian short distance runners faster run 6... [to full text]

Relationship between horizontal jump tests and sprint performanceKleeberger, Adam 30 September 2020 (has links)
Athletic performance assessments are important for identifying physical giftedness, monitoring athlete progress and supporting training recommendations. Sprint performance is a key component in athlete success both in athletics and field-based sports, and talent identification testing batteries often include sprint and jump assessments. Jumping and sprinting share a number of similar characteristics and research has shown that the relationships between sprint and jump tests depend on the recorded segment of the sprinting task, type of jump performed, and the speed and sex of the athlete. The majority of this research has been conducted in small, single sex, similar athlete cohorts and there has yet to be an analysis of a large cohorts multi-sport population with both male and female groups. Understanding the relationships between sprint ability and horizontal jump performance, based on large groups of athletes separated by sex can provide great insight into the shared and independent value of sprint and jump performance tests to support athlete testing and development. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between horizontal jump tests and sprint performance within different athlete sexes and sprint ability. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study with a large population sample of multisport athletes, with differing sprint and jump abilities. The associations and relationships between horizontal jump performance in standing broad jump (SBJ) and standing triple jump (STJ) with 0-10m and 30-40m sprint time in a group of athletes participating in a talent identification event were investigated in this study. Correlations and linear regressions were assessed with athletes grouped only by sex (male (n = 742), and female (n = 610)), and then grouped by sex and speed (fast = -0.5 SD, slow = +0.5 SD) for both 0-10m and 30-40m time separately. When grouped only by sex there were very large and large associations between sprint and jump measures (r = -0.533 to -0.717), and linear regression equations explained 37.4% to 55.5% of the variance. When grouped by sex and speed, slow athletes showed stronger associations (r = -0.353 to -0.488) than fast athletes (r = -0.088to -0.307). Linear regressions explained 20.3% to 28.5% of the variance in slow athletes, but only up to 12.0% of the variance explained in fast athletes. Linear regressions in slow and fast males all included SBJ as a predictor, but not STJ. Linear regressions in slow and fast females all included STJ as a predictor, but not SBJ. Overall, these results support the use of general sprint and jump tests for slower athletes, the importance of both sprint and jumps tests with higher resolution in faster athletes, as well as the utility of different jump tests to evaluate lower limb performance between sexes. / Graduate

The large growth of the car fleet in developing countries has led to a significant improvement in population productivity and well-being, but the intensification of vehicle traffic has also led to an increase in the number of traffic accidents and fatalities. Amid this scenario, the UN, through WHO, proposed in May 2011 that the governments should pay more attention to such an issue and established a goal of reducing the number of accidents, based on proposals for adjustments in traffic management, among them the maximum speed reduction. In this environment, Fernando Haddad started his mandate of Mayor in São Paulo City in 2013 and proposed to make urban mobility management one of the marks of his government. From this, the mayor, through CET-SP, proposed a series of interventions in the city traffic, one of which was the change of the maximum speed allowed in some city roads. This policy was based on the success achieved in developed countries in reducing accidents with this mechanism, but the international studies on the subject question whether the performance of the reduction of the accidents due to the change in the maximum speed allowed in developing countries would have the same effectiveness demonstrated in developed countries. This questioning was made by international researches, due to the difficulty of the developing countries in making the practice of laws and public policies effective. The basis of accidents reported by insurers in the São Paulo city, grouped by roads, and the use of econometric differences-in-differences methodology are the reference of this research identification strategy. The results show that the reduction of maximum speed in São Paulo was neutral in relation to accidents; therefore, it will be necessary to seek other mechanisms to effectively reduce the number of accidents in the city.
