Esta pesquisa é construída através de uma investigação poética sobre o processo de criação do Mapeamento Geoperceptivo de espaços experenciados, que reúne em inventários coleções de imagens de espaços abandonados urbanos encontrados por meio de percursos realizados na cidade de Pelotas-RS. Revisita conceitos e noções de outras áreas, como a geografia, a história e a filosofia para definir os espaços experenciados como o encontro do corpo no espaço e tempo, assim como refere-se a errância no contexto da arte para pensar os modos operatórios do trabalho. Procura uma compreensão das linguagens, da fotografia, da impressão e do compartilhamento usadas em consonância com a poética e importante para a área. Os espaços experenciados estão reunidos em grupos de trabalhos organizados em dois inventários conforme o modo a linguagem utilizada. O Inventário UM reúne trabalhos sobre o uso da fotografia enquanto registro de um instante, referindo-se ao documento e ao colecionismo. São apresentados com diferentes dispositivos, como registro digital e por meio de reprodução. O Inventário DOIS concentra os trabalhos que discutem a digitalização, o múltiplo e o compartilhamento. A digitalização dos desenhos é recorrente criando, a possibilidade de reproduzi-las e compartilha-las. As imagens possuem caracter de múltiplos e tem objetivo da circulação. Por fim os trabalhos expressam sobre a memória e o espaço, memorar através da reprodução de imagens, fazendo uma crítica sobre o mau uso do espaço coletivo. A tese refere-se aos trabalhos da poética que tem como resposta ativar a memória espacial trazendo uma leitura perspectiva que questiona o uso da cidade e como a percebemos. / This research is built through poetic research on the process of creating Geoperceptive Mapping of Experienced Spaces. The research, which gathers in inventory collections of abandoned urban spaces, found through routes designed in the city of Pelotas-RS. It revisits concepts and notions of other areas such as geography, history and philosophy to define the experienced spaces as the encounter of the body in space-time, just as it refers to the wandering in the context of art to think about the operative modes of work. O objetivo desta dissertação é analisar o romance Brick Lane (2003), da escritora Monica Ali, focalizando o processo de empoderamento da protagonista Nazneen. Usando os conceitos de lugar e não-lugar propostos por Marc Augé, pretendo examinar passagens do romance que caracterizem a sensação de não-pertencimento vivida pela personagem. Nazneen recorre às memórias de sua infância com a irmã Hasina em Bangladesh para tentar se distanciar do espaço físico de Brick Lane (a comunidade onde reside em Londres), que se constitui em um não-lugar, pois ali não é possível reconstruir sua identidade fragmentada pelo deslocamento de uma cultura para outra. Considerando aspectos históricos e culturais de Bangladesh, terra natal de Nazneen, este trabalho pretende discutir as experiências da protagonista e de outros sujeitos diaspóricos do romance, além de analisar o papel crucial que Hasina (e suas cartas) desempenham na narrativa. O atual contexto multicultural e cosmopolita da cidade de Londres também será investigado, com a discussão de situações que afetam os imigrantes e suas representações no romance. Esta dissertação também considera o caráter gendrado dos movimentos migratórios contemporâneos que possibilitam novas perspectivas acerca das consequências da diáspora. A análise de passagens selecionadas do romance ratifica o processo gradual de autonomia de Nazneen que, por fim, consegue se sentir em casa novamente / The objective of this dissertation is to analyze the novel Brick Lane (2003), by Monica Ali, focusing on the process of empowerment of the protagonist Nazneen. By making use of the concepts of place and non-place proposed by Marc Augé, I intend to examine passages from the novel that characterize the feeling of not-belonging experienced by the character. Nazneen resorts to the memories of her childhood with her sister Hasina in Bangladesh in order to escape the physical space of Brick Lane, which is a non-place for Nazneen, who is unable to reconstruct her identity fragmented in the process of dislocation from one culture to another. Considering the historical and cultural aspects of Bangladesh, Nazneens homeland, this work intends to discuss the experiences of the protagonist and other diasporic subjects in the novel as well as to analyze the crucial role played by Hasina (and her letters) in the narrative. The present multicultural and cosmopolitan context of London will also be investigated, with a discussion of real situations affecting immigrants and their representations in the novel. This dissertation also considers the gendered nature of contemporary migratory movements which offer new perspectives on the consequences of diaspora. I will also analyze selected passages from the novel that highlight the gradual process of autonomy experienced by Nazneen who, eventually, feels at home again

La recherche dans le domaine de l’informatique neuro-inspirée suscite beaucoup d'intérêt depuis quelques années. Avec des applications potentielles dans des domaines tels que le traitement de données à grande échelle, la robotique ou encore les systèmes autonomes intelligents pour ne citer qu'eux, des paradigmes de calcul bio-inspirés sont étudies pour la prochaine génération solutions informatiques (post-Moore, non-Von Neumann) ultra-basse consommation. Dans ce travail, nous discutons les rôles que les différentes technologies de mémoire résistive non-volatiles émergentes (RRAM), notamment (i) Phase Change Memory (PCM), (ii) Conductive-Bridge Memory (CBRAM) et de la mémoire basée sur une structure Metal-Oxide (OXRAM) peuvent jouer dans des dispositifs neuromorphiques dédies. Nous nous concentrons sur l'émulation des effets de plasticité synaptique comme la potentialisation à long terme (Long Term Potentiation, LTP), la dépression à long terme (Long Term Depression, LTD) et la théorie STDP (Spike-Timing Dependent Plasticity) avec des synapses RRAM. Nous avons développé à la fois de nouvelles architectures de faiblement énergivore, des méthodologies de programmation ainsi que des règles d’apprentissages simplifiées inspirées de la théorie STDP spécifiquement optimisées pour certaines technologies RRAM. Nous montrons l’implémentation de systèmes neuromorphiques a grande échelle et efficace énergétiquement selon deux approches différentes: (i) des synapses multi-niveaux déterministes et (ii) des synapses stochastiques binaires. Des prototypes d'applications telles que l’extraction de schéma visuel et auditif complexe sont également montres en utilisant des réseaux de neurones impulsionnels (Feed-forward Spiking Neural Network, SNN). Nous introduisons également une nouvelle méthodologie pour concevoir des neurones stochastiques très compacts qui exploitent les caractéristiques physiques intrinsèques des appareils CBRAM. / Research in the field of neuromorphic- and cognitive- computing has generated a lot of interest in recent years. With potential application in fields such as large-scale data driven computing, robotics, intelligent autonomous systems to name a few, bio-inspired computing paradigms are being investigated as the next generation (post-Moore, non-Von Neumann) ultra-low power computing solutions. In this work we discuss the role that different emerging non-volatile resistive memory technologies (RRAM), specifically (i) Phase Change Memory (PCM), (ii) Conductive-Bridge Memory (CBRAM) and Metal-Oxide based Memory (OXRAM) can play in dedicated neuromorphic hardware. We focus on the emulation of synaptic plasticity effects such as long-term potentiation (LTP), long term depression (LTD) and spike-timing dependent plasticity (STDP) with RRAM synapses. We developed novel low-power architectures, programming methodologies, and simplified STDP-like learning rules, optimized specifically for some RRAM technologies. We show the implementation of large-scale energy efficient neuromorphic systems with two different approaches (i) deterministic multi-level synapses and (ii) stochastic-binary synapses. Prototype applications such as complex visual- and auditory- pattern extraction are also shown using feed-forward spiking neural networks (SNN). We also introduce a novel methodology to design low-area efficient stochastic neurons that exploit intrinsic physical effects of CBRAM devices.
