Cvrčková, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the level of basic motor skills of preschool children in relation to gender, age, completion of the first figure changes, body composition and level of physical posture development. The study held from May 2013 to January 2014 included 208 children (101 boys and 107 girls) in the age range of 3 - 6 years old attending kindergartens. Each subject was observed based on 32 somatic characteristics (body height, weight, 8 width dimensions, 8 peripheral characteristics of the trunk and limbs, thickness of 14 skinfolds). There was performed the body mass fractionation according to Matiegka's equations for the analysis of body composition. The completion of first character transformations was examined by aspect assessment (according to Filipin rate), so was examined the quality of posture (methods according to Matthias) and the quality of postural functions (method according to Jaroš and Lomíček). In the case of basic motor skills there was chosen 20 ms run with standing start for the testing of speed capability, for the evaluation of explosive strength abilities was selected jump from the spot with two legs reflection, the testing of explosive strength of the upper limbs was exercised by a ball throw (150 g) by both right and left hand and the evaluation...

Komparace úrovně pohybové všestrannosti u dětí s rozdílným pohybovým zatěžováním / Comparison of physical versatility of children with different physical activity

Caisová, Hana January 2020 (has links)
The thesis deals with the problematics of movement versatility of younger school children at school PT and athletic sport training. The main target is using testing for measuring level of motor skills all round development. The theoretical part contains the description of terms as motor skills, practical training and its didactic aspects, all round development, effect of exercise on health, younger school children and specifics of training children of this age. The practical part focuses on testing the motor skills of younger school children and the results of performing the tests. One part of the tested sample is looking into the motor skills of those attending the athletic sport training and the other analyses the motor skills versality of the basic school children who do not attend any sports prep regularly. This thesis results may initiate the first grade teachers and the sports prep trainers to more thorough work with the less developed motor skilled.

Hodnocení kondiční připravenosti ve florbalu žen / Assessment of fitness preparedness of floorball women

Procházková, Jitka January 2019 (has links)
Title: Assessment of fitness preparedness of floorball women Objectives: The main aim of this work is to find out and compare selected motor skills in sixteen women player of floorball team (Czech extraleague). Another goal is to evaluate the adequacy of the selected test battery for identifying fitness readiness in floorball players using Pearson correlation coefficient. Methods: The method of (pre)experiment in the form of an intervention program was used. The research was carried out in the form of testing according to a test battery, which included four types of tests: run 50 m, run 30 m backwards, crunches repeated, bench press max (maximum weight in the individuality of the player) and bench press repeated (50 % body weight). The measured performance values in the tests were then evaluated and compared with each other. Results: The players of the tested group showed a significant improvement in 3 tests out of 5 overall after passing the input and output measurements. These consisted of crunches tests repeatedly (improvement by 10,82 %), bench press max (improvement by 6,1 %) and bench press repeatedly (improvement by 9,73 %). On the other hand, in the 50 m run and the 30 m run backwards test, we see little improvement. The players achieved the most significant improvement in the crunches test...

Visual perception and motor function of children with birth-weights under 1250grams and their full term normal birth weight peers at five to six years of age : a Cape Town study

Coetzer, Dorothea January 1996 (has links)
This study aimed to assess and compare the visual perceptual, visual motor integration and motor abilities of infants weighing less than 1250 grams at birth and a matched group of normal full birth weight controls at the age of five to six years. The group of infants with birth weights below 1250 grams were born during the period July 1988 to June 1989 at Groote Schuur Hospital (GSH), Cape Town or in midwife obstetric units in the Peninsula Maternal and Neonatal Service (PMNS) and referred to the neonatal intensive care unit at GSH. The very low birth weight (VLBW) infants were assessed at 1 and 2 years of age in 1989 & 1990. The present study was part of a broader study that included the examination of developmental outcome of these infants, using the Griffith's Mental Development Scale (Griffith's). The study recognised the complex interaction of biological and environmental factors and their influence on development and attempted to describe the confounds that may have influenced outcomes. The VLBW children were shorter in stature than their full birth weight counterparts. They were also significantly lighter and had smaller head circumferences. Psychometric evaluation with the Griffith's showed the VLBW children to fall predominantly in the normal range, though their performances were significantly inferior to that of the full-term children. The greatest differences between the groups were in scores for the subscales performance and practical reasoning of the Griffith's. Visual perception, visual motor integration, fine motor skill and gross motor function were all significantly poorer in the VLBW children. There was no correlation within the VLBW group between the test results and birth weight, gestational age, growth status, neonatal hospital stay or social status.

Oral hälsa hos individer med Parkinson sjukdom : En allmän litteraturstudie / Oral health in individuals with Parkinson's disease

Isaac, lulia, Shemoun, Mariam January 2022 (has links)
Aim: The aim was to describe oral health in individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD). Method: The study design was a general literature study where three databases were used to search for scientific articles (DOSS, CINAHL and MEDLINE). After applying inclusion, exclusion criteria, proper keywords and conducting a quality review, a total of 19 scientific articles were selected. Result: Oral hygiene tended to be worse in patients with PD. The results showed that xerostomia and hyposalivation are common in patients with PD. Caries, gingivitis and periodontitis were also shown among patients with PD where, among other things, periodontal measurements were shown to be higher in proportion in these individuals. Other oral conditions that were shown among individuals with PD were drooling, dysphagia, halitosis and angular cheilitis. Conclusion: Oral health was shown to be worse among individuals with PD compared to individuals without PD. The risk of being exposed to oral diseases such as caries, gingivitis and periodontitis was higher among these individuals where both drug intake and impaired motor skills have an effect.
