The actions of the superior education professor is decisive in the aiming of academic disciplines. This action is constructed and encompassed in the elements that influence it. The main concern of this study was to question the professor action while decisive for
the attribution of identity to Adapted Physical Education disciplines, its aiming, as well as the aspects that can contribute for the construction of this action. To elucidate such concern it was objectified to identify who is this professor of superior education in the
disciplines of Adapted Physical Education (APE) at institutions of superior education in the Mato Grosso do Sul state, his educational background and performance, as well as its representation about APE, correlating these data with the legal orientations and the
literature of this area. Having as starting point this conception, the qualitative research with interpretation and documentary scope was understood through the revision of literature, and if it would be capable to reach a "social objectivity" that involves the reality
of this construction that is the professor action in the relation with the Adapted Physical Education disciplines. In such way, seven institutions of Superior Education had been selected (one public and six private ones) that offer undergraduation courses and/or
teaching education courses in Physical Education in the Mato Grosso do Sul state. The collection of data was carried out through questionnaires with the seven professors of Adapted Physical Education disciplines, and digests and programs of this area literature.
This made possible to identify the proposals of the professors for Adapted Physical Education, by means of ¿ mapping¿ the initial formation of this area of study in the Mato Grosso do Sul state. Through the developed analyses can be shown that: the aspects
that have influence on the action of the professor are formed by the historical, social and political contexts; the Adapted Physical Education discipline is a product of the way it is constructed along the years of attendance for persons in deficiency conditions; the
development of the forms of attendance for persons in deficiency condition brought changes in the superior education. The inclusion empowers the necessities of the superior education reorganization; the International orientation with relation to the attendance of the PWD (person with deficiency) influence strongly the Brazilian law ; Each professor is an unique being and so his singularity reflects in the form he acts in adapted physical education disciplines. On this track, the action of the professor who attributes identity and aiming to Adapted Physical Education disciplines, and this action reflects how the experience is articulated (legal orientation, literature, digests and
programs of the disciplines), and how the individual interprets this human being subjective experience, and what meaning is attributed to it / Mestrado / Atividade Fisica, Adaptação e Saude / Mestre em Educação Física

The effect of training and development on the performance of employees in the Limpopo Gambling Board, Limpopo ProvinceLegodi, Mphengwa John January 2021 (has links)
Thesis (MPAM.) -- University of Limpopo, 2021 / Training and development plays a critical role in ensuring that employees perform better in their daily duties and most of the organizations view training and development as a waste of time and resources. Training and development plays a key role in motivating and inspiring employees in an organization. The study is aimed at analyzing the effect of training and development on the performance of employees in the Limpopo Gambling Board.
The study also aimed at investigating whether training and development can promote the performance of the employees in the board. The information was obtained using mainly a questionnaire survey which was circulated to employees in the board. A total of 33 completed questionnaires were received back from the respondents. Additionally, a face-to-face semi structured interview was conducted with the Manager: Human Resources in the board. Data collected was analysed using STATA.
The results from the study show that there is no training and development policy in the board. The further reveals that the majority of the respondents at 76.92% are able to implement the knowledge gained during training in their daily duties. This is a clear indication that training and development has a positive effect on the performance on the employees in the board. The study also indicated that employees are not given equal opportunity to attend training and development programmes in the board and this is supported by the majority of respondents at 84.62% who tend to believe that employees are not provided with equal opportunity to attend training and development in the board.
The majority of respondents and Manager Humana Resources highlighted budget constraints as the major problem with regard to training and development of employees in the board and therefore there is a need for the board to provide adequate funds to training and development of employees.

Examination of the implementation of a job-related social skills program in high school classes for students categorized as cognitively impaired: a case study approachHarris, Carolyn DeMeyer January 1989 (has links)
A job-related social skills program for high school students with mild cognitive impairments, using a range of media materials has been implemented in several school districts in Virginia. The program, developed under the auspices of the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs, will be examined in this study for issues of implementation and adoption in public high schools. The use of traditional experimental designs in program evaluation is seriously questioned when complex issues of implementation are involved. These issues are magnified in special education settings where subject assignment, sample size, individualized instruction, and teacher choice of materials are uniquely present. Consequently, a case study approach of four classrooms following the techniques of Miles and Huberman and Yin was used to examine the implementation process.
Three major factors were used to organize data collection: teacher understanding of existing curriculum and goals and teaching style, congruence between the existing and new content and decision making related to implementation, and instructional delivery and the way program use actually looked. While all teachers appeared to like and accept the program, they did not want it to alter their existing classroom plans, teaching styles, and personal interaction approaches. Each teacher showed a unique defense of his or her existing educational style, and the new program was adapted to the ongoing classroom situation, rather than vice versa. If faced with decisions between using the new program and fulfilling existing requirements, these teachers chose to reject the program. The great variation in implementation and modification of the program across these sites supports the need for more careful descriptive site by site studies that allow for differences that cannot easily be identified in quasi-experimental designs. / Ph. Furthering the education of young adults : an analysis of Statistics South Africa's internship programmeVan der Berg, Gwendoline Hilary 02 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to analyse the effectiveness of Statistics South Africa's internship programme in developing the statistical skills of interns. A mixed method approach which included semi-structured interviews, document study and electronic questionnaires was used to gain insight into the thoughts and perceptions of 38 participants. The study revealed that many of the crucial elements for a successful internship programme are present in the current internship programme. It was also found that the interns do not get the opportunity to implement or utilize their skills in the areas in which they are being placed. The absorption and retention strategy also seems to pose a challenge for the internship programme of which the goal is to retain as many statisticians as possible. Finally, a proper absorption strategy, better and more formal assessments, and a higher salary level for interns being absorbed into the organization should also be considered / Language Education, Art and Culture / M.
