Development of Indoor Environments with a Novel Indoor Mapping Approach for OpenStreetMap

Graichen, Thomas, Quinger, Sven, Heinkel, Ulrich, Strassenburg-Kleciak, Marek 29 March 2017 (has links) (PDF)
The community project OpenStreetMap (OSM), which is well-known for its open geographic data, still lacks a commonly accepted mapping scheme for indoor data. Most of the previous approaches show inconveniences in their mapping workflow and affect the mapper's motivation. In our paper, an easy to use data scheme for OSM indoor mapping is presented. Finally, by means of several rendering examples from our Android application, we show that the new data scheme is capable for real world scenarios.

PostGIS -Freie Geodaten in Freien Datenbanken

Pönisch, Jens 23 November 2010 (has links) (PDF)

OpenStreetMap-Karten selbst gebaut

Pönisch, Jens 07 May 2012 (has links) (PDF)

OpenStreetMap, the Wikipedia Map

Maier, Gunther 11 December 2014 (has links) (PDF)
This paper presents OpenStreetMap and closely related software as a resource for spatial economic research. The paper demonstrates how information can be extracted from OpenStreetMap, how it can be used as a geographical interface in web-based communication, and illustrates the value of the tools by use of a specific application, the WU campus GIS.

Gruschka, Erik 15 January 2016 (has links) (PDF)

Zhodnocení kvality dat OpenStreetMap v Praze / Quality assessment of the OpenStreetMap data in Prague

Zídek, Jan January 2016 (has links)
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is the largest and objectively the most successful project from all attempts to open-source alternative to commercial map databases and projects of the official agencies. OSM is widely popular in Czech Republic, but the quality of this VGI (volunteered geographic information) dataset has not yet been studied. This master thesis evaluates several aspects of quantifiable characteristics of buildings in Prague. The objective was to primarily evaluate completeness, semantic accuracy and shape accuracy of building footprints. Data from OSM were compared with Digital map of Prague by Geoportal Prague, which is the official map resource covering the area of the city Prague. The data processing was done in ArcGIS by the ESRI company. The results show that OSM in Prague have high semantic accuracy and almost 100% completeness in terms of total area, but more than 50% of buildings are missing basic descriptive data. In terms of shape accuracy the footprints were identified by smaller amount of vertices than the footprints from Geoportal Prague and in some cases certain architectural details were missing.

Klasifikace linek MHD z GNSS dat / Public Transportation Lines classification by GNSS data

Pizur, Jaroslav January 2021 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is digitalization of bus transportation. The input is represented by a sequence of GNSS data which are transformed to the OpenStreetMap format. Doing so, it is enriched by the information OpenStreetMap format provides and it gains its positional advantages as well. Then this thesis deals with ways by which one can detect bus lines from this general sequence of GNSS coordinates. A bus line is recognized as a repeating trajectory, which satisfies criteria derived from its expectable or defined characteristics. A few clustering solutions are proposed and tested for their performance. On the basis of this testing, there is one solution chosen as the best performing one, to be the proposed solution of this thesis. The overall output will therefore be formed by automatic mapping of bus lines with no theoretical area limit and with minimum manual intervention needed. It lays the foundations for various intelligent real-time processes to be implemented as well as allowing for infrastructure to be processed for the statistics purposes or urban planning.

Mobilní aplikace pro mapování OpenStreetMap v terénu / OpenStreetMap Terrain Mapping Mobile Application

Tesař, Miroslav January 2012 (has links)
This master's thesis deals with creating OpenStreetMap terrain mapping mobile application. The introduction describes project OpenStreetMap and the methods of collecting data. After that mobile platforms specifics are described. Android and OSMTracker are introduced in the next part of this work. Analysis is followed by description of implementation of OSMTracker extension.
