El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el grado de correlación entre el desarrollo pragmático del lenguaje oral y la producción de textos escritos, de tipo descriptivo y narrativo, en estudiantes que cursan quinto y sexto grado de primaria de centros escolares nacionales de Lima cercado. El estudio fue de tipo Descriptivo con Diseño Transversal – Correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 513 estudiantes de 5º y 6º de primaria la cual fue seleccionada mediante un muestreo polietápico intencionado. Se administró la sección Pragmática de la Batería del Lenguaje Objetiva y Criterial – Screening (BLOC-S), adaptada a Lima, y el Test de Producción de Texto Escrito (TEPTE), de procedencia peruana y tipificada en una muestra de escolares de Lima cercado clasificados por grados. Se concluye la existencia de una correlación estadística significativa entre desarrollo pragmático del lenguaje oral y la producción de textos escritos con un tamaño del efecto mediano. La correlación con los textos escritos descriptivo y narrativo tuvo un tamaño del efecto pequeño y mediano. / --- The aim of the research was to determine the degree of correlation between the pragmatic oral language development and production of written texts, narrative and descriptive in students taking fifth and sixth grade national fencing schools in Lima. The study was descriptive with Cross Design - correlational. The sample consisted of 513 students from 5th and 6th grade which was selected by multistage sampling intentional. Screening (BLOC-S), adapted to Lima, and Production Test of Written Text (TEPTE) of Peruvian origin and typified in a sample of schoolchildren in Lima fencing - Pragmatic section of the battery Objective Language and administered Criterial classified by grade. The existence of a statistically significant correlation between oral language pragmatic development and production of written texts with medium effect size is concluded. The correlation with the narrative and descriptive texts had a small effect size and medium. Mark Twain is universally recognized as an important author in American literature, and in addition to his success as an author, he was equally successful as an oral interpreter. His career as an interpreter and lecturer commenced at the age of twelve in Hannibal, Missouri, and in later years expanded to cover the globe. Twain lectured throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, India, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Scotland, and Canada. Throughout his writings, Mark Twain included statements pertaining to his delivery of these lectures and platform readings, and he also included comments on techniques for oral interpretation in general.

The purpose of this study is to devise a method of developing competency in the cutting and adaptation of prose and poetry for oral interpretation. This method is a pervasive element of the thesis and consists of (1) general principles derived from theories expressed by both interpretation and literary authorities and from observations made in the classroom, (2) suggested guidelines for cutting specific forms of literature, and (3) illustration of these directives by application to selected prose and poetry.
