Home surveillance is a major concern in this day and age as with the rapid increase in the technology around us. There is a need to get updated with new possibilities to make our lives better and easy. Some cases and situations exhibit the need for home monitoring. So, we set out to discover a solution to this problem of home monitoring. Generally, we have issues with pets and kids alike such as approaching dangerous places like electric switches, stairs, and hot things. Not only a problem with kids and pets but also a chance of burglary and stranger's unusual activities. To overcome this problem we are designing and prototyping a system to keep an eye on kids, pets, and older people. This system is used in other applications like theft monitoring. The device can monitor the field all the time. In this way, this system helps in-home monitoring. The system consists of Arduino, which is the brain of the system, the PIR sensor, ESP32-CAM, and buzzer. The PIR sensor detects motion then gives input to the Arduino. Arduino gives output to the ESP32-CAM and buzzer. The ESP32-CAM can be activated and sends information to the user through the web Interface and the application. The user can see the video streaming on the PC screen or any other display. The buzzer can emit a high volume signal indicating that "there is an alert at the home".

The work deals with the available options of security devices for basements, design and implementation of its own security equipment. An FPGA chip from Xilinx was used as a device control. The device also contains a GSM module for sending information via SMS about space violation. Intrusion signaling can also be signaled by a siren. Intrusion detection is performed using a door and motion sensor. The whole device is powered by a battery, but there is also the possibility of mains power.

Bird feeding is somthing most are familiar with, either when children are feeding the swans or adults using some type of bird feeder in the garden. This project took that as inspiration to create something that automatically feed the birds while also monitoring them by capturing a picture and sending out this information as a teet on Twitter. This thesis examined if it was possible to connect different components relatively simple in order to create something more advanced. Research of the components was the first step in order to ensure the ability to create such a product. The following components were used, a Raspberry Pi 3 b+, Raspberry Pi camera module, IKEA PIR sensor, zigbee USB dongel, ultrasonic sensor and a micro servo motor. These components were connected to the Raspberry Pi and tested individually to ensure quality and function. When successfully tested, implementing them together was done and later construction of the mounting brackets and housing was made. Testing was done and results were finalized. This showed that all of our research questions were successfully answered with positive results and further research around implementing AI and weather protection would be usefully to successfully make this a fully functioning product. / Fågelmatning är något de flesta de flesta känner till, antingen när barn matar svanar eller vuxna som har en fågelmatare i trädgården. Det här projektet tog det som inspiration för att skapa något som automatiskt matar fåglar samtidigt som den övervakar funktionen genom att ta kort och skicka denna information som en tweet på Twitter. Den här avhandlingen undersökte om det var möjligt att sammankoppla olika komponenter relativt enkelt för att skapa något mer avancerat. Forskning om komponenterna var det första steget i att undersöka om detta var möjligt. Följande komponenter kom att användas, an Raspberry Pi 3 b+, Raspberry Pi kameramodul, IKEA PIRsensor, zigbee USBdongel, ultraljudsensor och en micro servomotor. Dessa komponenter kopplades in i Raspberry Pi:en och testades individuellt för att säkerhetställa kvalite och funktion. När testerna var lyckade implementerades de tillsammans och konstruktionen av fästen och ytterhölje fördigställdes. Tester gjordes och resultat sammanställdes. Dessa visade att alla våra forskningsfrågor blev besvarade med ett positivt resultat och framtida forskning kring implementeringen av AI och väderskydd är något som skulle kunna möjliggöra detta att bli en fullt fuktionerande produkt.

This diploma work discusses the design of an automatic lighting for the home. Each access point in the rooms is designed to detect with two laser beams. Laser beams can be extended with PIR sensor and a mechanical switch. An access point can be, for example frames . By this is achieved that when entering the room the light is switched on and the light goes off when leaving. Automatic lighting controls consists of the central panel, the remote sensing and the detection frame. The control panel controls laser beams and lights. Remote control is used to switch on/off the light in the certain room. The detection frame is used to detect a person who enters or leaves the room.

Due to environmental concerns and competition within the industry there is an imminent need by paper manufacturers to asses the paper consumption depending on the quality of the tissue paper. For this purpose, the consumption of tissue paper from a tissue vending machine needs to be monitored and calculated. A Hall Effect Sensor coupled with a Passive Infrared Sensor was used to monitor the flow of paper per Person. MATLAB is used as the programming language to read the signals from the sensors. The consumption obtained would be used to obtain better, less bulky design models. As well deduce an optimum paper dimensions to get reduce the paper consumption. This diploma thesis deals with design, realization and analysis of security and surveillance systems for buildings and spaces containing advanced components. One of the main design's parts is dedicated to intruder alarm system, access system, attendance and CCTV systems with the possibility of automatic motion tracking. Controlling and monitoring of particular subsystems is possible both locally and remotely from a computer via a web interface or by means of a software. The access to camera system from a mobile phone is also possible. IAS/ACS systems also enable controlling and transferring information about their state via SMS. The designed system was realized completely and its operating was demonstrated. The realization is described in detail including illustration of configuration of particular components. A security analysis and a possible future development of the project is summarized in the conclusion.
