The parking problem is nowadays one of the major issues in urban transportation planning and traffic management research. In fact, the consequences of the lack of parking slots along with the inadequate management of these facilities are tremendous. The aim of this thesis is to provide efficient and robust algorithms in order to save time and money for drivers and to increase the income of parking managers. The problem is formulated as a multi-objective assignment problem in static and dynamic environments. First, for the static environment, we propose new two-phase heuristics to calculate an approximation of the set of efficient solutions for a bi-objective problem. In the first phase, we generate the supported efficient set with a standard dichotomic algorithm. In the second phase we use four metaheuristics to generate an approximation of the non-supported efficient solutions. The proposed approaches are tested on the bi-objective shortest path problem and the biobjective assignment problem. For the dynamic environment, we propose a mixed integer linear programming formulation that is solved several times over a given horizon. The objective functions consist of a balance between the satisfaction of drivers and the interest of the parking managers. Two approaches are proposed for this dynamic assignment problem with or without learning phase. To reinforce the learning phase, an estimation of distribution algorithm is proposed to predict the future demand. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms, simulation tests have been carried out. A pilot implementation has also been conducted in the parking of the University of Valenciennes, using an existing platform called framework for context aware transportation services, which allows dynamic deployment of services. This platform can dynamically switch from one approach to another depending on the context. This thesis is part of the project SYstem For Smart Road Applications (SYFRA).

Stockholm County Council is a democratically controlled organization, one of their main responsibilities is that people has access to a well-functioning public transport. Trafikförvaltningen of Stockholm is responsible for developing and taking care of the public transport. One aim is to increase traveling by public transport while achieving environmental objectives. A bus that is clean, without any dents of fault and temperately warm will increase customer satisfaction and promote working as a bus driver. The most common way to park our buses today is outside lined up along the heating ramps. The technology in the bus has been developed over the years but the heat ramps haven’t been developed as much. The working environment the driver requires, according to a government decision, is temperature 5 °C at the driver's seat and supply air temperature 10 °C at the defroster jets these are the minimum requirements for the bus when it takes into service at the beginning of a shift. Buses parked outdoors require a large amount of energy to meet the requirements of the bus driver's working environment. If we instead park buses indoors we can save money and achieve environmental objectives. The aim of this master thesis is to investigate pay-back time for the investment of parking buses indoors instead of parking buses outdoors on heating ramp. The work highlights the bus parking condition and the working environment for the bus driver the advantages and disadvantages if we park our buses indoors in halls instead of outdoors. We need to learn more about the conditions in the bus depots to increase interest of change. An investment can help the organization achieve environmental goals, reduce energy consumption, improve the working environment for the bus driver, increase customer satisfaction and protect our buses from bad weather and become independent of the outdoor temperature.

Nová Jižní čtvrť a její propojení s řekou Svratkou / New South District and its Connection to SvratkaŠpirková, Silvia January 2019 (has links)
The assignment of the diploma thesis follows the pre-diploma project of an urbanistic design - New South District and its Connection to Svratka. The subject of the thesis is a design of the apartment building on the riverside of Svratka. The thesis has a form of architectonic study. The architectural design is interconnected with surrounding built-up area and preserves the existing height level. It also respects the definened riverside. The construction has a shape of the letter "U" opening towards the river. The shift of the north "wing" of the building creats widened "inner block". It offers diverse views on the river and accentuates an "incorporation" of the river to inner block. The residential building has six floors and two underground parking floors. It is devided into 7 units with separate entrances. The proposed part of the building is located directly on the riverbank. It includes 16 housing units and one leasable space.

Hranice – redefinice městské struktury / Hranice – redefinition of urban structureUherková, Ivona January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis Park and Ride deals with the design of a car park in the town of Hranice, which is known mainly for its important transport train node and Hranice Abyss. The city now suffers from the high intensity of car traffic in the city center due to insufficient street network. This network is disrupted by a four-lane road that was built in the 1980s and cut natural transport links. The abolition of the four-lane road, which is now lacking in transport services, releases a large amount of development area, which is primarily used as an agri-recreational area. Part of this green belt is the parking house, which prevents the entry of surplus cars into the city center. The parking house is a new transport hub of the city, which also includes elements of alternative transport - transfer to public transport or bicycle, which makes it possible to create a city center pleasant for pedestrians.
